#11,992. Boxing Day. Do I head to the discount sales at the malls or go geocaching? Difficult choice - not. Left home by 8am and headed over to the Wairarapa. The sun in Wellington disappeared as I crossed the Remutaka saddle. But weather has improved as the day lengthened. Stopped here to grab this old archived cache. No idea why I didn't stop here previously when it was still active. After checking out one wrong spot I headed back to another and found the container lying in a pool of water and mud. It looked quite sad and neglected. Everything inside was soup so I drained that out and put in a fresh logsheet and plastic bag. Signed the new logsheet and replaced the container in a slightly drier spot at the hint location. Thanks skindo for hiding it here all those long years ago. Now onwards towards the coast.
(# 6625). A trip to Castlepoint and Riversdale Beach primarily to get the Adventure Lab caches. Got some others as well. A quick find. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.
Have been poking around all over the area, grabing the odd cache here and there, many thanks to all the cvache placers - Bitsprayer
Doing some cycle touring in the Wairarapa Region. Stopped on the way from Castle Point to Masterton at the top of the hill. Thanks for hiding Skindo.

On a lovely weekend away in Castlepoint I found this with Tharn the Halkan, Jaeh68 and rikjwells (and a couple of non-cachers who enjoy finding caches!). Thanks for this cache which added to the weekend fun.
Found this one with the TePanipi crew on our joint family holiday to Castlepoint. Thanks for your hide!
Found this cache with thebigflax whanau while we were on a joint family holiday to castlepoint. Thanks for the mint cache

Thanks For The Cache and many greetings from Germany.
After a major road trip of 750km down to Masterton for the Wings Over Wairarapa air show the weather unfortunately caused both days of the show to be cancelled. However the start of the week was to be our "tourist" time to see some of the Wairarapa sights and the weather has improved to give a cloudless summer's day for our drive to Castlepoint today. Also great weather for a bit of caching with the aim today to break the 500 cache milestone.
As we drove out to Castlepoint we kept a check on roadside caches which had a reasonable place close to the GZ to get the Falcon off the road safely. After the "little saddle" we made a higher climb to get to the "big saddle" cache which also quickly located and the log signed.

Travelling around looking at our wonderful home land.
Weather has been inclement but this has not dampened our enthusiasm.

One of 20 caches located today, mostly between Masterton and Castlepoint. Straightforward find. Log is a bit damp. #1411. TFTC.
A weekend away with the family, visiting various spots in the Wairarapa, so what better to do than nab a few caches that happen to be on the route. Mostly good weather and the roads not too busy made for some good caching.

Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

My 50th cache, a wee mile stone. Thank you! Easy find, bit uncomfortable when trucks/cars drive past as you are so far out there and it would no doubt invoke curiosity in any passing car seeing you crouch beside a fence
Soon found this cache on a quick trip out to Castlepoint.
Very sunny hot day.
