Unfortunately this one has gone. Seem to get a lot of muggle activity here, so will look out for another spot in the area that is better.
I've been informed this one has gone missing again. Putting it on hold for the moment until I can replace it. Think I'll look for a better spot.
Vacations 2019 - Road trip trough New Zealand
With Geoesposa, this was my 50th anniversary. 16 days, 4200Kms and a few hundreds smilles after, i was sure i saw nothing....
I liked everything, the friendly and civilized people, the way the country works, the roads and especially the natural beauty of New Zealand.
I fell in love....
I decided to go back in 5 years, I easily see myself living my last days somewhere lost in any stunning scenery of this wonderful country.
With the itinerary studied at home, the caches were the ones that were in the chosen places, and a few used to stretch the legs. It was decidedly not the most important on this trip. Of all the visited, only half a dozen did not appear, all being in good health except two or three.
I will use this generic log, not for disrespect of the owners, but due to the amount of caches visited. Here the majority of caches serve to show something beautiful (as it should be), not giving importance to the container.
My thanks to all the ownwers who, allied to the natural beauty of the country, have made this vacation unforgettable.

A drive around the interesting cabins and found we could have climbed up from the lake edge. TFTC
Met the neighbours and had quite a yarn. They wanted to tell us where it was, which wasn't too hard in the end. What a view and well worth the stop on a beautiful Autumn day. Thank you.
I check on my caches up here on a regular basis, the last 3 times I've checked on this one it has been quite exposed. Can you PLEASE make sure you cover this cache well. I don't know if it's being disturbed by muggles or cachers being careless. As I left it today it was invisible to someone who wasn't looking for it. Please leave it as you found it. Thank you and happy caching!
Out with BaldEd on a caching adventure in the upper parts of the Rangitata River. We were ahead of a busload of American toursts.
We were surprised by the large number of caravans below us.
Cheers for the cache.

Out with Tufty on a caching trip to Erewhon and Clearwater. We were both amazed at the number of campers set up below our view point. Thanks for the cache Geomum007
Spending a day geocaching with Tairanium. On our way to Mount Sunday (Edoras). Lots of caravans here today. TFTC.
While visiting from Ohio on the *Viking Orion,* I took an excursion out to see Mount Sunday and the fabled homeland of the Rohirrim. We were getting close but stopped here for some photos beforehand, and I decided to risk it all and try to make it to this cache before the bus drove away. Luckily for me it was a quick find and I made it back just as the last passenger was boarding so nobody even knew I was gone. Whew!
Found it and certainly enjoyed the views and a rest at the end of the walk around the lake. Thanks for the cache.
Climbed up the track from the camping ground to be rewarded with great views. TFTC
Took Ferret 2 Wine Gum trackable for a visit to the lakes. He has a great view until he is next picked up.
A perfect day at Clearwater - wonderful reflections of snowy mountains in the mirror-smooth lake. I was up here for maintenance on my own caches at Mt Potts area. Sat comfortably and signed the log. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2537)
A quick find here after climbing Mt Sunday with BCD. The last time we were here we were on the other side of the lake swimming out to the Island to visit Clearwater Resort. TFTC
Found with StreetWalker on an Easter weekend trip to the Mt Somers area, and beyond.
Wow, what a stunning lake. How wonderful to have a holiday home overlooking this view. Just a lone sail boat on the lake while we were there. Good to have a seat on which to do the paperwork, and of course, admire the vista. Thanks for bringing me here, Geomum and TFTC.

#15393. A short walk and a quick find at a great viewpoint. Sadly there was no time to have a go at the cache on the island today. TFTC.
Great to enjoy the the view from the seat on this hot evening and find a cache as a bonus. TFTC
Checked on this one today, cache had gone. It's been replaced and is all go again.
Found all safe and secure with team_macdonald on a geo adventure cache is very damp .... for interest we saw a lage cat and wondered if it may of been one of Legends hmmmm will have to Google that when we get home tftc
Jdscout and I camped at Lake Heron. I have not been there before or Lake Clearwater. The road was quite rutted to Lake Clearwater so we decided not to go any further. We were both amazed with the amount of holiday homes in the area.
We both preferred this wee lake to the other one. It was peaceful. We could see the area around the lake but it was quiet cloudy.

Checked out the camping ground down below ready for a summer camping trip and then had a tiki tour around viewing some of the homes for holiday rent and then back up top to grab this one. a nice place to sit and take in the views of the lake and to sign the cache. It is great to see the amazing places that our country has to offer. No issues with this one all was good. tftc found with chiko1
No one about today so KR and I could grab this one easily. Only a few caravans down below, not quite the season right now! Cheers
All quiet in the baches/cribs today so made a quick find. Cheers. Lovely view over the lake.
I was planning a wee raid to Ashvegas today, then noticed 3 new puzzles up Lake Clearwater way. A quick change of plan, and a text to Kiwi Moose checking on his keenness, and we were off, to a glorious part of the country.
Had a great day, and found plenty to keep us busy.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

It was nice to sit in the sun on a clear and warm day and look over the Mirror Lake.We found the Log Book damp,so dried it out on the seat.Pleased that no one was in residence at the nearby houses..TFTH
Mr Sharpe was running a race around the Arrowsmith Range so Mrs Sharpe and Threesharpe went for a wander around Clearwater. The view from here was just stunning!!! And the mountains decided to peep out as well. Such a beautiful spot.
At this stop you have a really nice view to Lake Clearwater and a place to rest.
Thanks!

An awesome morning dawned. We waited for the sun to rise a bit & the frost/ice to start melting before heading out on a family adventure to the Ashburton Lakes district. A great day.
After having lunch the boys wanted to have a play on the lake (which was frozen solid. Heaps of ice skaters, a few quad bikes towing sleds & a random go-cart!)....so whilst they wandered down to the lake for a look I moved the car to the carpark below this cache & wandered up for the quick find and sign...then headed back down to the lake! Way cool.

Thanks to Peter Jacksons Edoras, otherwise I would probably not have visited Mount Sunday, what a amazing place. On my way back I stopped here for some more caches. TFTC

We stayed a (very cold) night alone on this campsite and searched some Caches around. A nice view to a small island. Tftc.
Found safe and sound. Have placed further log page. Busy place today with school camp in residence. TFTC
Once we found the right street, we easily found the seat & hide. Thanks for bringing us to this lovely viewpoint

Mallorcatommy and I were on our journey through the southern island of New Zealand. With the help of geocaches we came to so many beautiful places, saw breath-taking landscapes and had, all in all a very wonderful journey! Thank you to all owners for placing all those nice geocaches!
tftc found it on the walk after breakfast on the way to do some fishing(hurt finger!!!!!)!!
We are staying at Methven for the weekend. Heading up towards Mt Sunday today. Very strong winds here today. Camp ground was busy, so approached from the top. TFTC!
A quick easy find at a nice viewpoint of the lake, after driving through this interesting little village. TFTC
Found easily on a quick walk around looking at the baches before we returned to Christchurch. Had no pencil on me so I couldn't sign the log (unless there's a tiny one in the cache container). There was a hell of a wind picking up coming down the valley, but had magic weather for the 2 days we were here. Not long enough.
Found it on a day trip to Lake Clearwater and back from Christchurch. What a lovely lake, very photogenic today, zero wind no clouds stunning reflections in the water with all to cold frosts ice is forming behind the island, amazing. Other than a few people around enjoying the sunshine I had the GZ to myself no one to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to. Quick easy find nice hide TFTC.
A day out with Mrs Nofs. A couple of nice walks, a coffee or two and a few caches - something for everyone. Thanks.
We had a lot of fun with this. When we biking up I fell over to the thorny bush. Haha. Great seat for log and view. Thanks
This was my first find for the New Year, just a shortclimb up behing our camp.
Cheers and many thanks for placing it here,

Brilliant day to come into the high country. 15 degree, light warm wind and blue sky. Carried on up the road to Mt Sunday.
