Passed by today and GZ appears to be in the middle of roadworks. With previous DNF's already it might need a check by the CO.
Road works in progress. Looks like the cache has joined the army ie is a lieutenant (left tenant)
No luck here for us today. Lots of trees cut down here for road works hope it wasn't lost
There’s been some very recent clearing of trees for what looks like roadworks so we suspect this cache is a casualty.
A bit of distance from #4 to here at #5 but it didn’t take long. Just loving driving out here in the country with less traffic. Found my route to access this one and I must admit the GPS was a little jumpy so had me check a couple of locations before it settled and I spotted the cache. Phew! I didn’t want a DNF. I see it’s received a pretty new logbook and we added our signature.
Cheers and happy caching!

TFTC. We stayed behind in Dayboro after the Mega to do some more of the caches in the area. Another day caching with friends muff1. A great day out exploring the area.
We made the decision to spend another week at the Dayboro showgrounds to give ourselves the opportunity to find more of the many caches that have been placed in the area. Finally the rain has become non existent and we have had a warm sunny day. The area is still showing signs of all the rain we have had recently with the creeks flowing fast with the sides of the roads still very soft. We found all of the caches that we attempted today. Dayboro Day, Final Day
Today we chose to retrace our tracks to look for caches we had passed previously
The finds were mostly along backroads. It's always good caching in the country.
This also included a drive to Lake Samsonvale to complete the AL
Thankyou wingaap for placing this cache.

Today with Day 3 of the Dayboro Mega event (final Easter weekend day), I returned back to Dayboro to attempt a solo yet full day of finding the various solved *Geosaurus* and *We* ?? *Geo* geoart, as well as any other interesting cache types. Time was spent south around Samsonvale, north-east around Mount Pleasant, and east around Rush Creek. The rain continued to fall, but it came in patches that still allowed some pleasant geocaching, yet somehow the rain knew when I was farthest from the car, for which it then fell heavily. I met a few more Geocachers during the day, and as I finally lost light, it was time for the final closing ceremony of the Mega, and an opportunity to get dry from the day's activities.
During my travels around the vicinity, I made a stop here, and the cache was a reasonably quick find. This cache was nicely constructed, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Whovian aka. wingaap for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

#2324 - Commuting to the Qld Mega every day with gcraider. Having finished all the Lab Caches and attended a few interesting seminars it's now time to explore further afield.
We have solved all the "Horse" puzzle caches and will attempt to find a few in between showers if we can help it. On the way we pick up a few trads as well.
Apologies for the generic logs on these, but during a Mega there generally isn't enough time to write essays..... Finding caches and having fun is our main aim.

Log not signed, because it was soaking wet. If the CO needs proof of our find (gcraider and Dutchie1950) I can send a photograph.
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 09:40. Our first for the day that featured almost continuous light drizzle. Happily, a quick one. Our thanks to wingaap.
I found this cache as part of the Dayboro Mega Event. I stopped by the side of the road and made my way towards the trees. I was looking at my phone assessing how far away I was and then looked up. There was the cache. I was also a Doctor Who fan of the original BBC series. Tom Baker was my favourite Doctor. Thanks for the cache
Found this cache as part of our Easter long-weekend road trip to the Dayboro mega event. A great adventure and plenty of finds, teamed up with Wilbert, Mizmaz and steeba for this roadtrip.
Many of our logs are signed with "Gong gang" to represent all four of us who were present. Apologise for the boiler style log.
Not the best day for caching due to the weather but we still had fun slipping n sliding.
Thanks for the cache.

Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!! ??
Second day of mega and the weather turned off. We are still out there and caching, just getting wet, but thats all part of the game. A lot of caches found again in the Dayboro area before we left in the afternoon.

Have Barb sorted now. Log is damp.
So cool to have made it to the Mega now to get the caches we spent months solving and other nearby caches.
On a trip north to get to Dayboro with Kittykatch, Isopeda and Barb2e. Been lots of fun and laughs.
Signing via stamp as Capital Crunchers.

Just picking up some caches for the afternoon while attending the Dayboro mega. TFTC.
On a dismal and wet afternoon we worked out a caching run with ilook4geo which included a mix of traditional, challenge and puzzle caches. All containers were OK and each log was dry. Sometimes full caching names were used and sometimes it was just initials. Thanks go to the CO for placing this cache, which was a pleasure to find.
Signed today as MINIFIGA! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. It was a wet day today but we still managed to grab a lot of caches as we navigated the rain and puddles.
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

Dayboro trip. Day 9. The first full day of the Mega proper dawned and with it the formal opening was observed early in the morning. We then broke into team to spend th3e day caching, targeting the several geo-art series in the vicinity of Dayboro. I was joined by Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss. There were showers on and off all day, but the caching went well, with only a few small breaks when it was too wet. It was great to see all the caches in place and despite some of them being fun and tricky, the pre-mega puzzle solving effort was well rewarded.
Thanks.

24,103. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 4. An early start today with an aim of caching our way through some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way This was the first stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks whovian !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
After the Mega Opening Ceremony, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS! & Albida33, signing logs as MiNiFiGA's. Today was the day to put our puzzle solving hard work to the test. We did not let the persistent rain dampen our spirits, tackling the Horse, Pacman & part of the We <3 Geo Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a Round 5 win in the Trivia Night.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

After today's CITO, Nayfee and I hung out, caching our way around Dayboro to get a headstart on some things for the mega. It was hard to park nearby with a car close behind so I had to park on the lane around the corner and walk around.
We parked directly opposite (just) and headed in to make a remarkably quick find of this lovely silhouette. The logbook has been wet in the past but is mostly dry now - not bad, given yesterday’s rain!

What a great series but very scary to attempt pulling off the road with a speed limit of 100k’s & at most times being tailgated. So glad to have completed these as my nerves are shot. TFTC
Came at this one from wrong direction so endured quite a bush bash but got there in the end. Enjoying this series. Tftc
It’s been awhile since we’ve done any Geocaching, however it’s lovely to be out today on this mild autumn day, now that we are allowed to leave our homes again within a certain radius.
We found this one quickly after pulling up nearby just before the intersection.

This was one of our many finds today as we went on a caching binge to get our numbers up in 2020 and try and get our daily find stats up a little higher also. This was a quick and easy find something that could not be said for some of our other finds today. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam. And whovian your caches have inspiration from wingaap.
Out today with Chamad and Team Tyrrell chasing down a few caches on the far side of Lake Samsonvale for the day.
We met up at the first cache out by Cedar Creek and we all got into the one car and we headed off to collect many more.
We had a great day out hunting in this beautiful scenic area.

Found after a 120m walk from where we had parked on side road (not great parking on main road) and a scramble down a very steep bank to take a back way in. Very busy main road with speedsters so take care with youngsters!!!
Geo hubby did a bit of wondering around in the bush before it was located. Awesome cache TFTC
Have a Heart had been the next cache on my list after the Eclipse in the bush but upon passing gz twice, a car was pulled up nearby so I did want to disturb them and trying to wait out while having a lunch snack in the car down the road but then decided to go a bit further north to a few in this area and return later.

Bag is torn and log is damp and unfortunately I didn’t have my repair kit with me. Hopefully the next cacher can replace the bag. I did manage to get my name in the log.

Hi there wingaap.
Today's venture had us heading out from our camp at Dayboro Showground to spend a morning caching with Liz & Bruce. All up we found 37 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache about 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Ian & Penny.

On our day trip to Dayboro we had taken the detour around the roadworks and had to miss out on a few caches in that area. After lunch at Dayboro we started heading home and stopped off at this one of the series.
It took me a couple of minutes before I spotted the cache and then a bit of a stretch to retrieve it.
