Lovely spot, but another dnf. I searched for quite some time, and decided to retreat.
Found on a drive down and up the Mot river valley, it's surprising how many trees were likely contenders in the area but once gps settled down took me to exactly where I needed to be. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache, all in good order.
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Another nice patch of bush/forest and cache easily found as per hint. T F T C Sidewaze.
Have been perusing my 'local' map and looking for clusters of caches for me to drive out to and making a day trip of (without the dangers of big drops/mountainous terrain/weather-vulnerable) and the area either side of the Motueka river looked a likely target area. I've not been any further than Tapawera on this side road and also not fully explored the back road of Motueka. So I sat right down and wrote myself a . . . . cache list. Target caches totalled over 40 and I was keen to get as many of those as I could. The final total was 37 finds, 3 DNFs and one tree climbing not attempted, or stopped for. My cache find total bumandworker went up again, and my Sidewaze totals are pushing towards third place in my all-time list of COs. A great day out and such beautiful Autumn scenery that the camera cannot truly convey. Scouted out some decent looking trout fishing spots too. Thanks to all COs for their placements. Individual logs at the start of the listing.

Another nice bit of bush. By the wway, it's raining. And I am under trees. And I don't have the hand-computer loaded with this are, so I am caching by cellphone. Pretty impressed I found it as the computer though the cache was still aways off, and there are loads of hint items here!
---
Off to Motueka to drop a bike back into Dad's place. New handle bar grips, brakes fixed, new rear bearings, crank bearings fixed - about the only thing that worked correctly was the gearing. Anyway, all good now, back home it goes. Stopped off here along the way.

Slipped back to this cache and with no one about did a quick recovery and sign. Back on the road with no further muggles about. Seams we wern't the only ones thinking this road will be quieter today. TFTC
Right this time we have a clear road - parked found the cache and got the log signed back at the car before any one else came through love this little stretch of road with the trees touching across the road - lovely today in the dappled sunlight - thanks for the cache
Geo cycling the GTT over 3 days, picking up caches on the way. Day 2, motueka to tapawera. Always enjoy driving through this Avenue of trees, was even more special on a pushbike.
Another nice spot, just proves views aren't always the best, a lovely forest is sometimes nicer.
Always like this piece of road , good excuse to stop and walk in the bush. TFTC.
Magic indeed, have enjoyed driving through here before, thanks for the reason to stop and TFTC
Another quick find while doing a few caches in the area on my way home from a morning hunt up a nearby valley TFTC
With loss of GPS signal, we had to search far and wide to find this one, but got it in the end. We picked up TheWonderStuff's "YOURS TO KEEP #5020150" at the cache.
I've been aiming to get this one for a very long time but never come quite this far. Nice to tick it off! TFTC
Fascinating piece of road to drive on.. and quite a couple of the things mentioned in the hint, but I managed to find the right one

Found while cycling from Richmond through to Motueka. A beautiful patch of bush. TFTC
Today we did the big loop through Tapawera up to Motueka and then back to Nelson. Luckily a quick grab here as theres not much room for parking on the narrow road. But your right it looks and feels totally magical in here. Thanks for the cache
#9949. This patch of bush was most unexpected (thought it did make for a rather narrow stretch of road). Well worth a cache here. TFTC.
Cool drive through this area, with the canopy of trees making an arch above us and well worth a cache. TFTC.
Always liked driving through here theres something about driving along a road and it is enclosed by a canopy.Cheers
Having worked in Mot this morning I thought that I should strike while the iron was hot as this seemed like a good road to take to get back to Richmond.
Got to GZ to realise that I hadn't updated my coordinates - ugh.
Luckily I had written down the new ones so after a bit of pffaffing with the GPS it had me pointing in the right direction. I love the parking spot near the old cache. Completely off the road and well hidden from view.
A quick find and sign in the nice new log book.
Thanks for replacing as this is a fine tunnel of trees to come and admire.

TFTC. A bit of a drive to get to the "tunnel" but worth it - there is a special magic about this bit of bush.
As we were passing, we had a quick look at what had to be the hint object, but we too failed to find anything.
Located the gnarliest tree next to the road with a hole next door that I could have hidden my car in. Thought it had good possibilities. Expanded my search and found a couple of less gnarly ones. No luck
Been through here once before, it is pretty awesome... TFTC (1370)
Found on the drive north to Takaka from Christchurch for a few days there with family during my annual leave.

I agree with you Sidewaze, there is a magical feeling driving through this section of the road. Quick find with Sir Belac. TFTC

Great spot. Having ridden down from Flora the eyeballs were just ceasing to shake about here. Thanks for placing the cache. Team Teapot recalls another cache in this area back in the day - we must be getting old.
The tree tunnel near GZ reminded us of England on a sunny day. Would be a fab place to be in autumn too. Thanks for the cache.
Nice one! Great spot for a cache and the hide was really well chosen too. I left my car outside the "tunnel" and walked on to GZ. On the way I found and retrieved what I think must have been the old 'Tunnel Vision' cache container - sans lid - brought back a few memories so I brought it home and hope to recycle it eventually. TFTC, Biggles.
Always special driving through here with the sun filtering through the trees. TFTC #5029
Out on a Motueka Valley loop drive with the father in law. This is a lovely avenue of trees/bush. Cache soon spotted.
Thanks Sidewaze for placing this cache.

We decided the wind was too strong for a bike ride - but the sun was too nice not to go out. So we did a cache finding and maintaining circuit after a morning in the garden.
Started at the furtherest from home so this was the first. Yes - we have been here before more than once and once for a cache. Happy to repeat the visit and cache found in the first place checked.
Took a trackable.
Thanks.

Is there a better excuse to get out and about then a few new caches to hunt down with the grandson? The weather felt like spring and it even looked like it with the early lambs already frolicking around. A joint FTF with Holymu. Dropped TB. TFTC
A joint FTF with Hazedarus. When these caches were published we had no thought of doing them today, then gave visiting grandson the option of a drive 'out country' after another planned activity was called off so off we went. It took us much less time than expected with an extra pair of eyes on the job. I can claim the find here in a favourite childhood spot. One of the joys of visiting nearby rellies was the drive through these 'tree tunnels'. TFTC.
Pleased to see a replacement cache in the tunnel, a cool spot. GPS coverage was pretty average for me so I used the hint which made it blatantly obvious at 20m. TFTC in a great spot.
