I love graveyards at night! Alas it is not night now, so it is all the better to see with. Which didn't help. No find. Time for a CO check.
Second visit, second DNF, Although it was dark, there was nothing that looked like a cache. So back on the watchlist.
Couldn't find it, was searching at in the dark tho. Will have a look again in the day
Interesting container - found this a while back but just getting to log it now. TFTC!
I really enjoy wandering round graveyards reading all the sad and special memorials to loved ones. This cache was missing last time I looked for it. Nice quick and fun find thanks. I had an idea of what the special container might be but I was wrong. TFTC #6636
On an epic caching mission with Surveybase to North canterbury, Waipara, Culverdon, Springs Junction, Reefton, Greymouth, Arthurs Pass and back to Rangiora over two days. Final count for the weekend was Saturday 124 caches, Sunday 80 caches. not a bad weekends work. sorry for the cut and paste but it would take forever to log them all.
Rbman and I are visiting New Zealand with a group, Overseas Adventure Travel. We are enjoying the South Island of New Zealand. We are from Lincoln, Nebraska USA. TFTC. SL
foundit! with peteach! From Lincoln, Nebraska, USA and on a group tour of the country so finding what we can when we can get away from the group. Fortunately we make stops at places where caches are waiting to be found!
That was a really cool container!!( one of my favorites here in NZ!)
I had to look twice;-)) thank you for hiding

tftc staying at the top ten holiday park great place can recommend highly. had two mor to hit 400 this is 399.
This is my favourite canister ever. What a fabulous idea. Found with monkey hanger & Piedmonte pirate.
quickly morning cache on day 16th of our NZ holiday. Left today from Greymouth to Hamners Spring. Did some caches yesterday evening. This one was the closest to our campground. Saved it for this morning because it was not on route of my evening walk. Nice cache, one fav. for the container. TFTC
What a great container. Well themed ! From Australia and live near a cemetery. Will be trying this !
A daytime search for us with this one... Chelzea dislikes graveyards at night. After reading the last logs we were not going to spend too much time and were about to leave when something caught my eye and there it was. Nice in theme container. TFTC
Staying at the nearby holiday park and walking back after dinner. A very well themed hide soon found with good coordinates, thanks gracie 7 + Mum.
Was nosing around a gap in the scrub when the caretaker called out, "That's my cave". This is where he hides tree prunings. Had to explain geocaching to him. He then told me about the object with little notebook that he found hanging in there explaining that he left it on the ground. He was quite to happy to play the game and leave it. Nice idea for a cache container.
I though I logged this one but I guess I didn't. We enjoyed the hunt Thanks for putting it out there.
TFTH We would never have never known that there was this great cemetery behind our hotel if it weren't for geocaching. Since being on our trip in New Zealand we have gotten two new geocachers and maybe two more. All of us are from the US and we are really enjoying your country.
Does doing it at 8pm constitute a night cache? We enjoy looking at the old graves. TFTC
Great container. We are visiting the area and decided to pop in and see a couple of relatives buried here. Always time for a wee cache as well. TFTC
I started to look for the cache before sunset. No success. So I thought I'd be more successful at night. Came back when it was pitch black, but again I found nothing. Very quiet place!
Looking at twilight with my son. So perhaps best we did not find it. cheers from casa del hince TFTC
I used to stay at camping ground as a kid and walked through he many a time. Brings back memories. Thanks
Enjoyed the container, pleased we were looking for the cache in daylight it would be a scary find after dark. TFTC
We managed to get a theme container so came out tonight and replaced it. This one isnt as cartoon-ish as the first so if you scare easily to better bring an extra pair of undies.
#8365. Not particularly scary in the late afternoon (though my shortcut up a steep bank from the motor camp was just a little scary). Took a bit of finding once we got to GZ. TFTC.
We tried to access this from the cycle/walk way but found the Holiday park and a steep bank separating us from GZ. StreetWalker went one way and I went another. He found access while I didn't and had to retrace my steps. It was a wee while before I finally made it to the cemetery and by this time StreetWalker had found the cache and signed the logbook.
Then we found another access path to the walkway as we still had a couple more caches to find there. TFTC.

We placed a temporary cache(pill cont) just to tide us over until we can get a new themed cache.
Happy caching
Happy caching
We stopped to check on the cache tonight and couldnt find anything. As this is a themed cache we will have to try and find something before the time limit or we might have to archive it.
We spent 25 min at GZ but could not find something in plain view which might be a container. Maybe next time.
Wow this is a BIG graveyard. My son and I went for a wee walk from the nearby motorcamp and he found it. Great cache - so appropriate for the location. cheers
In cemetry looking for the grave of a great grandfather. Found grave and cache. Cool container. TFTC.
Went searching in the dark to add to the fun Eventually found A bit harder in the dark Cool looking cache
A quick find not too far away from where we were staying.. Found on a weekend trip to the Coast with Kiwi Moose. Thanks for the hide.
The last one before dinner on our bike ride, right next to the camp ground is very conveniant. Nice container too. Cheers
Nice little find while touring the west coast of NZ. Good walk from our Ashley Hotel after dinner. Needed to use my phone flashlight to locate the cache even with a good hint. Took photo to show my tour mates. TFTC
Quick easy find on a short walk from our accomodation as we prepared for Coast To Coast. Loved the container well done. Thanks for the hide.
Day 10 of our NZ-Road Trip brought us from Franz Josef up to Greymouth.
We have found some beautiful Caches along the road.
Thanks to the Owners for hiding them and showing us so nice places.

Sun just setting as we arrived at gz. Not dark but it soon would be. I was very distracted by the local Weeping Angels but kept my nerve while finding the cache. I was very careful not to blink. Kiwi Grandad just thought I was going nuts. The cache wasn't as frightening as the angels. Lol.
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the cache.

Quick find along with Mr KE. Not sure about spooky at night ,when I was young we used to play hide at seek at our local cemetery. TFTC
This one is very spooky at night. Having my best caching day and still going, i need to make the most of the few hours i have in Greymouth. Log signed at 11.03 pm. Love the container, i can't say its the most pleasurable cache I've done but definitely the most freaky still worth a favourite though TFTC

Graveyards are spooky in the day!! Having just finished our stroll around the airport...this was the last one on the way home....to the nephews anyway. Just as we were getting to the graveyard the nephew showed me the old gate...I said that it must be a big cemetery as there was still 250m to go!! I decided to walk down the middle of the cemetery so that I could then see which way the GPS would turn. There was nobody about...well there wouldn’t be...it’s p*ss*ng with rain...and we are soaked to the skin...literally..and for some reason I stopped in the middle to read a headstone. It was for a family where the Husband..Dad..had died aged 48... then a few years later one of the sons died aged 21...then another few years later the other son died...but I can’t remember his age?...and then finally the Wife and mother..aged 75 . Then we carried on our way...but then the nephew said “there’s a dog following us” and as I turned around it stopped....Spooky!!....as the dog was standing next to the grave that we’d just stopped at!! We carried on walking...and the dog was following us again....we carried on...and it was still following...so I said to the nephew “let’s see what happens when we walk towards him..or her”...we’d taken about 6 or 7 steps before it turned around and run off to the right. I looked at the GPS and noticed that we needed to start heading up to the left...so we found a way through and it started counting down...about 40m to go and realised that we needed to head towards the back of the cemetery...found our way through the next couple of lines of graves..and “there’s that dog again”..”where?” I said...as I was trying to spot him amongst all the headstones....”over there...can you see him?”....”No” I said...but then after a few more glances I could see him..just sitting there watching us...Spooky!!....there was only 20m to go now so I’d guessed where the GZ was taking us. As we approached we could see the clearing behind so made our way in for the search....after a bit of a search the nephew found it...”Look at this!!”....Spooky!! Replaced where found and made our way out through the old part and into the new part of the graveyard....the dog....stopped....turned and walked away...I looked at the headstones after he left...3 hours old..5 hours old...1 day..5days..very sad. I don’t know if he was trying to tell us something but it was a very sobering experience....especially when we are standing here in the p*ss*ng rain absolutely soaked to the skin....reminding us that this year has got to be better than the last one...with close family.. family... friends... and pets... 9 of them... all leaving us for the better place!!
“Some people walk in the rain....others get wet” always remember that saying.....it’s just that we got wet as well!! Got a few caches in though....now time for a nice hot shower!! Life goes on....

Interesting cache to go looking for with Lego ninja and two young friends he had made at the campground. Glad it was an easy one. Tftc.
Expected something like this container....not spooky for us....more sad. Very near the grave of a friend and family tragically died a few years ago.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thats one more find for me and my little sister ! Cute little container TFTC
Tried at night, felt remebered at lost(maria) and it was too dark. We'll try again tomorrow at daylight.
This graveyard wasn´t spooky, but sad. Most of graves were dark, there were very little flowers. When realising that the graveyard was very large for the place I understood the reason. I looked at the graves more closely and saw most of them were very old, a lot from the last century, some people were murdered(!) I have never seen a graveyard like that. An interesting place, it told a lot about the distant past. Nice cache, thanks. Greetings from the Czech Republic.
Went out after dinner with 5 interested muggles who were interested in the graveyard as well as geocaching. After we read the hint it was a short search. We all liked the container. TFTC.
Team_Gaters and I have planned a this trip over the last few months. We finally got to the business end of things and kicked off out West Coast raid. We had two days and a lot of boxes to tick. We started at 5am on Saturday morning and it took over 12 hours to get to Greymouth. We drove a lot, walked a lot and had a lot of laughs. We experienced 4 seasons and even contemplated aborting the mission as we were standing in icy cold weather freezing as the rain came pelting down in Arthurs Pass. We encountered matigouri, rosehips, blackberries, brambles, spainairds, baby gorse and old man gorse!!! Still finding parts of prickles in my skin! We also saw kea, weka, cave weta, tree weta, giant slugs, giant spiders in caves, west coasters, fat wood pidgeons, tui and a giant dragon fly. Had wet feet for nearly two days. Three FTFs and on of them was unpublished (first for me).
After breakfast and before heading back to Christchurch it would have been rude not to visit these caches near our lovely campground home. So we headed out for a stroll and picked up these ones and stretched the legs. Nice quick find and we only saw one muggle on the way to GZ. Fun cache container.
Awesome weekend. TG and I joked that going back to work would be a bit of a let down, so to combat that we would keep one foot in a bucket of water and the other one on top of a pin cusion, that should ignite the memories.
Thanks for the cache.

In Greymouth with TheWanglers on a caching weekend. Stayed at the nearby Top10 so thought it rude not to have a mornings constitutional and collect the few nearby caches - stretch the legs and ease into the day. Nice one. Cheers.
Spooky find, but didn't disturb the neighbours. A peaceful stroll through the dead centre. TFTC
graveyards are definitely spooky at night

Loved the cache container. Did this one during the daytime so not so spooky. Great that you made an effort for a good container. Thanks for the cache.
Walked to here from the waterfront, up the bank behind the motor camp. The cache was a quick find and I enjoyed the view out to the west as sunset approached. Returned the way I came. Signed log, TFTC!
Second to find it, funily enough, found the FTF when looking for the state highway 6 cache nearby!
Sppoky at night... My car radio stopped to function, then there was a strange light in the distance in the graveyard and to finish a child's voice singing (probably from the holiday park behind). Nevertheless spooky at night...
