No luck for us and there are only so many places matching the hint so not sure if it is still there.
On a weekend mission with Cats&Dragons, for a bit of a numbers run along the new trails around the Northern Manawatu area, and anything else along the way. As usual these types of trips mean maximizing caching time and minimizing sleep time. So with a 2am start time Saturday morning we left home and headed South, and not getting back home til 8.30pm Sunday night. Some numbers for the trip as I know we all like caching stats are:
* 1450km traveled.
* 286 caches found (192 on Saturday, 94 on Sunday) with only 3 DNF's
* 4 hours sleep
* With a 3 hour each way drive to the Caching area, so about 32 hours of caching in the 42 hours we were away at an average of nearly 9 caches per hour, this isn't including stopping for fuel and coffee!!!
So a huge thanks to all the CO's for the placements, and for the reason to see some more of our wonderful country, we saw some pretty amazing places. Sorry for the copy and paste logs. We signed the log books HKCD, or HKCBC&D.

Over this way with MissT10 today to find a few more caches. A quick find here - SL and left as found. Thanks for the placement capperz.
Out geocaching with LGLNZ - please see LGLNZ's log below. Thanks for the cache capperz.
Our once in a lifetime road trip through the beautiful country of New Zealand lead us to so many great places.
We enjoyed our time and had a quick stopp here to grab this Geocache because it was on our way.
Thanks to all the owners for their great caches!

Been on a visit to Apiti, just up the road and we dodged the crowds in Kimbolton (Cross Hills Country Fair day brings them out!) to make our way to this one.
At this time of the year a visit to this area rewards with some magnificent rhodos and azaleas in bloom. To be enjoyed.
Cache in order; log signed, safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Third cach in Kimbolton on our way through - probably wrong time of the year for a garden visit but will didn't know it was there until today so will keep in mind TFTC
cache number 20 of our 24 cache (for me) back-road blitz road trip to clear a chunk of Capperz' Kimbolton caches.
I was very confused when my navigator directed me to a cache called "Road...OH! Or Rodeo?" at a botanical garden... It was only when I queried/corrected him as we were leaving that he clicked to his error and the significance of the actual cache name.
There is a really nice hide location on the back of the sign, but I assume that the sign is newer than the cache?

[green] Heard a rumour that Capperz may be archiving some of his caches around the Manawatu so since I was up for the event in Wanganui I made it an aim to do the loop around Kimbolton. But the ferry is booked at lunchtime, so that meant a 6am start. Etherlord hadn't done these caches either, so he came along. All logs signed as ECATS - Etherlord Clan and the Seagnoid.
Found a great hiding place on the sign, but it wasn't there. Ah! Here it is! Hey! A trackable!

Quick find at a garden I didn't even know about and I used to live in Kimbolton years ago!

Thank you for that cache.

A very nice place to stop and smell the flowers... well it would be if Mr P and I weren't on a mission to get to Taihape via the back roads. t4tc
Another lovely setting and gardens with still quite. Few Rhodes blooming. I took this photo as we approached the gardens and though just how serene and beautiful the setting was. Thank you for the cache.
We had decided to take a day off from working on our own garden and headed away in Barnaby to visit one we hadn't visited in 20 years or more: Cross Hills. After spending a couple of hours there it was time to do some Geocaching. I was pleased to see there were a lot of caches to choose from around Kimbolton and after visiting Cross Hills, this seemed like a logical first choice. We had never heard of the Heritage Park before. While Mrs B read the information board I searched for the cache, which was a nice easy find, thanks. We felt all 'gardened out' by that stage, so will leave walking round the Heritage Park for another time. TFTC
The day was planned, decisions made about what caches to do, the spring weather seemed to have arrived but the dawn broke, it was wet windy and cold. JonoS and I decided to go anyway and left Wanganui at 8 am. last stop in Kimbolton but although the weather was wet the Rhodos were beautiful. Thanks for bring us to such a pretty town. We will be back to complete the PT caches. too wet and cold today and we are too hungry to linger longer. TFTC
A very quick stop to log the cache and a glimpse of the Rhodos before jumping back into the warm car.
A very successful day with MJMNZ despite the variable weather with rain and V. cold wind.

Another clever capperz title! All quiet here and a quick grab. Thanks capperz for all these fun caches around Kimbolton.
Found today with Adventure Collectors while attending the event and CITO in Kimbolton. a great day caching and good company. Lots of familiar faces and some from out of the area. Teamed up with Adventure Collectors, SpudNZ, tommygun9 and atomsNZ. To save space we logged ourselves as Team Fasta. Quickly found by AtomsNZ. TFTC
Arrived early so went up to get this one..an amazing garden..thanks capperz for this one!Joined with the group later in the morning and had a great day. Thanks!
#1053 Out on a mish to Kimbolton with Nic-Jay and collecting some caches on the way there and back. Barely had to leave the car to nab this one. Nice little hide. The gardens look lovely, thanks for pointing them out
Out on a road trip collecting caches on the way to and from an event in Kimbolton with Skaga. I managed to park almost on top of this one - a little more reach and Skaga would have been able to nab it from the car. TFTC A beautiful little spot.
On the road again with Gap (of Fap and Gap). Up at the crack of dawn to travel down-country to an event in Kimbolton... The things we do for an August Souvenir.
After the seven cache mini trail east of Kiwitea, we decided to tidy up the remaining caches in Kimbolton. This was a quick find, thanks to a good hint. This must be a nice place to visit in Spring. TFTC.

Needed to do an event cache to get our August souvenir challenge. Problem was, where is an event cache close by. Mrs Fap found one 300km away in Kimbleton, there appeared to be nothing closer. Phoned Squirrel Nutcas who was a keen starter so Kimbolton it was. All this way so planned to pick up a few more on the way. Left Rotorua at 6am and back home by 8.30pm with 58 caches found, not a bad day at all.

Today's mission was a good one; 50 caches, getting my bronze CITO and FTF Addict badges, moving from bronze to silver in both the Mysterious Cacher and Social Cacher badges and going up a belt! And, probably most importantly, becoming part of team FASTA which, along our travels, took part in probably one of the largest unplanned cache convergences this region has ever seen.
AtomsNZ and I headed towards the likely spot and found the typical "that's not right" that Geocachers are used to noticing. Firewoof seemed impressed with how easily this was located.

Our last cache in Kimbolton today. What a absolute blast we have had here. Thanks so much capperz and nightowl19 for rolling out the welcome mat .

This Sunday was designated a "Caching Day" due to an event and a CITO in Kimbolten, as well as some new caching and a nice little back country road power trail. With the 4WD loaded up with SpudNZ, Tommygun9, Myself and Baby Tommygun9 we headed off to complete a 50 cache day. During the day we partnered up with Firewoof and Adventure Collectors to become Team FASTA (some of the nano logs needed space saving). At one cache we met so many people it almost became "Team EVERYONE" and an impromptu event! Quickly found by engaging our Geosenses. T F T C
Drove out to Kimbolton today as the lure of all of those caches in the one place was too much for me. Grabbed the ones in town first and then drove around the back roads picking up the others as we went. Such a quiet little town, barely anyone around when we were in town and driving round the back roads we passed maybe two cars total. It was such a nice day to do this drive, clear skies, few clouds on the horizon and very beautiful views. Thanks for all of the caches in this area, we really enjoyed our caching trip today.
This was our second cache of the day, easily found using the hint. Thanks for the cache.

A nice sunny day for our trip around Kimbolton. It was nice and clear so we managed to get looks of great views! We were able to search in peace as we barely saw anyone around. All of the caches around this area were really well done and I enjoyed my drive around today. Thanks for all of the caches!
An interesting place, bit of a surprise to find it tucked away in the middle of nowhere.

The wrong season for us to view the Rhodo’s, looks like a nice Heritage Park….. so off we go back on the Road …Oh! TFTC.
Got it! This was supposed to be the second last one for today but we got sidetracked by a couple more... Tftc we will come back to see the rhodos when they are flowering.
Didn't have too much time to have a wander around, as we were on a mission to have a run in the ranges, but it looked like a lovely place.

Came here on a weekend trip to the Manawatu. I remember visiting this garden many years ago in early November when the rhododendrons were flowering and it was quite spectacular. Nobody at all around today though. Found the cache quickly - signed log, TFTC
Another nice easy find for our friends/helpers, we might have them hooked! TFTC
#5211. Nice gardens. The car park was empty when we arrived, which made for a quick find. Soon enough other visitors arrived shortly afterwards, but thankfully they went straight to the closer car parks ... away from GZ. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Had to make this a very quick park and grab as the rain had really started to set in. No chance to appreciate the gardens. TFTC
#6648. A quick detour to the gardens, but no time for further exploration today. TFTC.
We visited at the right time of year because the rhodos were in full flower. Flushed out a rabbit when we arrived - a black one (or it was very dark brown). Never seen a black wild rabbit before. Now have cached out Kimbolton (again) - thanks for all the caches, capperz.
A MEGA Adventure
Both Nova Lightning and myself had set ourselves caching targets that we were hoping to meet in time for the NZMEGA in a few weeks. So with a plan in progress and fuel in the tank away we set.
Departed home at 6pm Friday, returned home 3.30pm Monday, 7 hours sleep approx 470 caches and a great adventure.
Thanks to all those that have placed caches especially Skindo as I think we gave his caches a bit of a nudge
Thanks for a great weekend of Caching and Bull.

Mega Weekend
It all started about a month ago when Cats&Dragons brought up the idea of heading down the line to collect 350+ caches. We both had targets that we wanted to meet before attending the NZ Mega. Plans and locations were drawn up and puzzles were begun to be solved. It took me a while to get my head around a few of the puzzles and with the help of a cacher I was soon on a roll.
The weekend finally came and we departed Hamilton at 6pm on a Friday night. 3days, 2,000km, & 11hrs sleep, later 472 caches collected. Thanks to all those who's caches I found especially Skindo with a huge number laid.

Another quick park and grab on the way out of the valley back down to Wellington. TFTC !
Had stopped to get the first set of coords for Kimbolton Kache, so while I was sorting that out, Broadbridges quickly found this one.

No problems with the find. Took a quick look at the Park - a few rhododendrons are flowering now, and many more in bud. Would like to come back with a picnic and time to wander round. A lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us here.
FTF at about 2pm.
Found on a nice sunny but chilly afternoon.
A quick find after spotting the hiding place from the car.
Thanks.

I am looking forward to this one as , indeed, both the heritage park and cross hills are beautiful places esp in Oct/ when all in full bloom.. so thanks for putting this there it will act as an excuse to go and visit the beauty once again! thanks
