Not my favourite road to find a parking space on but cache found signed and replaced
The not so little turmoils wanted to hang out at the Morayfield shops so I dumped them and then headed out along Caboolture River Rd for the AL and all the caches up to Rocksberg. I really enjoyed the scenery and found some awesome picnic areas along the way. Some were complete with access to the Caboolture River which will be a hit for us in the warmer months. It took me quite a while to find this cache. I was looking in every tree and stump in the area. Just as I gave up, I found just the top of a bison hanging on the fence. Bugger. But, a little more determined searching underneath and I found the rest. It doesn't reach its hidey hole because the zip tie is too short, but it is all now in one piece.
Found cache very easily as it must not have been put back in its hide hole. Lovely views and fresh air. We were out in Rocksberg today to collect some rocks for the Geokid to paint so we collected the caches in the area before heading back for school pickup. Found with my partner DL197 this was out day off together
Pretty easy find could see it from the car when we pulled up. It had come out of its hidey hole. signed log and returned cache, so it is hidden again.
Thanks for the cache!
Found 13/07/23 1:10pm with bryce3515.

You just have to love a south east Queensland winter, whilst the mornings can be cool the days are often bright and pleasing and a trip out into the nearby country side to hint caches is a lovely way to spend a morning.
After finding an appropriate spot to park the geowagon, I walked over to collect the prize. It was soon found, log extracted and signature added before returning safely for the next cacher to find.
Very pleased to be able to turn this cache into a yellow smilie and off of search of my next adventure.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Almost a park and grab except but we didn’t actually park where we should have. The cache had been dislodged from its suspected home so I spotted it on approach. Thanks Slow Puncture (LJCC)
A nice quick find. Surprised by the number of cars travelling this road at the same time as us. TFTC
A lovely drive around the countryside bought us to this cache. After eventually getting it open we signed the log. The attachment had rusted through so we added a new one and put it in its snug place. Thanks Slow Puncture for keeping this one going.
Headed north for a few adventure labs, picking up a few caches that I passed.
Funny names for the crossings
Thank you

Our last day in Caboolture today. Had a few other things to do as well so satisfied ourselves with an Ad Lab and a dew traditionals on the way.
Set ourselves up with a tree fishing pole as there were a few Ad Lab bonuses that required this. Hadn't been able to do them when we did the actual Labs.
A lovely day!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Slow Puncture (LJCC).

Cloaca Maxima
A long-forgotten feature of Ankh-Morpork, believed to have been built in the time of an earlier empire with higher standards of public cleanliness, as a major sewer for safely disposing of the city's various forms of waste. The project was ordered by - or at least built in the time of - Cirone IV, a King of Old Ankh.
As a couple of thousand years' worth of Ankh-Morpork was constructed on top of the Imperial one, with more free and easy attitudes to waste disposal, the Cloaca remained, but lost and forgotten. Until, during one summer heatwave when the level of the river was abnormally low, Lance-Constables Cuddy and Detritus inadvertently re-discovered it.

We were pondering the hint when I spotted it in plain sight. I tucked it away after signing the log. Thanks for the cache
In way home from work so stopped to get this one, as no knowing when I will get this way again.
Very badly signed as scribble stick decided to not like this log paper. At least date and 1st part of name done before pen stopped working.

Started solving the nearby AC series on the weekend of the Dayboro mega when it was bucketing down and I forgot to bring a rain jacket. Today, with torrential rain forecast I have brought along my rain , umbrella ️ and hat and of course no rain lol . Only grabbed a few of the series today with more to solve.
Carrying on my adventure today with a few more caches. What a gorgeous outlook for this cache. I wondered if the owner ever climbed those hills. All good with the cache ️

I had picked the Caboolture River Road area for my caching target for the day. It is a 1 hour drive from home to get here so I had worked out a plan based on the AL series and a number of caches along the way. This cache was on the list.
After driving to the last of the AL series I stopped to find a couple of caches which we had driven past.
This was a quick find.

TFTC. Another sneaky location, glad to have been the one who spied the cache in its sneaky little hidey.
When I started working, 5 Quid was a weeks wages, now it would only get 2 cups of coffee, Thanks for the hide here, Slow Puncture, it is in good condition, also did a bit of CITO while here

Heading out to find this cache for a VIP challenge. Great country & loved the creek crossing nameseasy find!
Found by Mary and David at 13:00. Loved the cache name - just perfect! Actually some blue sky and periods of sunshine after days of rain. Our thanks to Slow Puncture (LJCC).
Lovely spot but there was a vigilante dog on guard.
On a trip north to get to Dayboro with Kittykatch, Isopeda and Barb2e. Been lots of fun and laughs.

Wednesday. Out on a maintenance run.
The bottom part of the bison (containing the logbook was indeed missing (why?). We have replaced the whole apparatus with a new small bison and it is tucked inside the adjacent fence post.
Ready to go. Go, go, go!

Logging with CO's permission as it was indeed only half of a bison remaining. Thoroughly enjoyed this particular stretch of country road. TFTC Outback Di and to Slow Puncture for maintaining it
Cache to be disabled until we can fix it. Appears half the bison is missing.
Unfortunately I found only part of the cache. The other half seems to be missing. ️
Tftc Slow puncture, made the find fairly quickly here. Beautiful country to drive through.
Reception is indeed an issue at GZ!
Out this way to collect caches along a mini power trail (Agatha Christie) and the bonus cache for a nearby adventure lab, we decided to try our luck at this trad.
This is a great area. I have spent years living in Caboolture, and travelling to Rocksberg to swim in the rockpools, look for rocks and driftwood for the fish tank, and generally have a great time outdoors. There are some sections of this road that, when the rains are plentify, look so beautiful they belong on a movie set. Tree lined country roads and fresh air. Yes please, more of this! Cache found without issue .
Starting to fade about now - really need more water, to wear a hat and sunscreen, eat some food, and generally get out of the sun. It's been a great day .

Was taken on an unexpected ride today, and after visiting a nearby geoart series we found ourselves heading past here. Memories of another series way west this container was quickly spotted in it's hidey-spot.

Out and about in the area picking up some caches on a beautiful spring morning. A quick find after a short search. TNLNSL TFTC .
Today after work I decided to stay in the area and designate the rest of the day for caching. I saw that their was a new AL series nearby so I decided to get started on that and grab any other caches as I travelled to complete that. My morning started in Morayfield and I made my way through Upper Caboolture and ended up in Rocksberg. I've never ventured out this way before, so it was great to come to a new place and enjoy the scenery.
Very quick find here, but my phones reception is really poor and the battery is nearly dead. Gotta hurry to get these last couple before it dies for good.

Out today to continue my challenges of a trad a day and a cache a day. An early start to grab a couple of FTF’s over at Ningi and then to do this adventure lab in the area followed by grabbing a few trads on the way back. Phone service was sporadic at times but still managed to get the job done. If it wasn’t for the lab series I would have never come this way. A beautiful area and one I must come back to on a better day, it also seems to be popular with the locals and campers.
I walked over and the first thing I noticed was the foot traffic that had been through here. Cache was an easy find and blends in well with the area, was able to rest here to sign the log. With log signed and cache replaced it was off to the next one in the area, thank you.

Out and about for the first day of the year caching with Fangsoki, and picking up a particular attribute I needed more of for a challenge. Having grabbed Cockie’s Crossing, we made the short journey back to this one, where the find was easily made.

It was too nice a day to stay at home, plus I'd built up some brownie points with Sadra and the geomonsters were out yahooing around with the neighbours kids, so a peaceful mornings caching was in order.
Spotted this one as I headed towards GZ.
Thanks!!

Another one I haven't found in apaprently a very long time...
I pulled up at GZ and immediately spotted the cache. I wonder if it was supposed to be quite like that. I signed the log and hid it a little better. The cache was in good condition. TFTC Slow Puncture (LJCC)

After being in self appointed quarantine the last week due to one of the kids testing positive to Whooping Cough (all is good - no symptoms and are now clear) , we were finally safe to be let loose in public again and decided a few caches would help relieve the cabin fever we were suffering.
I have never been down this road even though I live virtually above it in the hills. I pulled over close to the GZ and found the cache and signed the log.

I keep looking at this name and seeing Squid - confusing.... Found a good space to park across the road from gz and was approached by 2 friendly horses - a big and a little one (I had actually thought that the little one was a sheep from a distance - it was about the same size!)
Found the cache out in the open, so after signing tucked it back into its snug spot.

HA HA, this one is a very simple cache but we made it a little harder for ourselves as we approached from another direction and were looking at all sorts of hidey holes except for out in the open!
In trying to find a place to turn around to park safely to look for the nearby cache "Ten Bob", MrsLangy drove almost to this cache so we stopped, and searched.
A couple of large cache guardians (aka orb weavers) prevented LittleMan & the quite arachnophobia MrsLangy from getting too close to GZ.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
currently in Woodford as Mr Felix had some work at the Woodford Festival. With that time now over its time to get back with reality and out and about caching and shopping.

I had the cruise control on at 80 km/h and was drifting up the road when a white kind of delivery truck decided he didn't like my speed and was driving right in my date. He was so close that he could probably smell what I had for breakfast. I wanted to slow down so I didn't overshoot GZ and with very few places to pull in I was worried I would miss it.
When I found a spot I pulled over and the minivan went racing by. He went by so fast that I didn't have time to get the window down to let some proverbials out. A quick look at the phone and I only had a 100m to go.
This time I slowly rolled down to GZ and raced across the road for a quick find in case the driver from Duel came back to finish the job. tftc

A perfect afternoon for a drive with the geokids and what area better than this to do it in. With the list of caches I was aiming to turn into smiles in hand we set off on our mission.
Road was pretty busy with muggles driving by, so this one was a quick park and grab.

After working at Morayfield, we spent the afternoon on a hunt for thirteen geocaches starting at the far end of Caboolture River Road. What a fabulous piece of countryside merging into the urban areas of Morayfield. We found all thirteen caches.
