Totally not blaiming Miss Adsventure for this one. Accidents happen. But as I don't live in the area anymore, maintenance will be too difficult. Time to let it go.
Happy caching!

What a beautiful spot.. Thank you for bringing me here. Although I unfortunately had a mishap and the cache dropped into the water. Cache owner will need to replace it as it wasn’t retrievable. Feeling very ashamed ??
What an absolutely beautiful spot. It’s like the Amazon jungle in here. Found this treasure on a hike on a Monday when it looks like I have the place to myself.

I had been at Menzies Creek for the day as the Signalman for the *Puffing Billy Railway*... and decided to take a * long way home* through the Dandenongs... and stopping for a cache... or three... on my way home.
This was my third stop... and I decided to ignore the track closure sign and easily stepped around the temporary fence. *Storm damage* was the reason given... but with no date on the sign, it's a bit hard to tell exactly which storm... at least 4 months ago based on the previous log. Anyway, whatever the damage is/was, it wasn't bad enough to impede access to the cache. Fortunately it was all dry so there was little risk of *slipping in the mud* when *going out on a limb!*
Thanks **day1967** for putting this cache here.

*Cache find # 11499.*
I think the last time I had found a plant i grade cache was the day they were published so it has been a while but today I spotted this one on the map and I was going passed it on the way to another cache so I decided to go and have a look.
I made my way along the track to the GZ area and what big area it was as the GPS was all over the place and it was hard to get a fix on where I was meant to be.
With the help of the hint I had to think logically to work out where GZ would be, eventually I found the right spot but with the perfect placement of a fern frond the cache was hidden from my sight but after I returned to the same spot for the second time I was then able to find the cache.
**Thanks to day1976 for placing this cache.**

I finally made a start on the Plantigrade multi today. I've been wanting to do this for a while but I had to wait for the opportunity to arrive. After the partner dropped me off at the start, I made my way along the trail and liked for the traditional caches along the way. I had to be a little inventive and use some natural elements to help me here. Thank goodness no-one else was here to watch! TFTC day1976

Tackling my second stage of Plantigrade (GC3TN9D) on a glorious day in the hills. The sun was peeking through the forest, the birds were singing and the creek was running thanks to late rains.
Once I put my eyes on the cache, putting my hands on it was a little trickier. The hint might apply to many but not me, I managed to stretch myself enough to grab the cache and sign the log. The log was a bit damp so I sat down for a mini picnic in the dappled sunlight & dried it out a bit.
Thanks for the cache day1976.

A quick start to a bit of Plantugrade this afternoon, with this been one of my first actual finds. Rushed in here with time pressures and searched for a good 5min. Re read the description, had an idea, checked and there you are you little sucker. Amazing spot here. Need to do this whole series. A FP from me.
Out and about on a warm afternoon trying to fill my local map with smileys . This was my second visit to this cache , the first time I went away with a DNF . This time was different , otted the cache easily after arriving at GZ . Cache is in good nick . Thanks day1976.
Out for a walk with Fitzelfleas (who grabbed this one years ago) and geochild asleep in the pusher. The gps was hot and cold on this one (lots of trees) and with the help of the title, hint and some geosense, it was spotted. TFTC
After a bit of sloshing around in the mud and almost a swim in the creek and lots of laughs the cache was found. Thanks Day 1976 for placing the cache
Been searched for 20mins and almost gave up so I find it one more time. Finally found it. Thanks day1976 for placing this cache
Looked for this one before with no luck. Nearly gave up again but the something caught my eye. Bit of a reach but finally got to sign this log.
TFTC day76. Found yesterday. Nicely placed and in good shape, although the hint can be a bit misleading, depending on whether you’re a modern AFL ruckman or an old fashioned rover. I’m more the latter...Jimmytherat
I came with the cache owner to replace this cache, but obviously didnt log it, so here I am 6 months later. I went back to check the date on it, and nearly slipped in the mud on the creek edge!
Spent ages trying to find this one and even went back another time. A hint from a previous finder would assure me I was looking in the correct spot but its not there.
Came down from Sassafras today on a trail run to collect the start of the plantigrade multi. GPS was quite jumpy today but thought I had the right GZ. Spent a good 15min searching but had to get back up the mountain by a certain time so had to let this one get the better of me. Unfortunately nothing matching the description in others logs, but a nice spot by the creek nonetheless. TFTC
Searched at length where my GPS was pointing , but all I could find was a Trinket hanging in a tree. Will have to come again. Some nice walking tracks in this area.
Well, this was a nice little diversion in my attempt to do the multi that seemingly is the main driver of people that go out and find this and the series of caches. I am rather sorry in my late and undetailed logs on these trads but I over all I really loved the walk along to work on the plantigrade multi, it will be one of those caches that I remember forever in my caching journey and this find was nd always be a part of this memory. Thanks for the cache and the legendary walk.
I morning of park and grabs . My first one. Definitely not where the hint said but I found it and returned to sane location. Pic available. Log wet
What a beautiful location! If this is what the plantigrade caches are like then it is probably time for me to block out some decent time to do do this series. TFTC a fave from me for the beauty!
Geomissus didn't want to bush bash so sat in the car while I ventured in. Hardly a bush bash! The path led straight to the cache. Unfortunately the log was wet (maybe accidentally dropped last time?), but I managed to find a dry part and I think everything will come good. I tightened up the container and should be right.
Thanks day1976 for placing a cache in this pretty little area.
Thanks day1976 for placing a cache in this pretty little area.
The rocks in the creek are slippery! Then the double whammy... I didn’t need to get wet to find it. Lots of laughs by geohusband and I as I ended up wet up to the knees.
The man who laid this cache was not thinking about the 5"2 ladies in the world. Lucky I have great stretch. Haha if I was 5"1 I think I would be in trouble. Thanks heaps
I am loving this walk

I lost my way on the approach to this as it was hard to see where the trail continued with the fallen trees, once I figured that out I took the turn off to this cache and I spotted it almost immediately. That doesn't happen very often for me! Nice spot here, thank you
Back again this afternoon to try my luck at this cache that we had previously looked for but came up empty handed. l had some troubles locking in on it with my gps but fortunately spotted the little blighter after 4 or 5 minutes. Thanks day1976 for the hide.
Found yesterday on the start of my journey all in good condition nice and quick for me the creek was running beautifully as well. Tftc as always
Very cold and damp under the trees, tried to find it but got far too cold after looking for 10 minutes. Will try another day.
Out on a thirty plus day and looking for some cooler spots. This little trail was ideal and took me down, under the trees, to the creek where luckily, I spotted this little one fairly quickly, Thanks Day
Found it! A bit tricky and some lovely crystals left by someone else sent us on the wrong tangent for a while. Beautiful spot, TFTC

Found after a bit of a search. I only had my phone on me which did not help much under the trees. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Wanted to pick up one nearby whilst there was no-one around so seeing as this was back in the game, picked it up as well. Thanks for bringing us to this great trail and thanks for the cache.
Attempted to replace the cache today. Turns out the wild weather over the xmas period has brought some trees down and the track is closed. Wasn't wearing the best attire to battle fallen trees with so I will add this to the list of work that needs to be done when I do a maintenance run on the Plantigrade multi-cache on the 22nd of January.
I will try and get out and check on my local hides in the next three weeks, but given this is the busy time of the year for my business, it may be difficult. Will keep you posted.
Looked at all likely spots I could find. Enjoyed the Lyrebird's practice concert and gave up. Lovely spot, as the Lyrebird can avouch for.
4:35 PM
Four sets of eyes today and even a couple of muggles stopped by to help us out.
No luck for us here today.
Will keep watch on this.

No good for us today, 4 pairs of eyes searching with no success. There might be a reason this one is heading into the unloved zone.
Been along time since the last find for this hide but wanted to give it a go but no luck and I have other caches to go and attempt... Will keep a watch on this hide...
Out for a mid week stomp picking up a few cache in the area put a few more smiley faces out there. Thanks for getting me out the house. Tftc log is too wet to sign.
Out and about with the geowife on a hunt in this nice weather before we head out to the cookoo for dinner tftc. Needs waterpoof log it's wet as

Took awhile iphone off by 9m gps off by the same, log was soaked and tube full of water. Put another log in and tightly resealed tube. This one was challenging and way higher than head height. I am 175cm tall
This was the second of two caches that I had had a DNF on 10 months ago. I had shamelessly scanned the cache page for clues and found a couple that were of use. I got to GZ and went right to the cache although that was also with a bit of luck!
I have to say that someone is awfully tall!

Find #1356 logged at GZ at 10:37, will update shortly.... T4TC day1976!

I remember this cache because it was the only Plantigrade I walked right up to. How silly was I? I took a bit of a break here. The sun was out and it was warming up quickly. I carried my first two leeches for the day.
Thanks, Day!

Found it!!
however the path to gz is currently blocked off, did a little sneaky sneak around the barrier, think it was done awhile ago due the wet weather.
log book was damp but not dripping.

Replaced log, both logs were soaked so there may be an issue with the container, or previous finders may not be replacing the lid properly. Whichever, the cache is ready to be found again.
Found this after collecting a few waypoints of the plantigrade multi - we're taking our time; walking short sections with the kids. This cache is in a beautiful location and the kids were happy to play around the creek while we found another piece of paper to add to the tube as the current log is now a solid pulpy mess.
Hi. Found this today but can no longer write in log as completely sodden. Added another piece of paper but not sure how long this will last. Gorgeous location btw!
Found at 1.20pm GAFF3. Got near to GZ and the track down to the creek was blocked off due to storm damage. Had a look down the track, but could not see anything worse than what cachers have seen or done, so I proceeded. Then the GPSr indicated that I had to cross the creek - so I did That turned out to be a waste of time as I could not see anything there, so back I go and at a relatively simple location I spotted the cache.
Now it is a complete mystery as to how the log sheet is a complete mess. It looks like a good bison tube and there is an 'o' ring, but obviously it leaks!
Thanks for the cache.

Enjoy walk along the plantigrade series track.

Thought about what to look for and standing at GZ I noticed Spiffy- was standing literally right under it that's why he couldn't see it. Log book soggy. TFTC
After my brother cancelled the dirt bike riding in the Bunyip state forest today because he was sick I headed out and accompanied my caching buddy TurnerFamilyFTG to start on the massive Plantigrade hiking cache. It was a perfect autumn weather day, couldn't have asked for better.
After wandering off the main trail my GPS settled in a great location matching the hint and I started searching and TurnerFamilyFTG was searching nearby. After a couple of minutes he wandered over and I was basically right on it and so close that it was out of my field of view. Log was pretty moist but the seal on the cache looked pretty good??
Just realised this was my 1600th find as well.
Thanks day1976 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

I spent quite some time at this one, my first Plantigrade cache, to no avail. I tried all sorts of things - invoking the Russian satellites, reading logs, reading the description and hint, looking from all angles. A PAF wouldn't work - I was out of reception. But without a more specific hint the search still covered several hundred square metres. Yes - that is correct - even a 10 metre radius will give you 314 square metres! And in this vegetation the GPS was all over the place!
This cache combines three of my least-liked cache hide types, but at least I gave it a good go. I gave up after more than 20 minutes - I know when I am beaten!

I found this cache today at 9:50am as cache 1 of 12 in company of GJMMelb, After starting the Plantigrade series almost an hour ago, we finally got to a cache that we 'could' log. Enjoying the series so far. It is the perfect day for doing something like this. Thanks from D B-A.
Being a nice day Rabbitto and I decided to do as much of the Plantigrade multi and trads as possible. Weather was perfect - warm but not hot. The track was dry with little mud around. We walked to the first WP and then went back to the car and drove to this cache, parking nearby. Rabbitto made the find after a short search. Thanks day1976

Lovely place thanks for taking me here. The iPhone told me I was 9 meters away when I was holding this one. Still findable when clue is used.
Mr TiedyeSmileys had the camera ready as Mrs TiedyeSmileys crossed back over the creek from her unsuccessful hunt but she didn't oblige with a splash. She did end up finding the cache though.

Back today to complete the epic Plantigrade series of caches. Three weeks earlier we had gotten as far Cockatoo and today was another massive walk of about 30km to see this series completed. A good solid day and with me on the trail was Ahomburg. Weather conditions much improved with ideal conditions.
Started the Plantigrade series at "The old cottage Garden" cache and therefore had not done this one until now. Once at GZ it took a few moments to finally spot the cache, WOW! These get me each time. Thanks for bringing me here today.

The first trad for the day on an attempt at the multicache Plantigrade with Danozz. We soon found the little Christmas decoration and continued on our way. Thanks day1976 for the cache.
Oops, being a bit slack with my logging. I found this one a bit more than a week ago. Can't remember the exact date, but 19th is close enough. Lovely walk along the trails. Lots of birds around, lots of lovely ferns. Spotted what was either a Brassian thrush or a song thrush - couldn't get close enough to see. I know they're not really uncommon, but I don't see them often, so that was a lovely surprise. TFTC!

Streak: 66 days
Not feelint too well this fine saturday morning, but I wanted to keep my streak going, so decided to head out for a bit of a walk to clear the head. I began with the multi starting in sassafras, collecting the frist four wayopints, then heading to this one where a quick find was made and the streak continues. All up, I walked about 5Km. I will be back for more later.

My good mate trailruning was on Holidays so we took the opportunity to grab a few in the Dandenongs, it was a rather wet day compared with the nice day we had before, we made progress on the Plantigrade series, micros in the bush with poor gps signal under the tree cover can be a real challenge, but we got them found.
I thought this was going to be hard to find but it just popped up in front of me when I approached it from slightly down stream as the leaves were hiding it from view during my first approach. Stopped to take in the ambiance and eat a muesli bar.
The Rebel an I arrived here and started our search, after a little work I spied the micro in a place Eric had looked. Our first micro of many today. Thanks.
Found it! A quick find once at GZ. Needed a cache for the 31 days of August quest so this one was closest to home today. TFTC hope to do the whole walk when the weather improves. I have done the walk a couple of times and picked some older cache hidden along this route. SL about 3rd to find I think
