We had an enjoyable morning finding the caches along this road, after leaving the Mega. All of the caches were found pretty easily, with some taking a little longer because our GPS was a bit unreliable. Thanks for placing these caches - it was great to have a little trail to do on our way out. TFTC!

We are finding some great caches while at the Mega.

The last day of the OzGeomuster Mega – time to pick up the last few round the area and on our way home after attending the last Cully Long’s Puzzling seminar. The view from Mt Keira was stunning. On the way home we made a few stops to pick up caches and adventure labs. Unfortunately my phone was not playing fair and I will need a return trip to do one of the labs – silver lining in that I get to visit the New Sheffield again and pick up more caches. Big thank you to StrangeTrousers for all the driving and mtrax for the great company plus all the other geobuddies new and old for a fabulous weekend.

Out adventuring with Joolay and Kittykatch on my first full day at the Mega in Wollongong. Such a diversity of caches today, with CITO’s Puzzles, Trads and even the odd Trig. Thanks everyone for the awesome day!

Day 4: A group of Westies (rustynz, harisree, Gorby, FMZ and Agazo - temporary Westie visa holder), are in Australia from NZ to attend the OZGeoMuster MEGA in Wollongong. All logs have been signed NZMEGA 2020

It is the last day, and the closing ceremony is tonight, so we are caching nearer the scout camp whilst we still have daylight

As I am logging can not remember if the geocoin was still there. I hope so?

#5265 5th for today

Day four of the Oz Geomuster Mega at Cataract (the Gong). Caching with mtrax and CBRChic and various others. We started with Cully Long's Advanced Puzzling seminar and then headed out to grab some more of the series down at the Cataract Dam. Then it was off to Mt Keira to grab the last of the Wollongong tour Adventure lab. Fantastic views at Mt Keira. Then we had to dead back to Canberra with a plan to stop off at Mittagong for lunch and the New Sheffield adventure lab which we managed to knock off pretty quickly. Our schedule allowed us to grab a few caches on the way back.

On the last day of the Mega I decided to finish off this series near the base camp.
I had done about half of these yesterday, and late this afternoon finished the balance.
Drove towards the dam and started off from that end.
Now back at the gate I picked up this monster cache.
Maybe I just didn't see it, or maybe someone didn't read the hint - there was no geocoin in the container.

Hi.
I enjoyed escaping from the camp this morning to check out the dam. I wasn't sure if I'd bother caching but after a nice walk along the dam I decided why not. So I found 14/15 caches on my way back to camp. The one I didn't get was because of a picnic there. I also added a page of waterproof paper to a couple if cages with full log books.

Night walk during the mega! Lovely evening for it, flying solo. I need to get my find count up so I can log the mega as #5,000 and this series was going to be very helpful in that regard! Last one of about as dozen for the night, cheers!

This morning was all about the numbers! Normally I’d just go for a bunch of favorited caches or ones with a bit of adventure about them, but it’s a Mega so a haul of smileys had to happen.
The plan was to do as many as I could before attending the flash mob in Wollongong at 11. I focused on as many as I could from the GeoArt as they were taking me in the right direction.

Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.

After our walk at night in the bush we decided to find this cache as it was close by. I do like the way in which it is secured to ensure it isn’t removed -wish I had done that with the ammo can I had put out. TFTC

Greetings from 1st Wendouree Scout Group.

Ju and I headed back to Cataract Park from the flash-mob and started on this series, before she had to be back on-site to sing. As a Scout and now a Scout Leader (and Ju being a Rover and now a Leader as well) it is great to find Scouting related caches.

I have attended to of the Jamborees held at Cataract Park (the 14th Australian and 16th World) and one of my daughter attended the 24th (AJ 2016 as they are now known) and had a blast (despite the bad start to the weather in 2016). I was to attend 2016 as a Leader for my third Jamboree at Cataract but life got in the way of that one - TFTC (BTW - the geocoin is not there any more)

After finding the nearby night cache and one of the jamboree traditionals, we went back to our car, which was located less than 60m from GZ. The path was well worn and we found the cache fairly quickly. Signing duties were completed and once that was done we set off for home. Thanks very much for the cache!

After a long day of caching in Canberra, I and burgo went for these traditional caches too.
Easy enough to find in the dark, there has been a lot of cachers here in the last couple of days.

With a little time to spare before the flash mob event in Wollongong, we hit the scouting trail in front of the camp with Banj Ward and the beary_unicorns, logging as Team 740 today. This was found by young Oliver, who was stoked with his ammo tin find.... TFTC!

The GeoFamily and I are off to the Gong for the OzGeoMuster. We got up at sparrow flatulence, and set off in the dark. Mrs Mister JD uses Mister JD with me, but the kids have their own ids, AM_MMJD and Su_MMJD. Dawn didn't appear before Goulburn. We ate at the dreaded Maccas, and on we went to event GZ and about 8:30, where we met our geocaching friends. Hugs, chats, milling about. Then off for a day of geocaching with our mates. Day 1, we collected four and had a great day. Today we've arranged to meet up with our mates at the flashmob event at the lighthouse. and here we all are.

One of my geocaching projects is to collect 500 "Regular" sized caches for a challenge, so, after the temple, I took off up the mountain for he regular sized caches in the Jamboree series. The GeoFamily went to the beach and the kids made new friends. I enjoyed these caches. Well placed and well hidden. Everything is in pretty good condition. Some of the camo needed replacing, which I did whenever I could. I signed for the GeoFamily as well (MMJD), and in the event repeated them all on the following day with our mates.

Day two of my Geomuster Mega weekend. After breakfast Quiz and Reviewer Talk, caught up with friends and headed out to get to the lighthouse for the Flashmob. We then went for caches on the way. Went with dghoffy to find the physical logs and signed as TTT (Trans Tasmin Team).
Unfortunately we did so many in the one day I haven’t done individual logs for all of the caches but know they were all in good condition. Thank you for putting these out, made for a fun day.

While attending the OzGeomuster Mega Event, we took some time out from catching up with many of our friends and socialising to find a cache or two.

We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
