Mum was visiting Hokitika today so came over here to check on this one. No sign of any container here anymore so Mum made up a new cache. All good to go here again, Happy Caching
Rattll and I are on a road trip around the South Island for three weeks. Today, Day 16, we've started in Hokitika and have spent the day between there and Greymouth. Our main goal has been completion of the puzzle part of the Survivor series, plus any Confused Ducks that we could pick up. Anything else has been a bonus.Discovered the container out in the open, possibly been disturbed by mowing around GZ. No log inside, so put a replacement (signed, of course) in. Placed in the most logical spot that fitted the hint. Tftc!
Parked up at the near by NZMCA park, we had a quick wander to pick up a couple of caches before heading onwards in the search for 'survivor's', and the odd confused duck! The container was sitting in the open here, with nothing in it. The lawns are freshly mown, so it probably got disturbed then.We put a piece of paper in it, and placed it with a rock on top. Thanks for setting this up
We drove from Greymouth to Hokitika today and are staying overnight very close to this cache. Went for a short walk to pick it up. Quick find because it was exposed. Covered it up more securely after signing the log book. #7164. TFTC.
An interesting little stop off for a quick find. No problems here, cache exactly where the hint suggests. Thanks for placing.
Thought we should stop here as we came down for a flying event (that was cancelled), nice spot, thanks
We are staying close by to this one so took a very short stroll to GZ. We searched for some while - no luck for us either This may very well be missing so an OAR added Tim and Viv - ddm
Down south from Tauranga. On a roadie with a group of friends. Great to collect a few caches along the way. Many thanks.Sigining as Team DAM to save room on logs. Found wilderness trail today. I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. Its just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.
Mum checked this on the way home yesterday after a DNF came in via a message. It had infact gone so she came back with a replacement today. All good to go here again. Happy Caching
Day 7 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Fox Glacier to Punakaiki. We also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.
***T4T$ - Many Thanks to gracie7 + Mum for hiding and maintaining of this cache s*** ️

Found it! As we pulled into the parking lot on our bikes we saw another person who asked us if we were looking for what she had, and indeed we were! Always nice to catch another cacher in the act! TFTC!
We stopped here to check on this one on the way to Ross today. Mainly because there was supposed to be a TB in it and we didnt think it was big enough for one (unless it was a micro). All good with the cache but there was no TB present - perhaps it was dropped in the wrong cache. Hopefully it moves on shortly. Happy Caching
Stayed at the nzmca and made an enjoyable walk before heading off, thanks for the placement.
2660. A late evening raid from the adjacent motor caravan park. Not a whitebaiter to be seen. TFTC!!!
Quick find during my overnight stay. The clouds broke and it was a stunning day to go for a quick walk. Thanks for the cache!
A stopover in Hokitika on the way to Wanaka for c family holiday. I left the noise (teenagers) at home and headed out for some quiet caching. Had a great chat with a local, waited for him to leave and then went hunting. No luck, evidence of hiding rocks but no cache.

When Albi mentioned about his work commitments at Fox Glacier, as always we decided to make a trip out of it, but this time its a long over due overnight one. Spending quality time together, enjoying the drive, picking up some caches, small walks, and also cherry on top, a Heli ride woo-hoo.
Easy straightforward find here. TFTC.

Staying at the NZMCA Park nearby,, this was a nice quick find after a very wet night. The original container had a large crack and lots of water so I have dried the log and replaced the container with one the same. Cheers for the cache
Day 2 on the Wilderness cycle trail. We were cycling from the Dorothy Falls to Hokitika on a very hot sunny day. We had time to stop for a few caches and this was one of them. Tftc
Staying in the NZMCA Park next door. Geopup wanted a walk so we went exploring to see what we can find. A geocache is a bonus. Found a pathway to the beach so exploring we went. Nice quick easy find. TFTC.
Tried before a while ago without success. Had place to self today and quick find. Tftc
Found while staying at the motorhome park. Enjoying my travels down the south a lot. TFTC
Not sure how someone couldve missed this as it was right out on the path where it wasnt supposed to be. After checking it was alright we placed it back under the rock where it shouldve been. All good to go now. Happy Caching
Whilst staying at the NZMCA park next door, I had a look and think I see where this cache should be, but alas nothing was found?
Out on our evening walk now it's fined up. Everyone must be inside watching shortland street. TFTC
I'm exploring the Coast in my motorhome, staying tonight in the nearby NZMCA camp.
Interesting bit of local history here, thanks

I had a free day in Hokitika today, so decided to hire a bike and ride out to Lake Mahinapua. Stopped for this cache along the way and soon found it at GZ. TFTC!
We were out doing some maintenance further out and stopped to see why someone said this logbook was wet. It had a floral log which you can just wipe dry but while we were here we added a waterproof logstrip instead. Still all good here. Happy Caching
Especially enjoyed this find while travelling aroung the West Coast with tmann421.
This I calculated to being my 10,000th find (Although the numbers do not add up as my caches have been logged out of order). Quite an achievement in just under 3 years.
I would not have managed this without the encouragment and support of tmann421!!!
Thanks for placing this memorable cache
