Out for a day of caching with daughter, SSSonya, and my wife for a "trip down memory lane", really wanted to find this one, but like everyone else, was not to be. Even brought along special geocache "tool" for fishing in horrible hides (old BBQ tongs), but not a bean
Enjoyed climbing up the wall and looking at the trees - but alas, it looks like this cache is gone. Hiding spot (we think) was totally filled with water, no cache to be seen. Looks like cache owner isn't active (one hide, one find, last visit 6-sept 2013!) - maybe this needs to be archived to free up the park ...unless someone else wants to replace/maintain it??
As noted in my log, cache owner appears inactive (only one geocache find, last online visit sept 2013), cache appears to have been muggled. Maybe a previous finder could confirm that it has gone?
Not much luck with looking for caches in trees today! And finally it was a tree I could climb too >~
Confirmed did not find... see previous note but fortunately did not put my hand in water filled hole
This was my final target for the day.
I know the park well, having attended the school next door.
In fact, I remember a few students got expelled after being caught growing marijuana very close to GZ - it was a steep slope then, and there was no retaining wall. 'Twas a council gardener who spotted them if I remember correctly.
Anyway, did some climbing and putting fingers in water filled holes, but unfortunately the cache didn't turn up.
I'm wondering if P.Q.R.S's recent found log was made a while ago & logged late, or accidentally on the wrong cache. As like the three recent DNF's I couldn't put my hand on it.

Couldn't find! It was obvious where it should be. And i checked surrounding trees. So i think it's gone!
After searching several possible spots, still not finding the cache.
Maybe its already gone.
Will be back soon.

Couldn't see it despite using the hint and looking at past photos. I'm pretty sure we looked in the right place. Is it still there?
Finally! I've tried this one a couple of times but there are always people around. The hiding spot is pretty wet with the recent rain
It seems to be customary to bark under several wrong trees before returning to the first one to find the prize. We followed the pattern. TFTC
It is not regular size should be small instead of regular. signed the log with sevabo. thanks★☆★☆★
Great day out for caching - enjoyed this area with Everlasting. Thanks for the caches around here
Dropped in on the way to work, have been here before for a multi that was muggled twice and thus didn't complete. Happy to have a smiley from this beautiful park now. Climbed up to the required elevation, hmm, eventually had CIH. Yep, repeating others for a water proof container might be a better option. TFTC
Not too much climbing thankfully
I've restocked the leaf camo but log needs replacing as very wet

Walked here on Easter Monday with the geodog. Gorgeous park. When I read the hint I was all "oh no, I'm too old to climb trees!!!" but fortunately it wasn't necessary at all. You might want to do some maintenance as the book was soaked even after your care. Also your box still has your kids names on it. Not sure if deliberate so thought I'd mention. Thanks for the lovely walk and cache.
One of rare occasions on which I drove to work meant I could scout around in the afternoon for a few hides that were within my 10km radius from home. All of them were between 9 and 10 kms so have been left for quite a while.
Cache #4 of 4. I went up the first tree. Then down. Then up the second tree, and down again. I then read that I was following a well worn pattern of geocachers - I returned to the first tree and found the cache. Lots of ants and completely soaked log. Scrawled on a piece of paper and replaced.

This was the cache of the day to cross off a date and was right next door watching son play rugby.
Made a nice quick find before heading off to have a few cold ones with a mate.

Soggy! Dried off, wrapped contents in plastic bag, put some tape around the seal of the container and put some sticks in hole to keep it above water level. Hope this works! Put some trinkets in. Watch out for flying footballs if you visit on Saturday!
Was on my way to a gathering close by and this cache was on the way. I carried a climbing instrument but found it was unnecessary in the end. This cache is swimming in water and needs some tender loving care. The log is soaking wet as the hiding spot forms a swimming pool during heavy rain. I rescued the two TB's and they will be taken to the blue mountains for a dryer home. If they stayed here they would of been ruined fairly quickly. I signed the log the best I could considering it was soaked. TFTC.
The log book is soaking wet and will get mouldy soon if left unattended. The hiding spot needs to be reconsidered as it forms a pool of water every time it rains. The log book needs to be taken home and left to dry. The cache is currently floating in it.
Several months into our sons two year trip to Australia he has finally dropped off our two travel bugs,we look forward to reading the logs post a photo when possible
Not a bad effort for a first cache! The hidey hole is full of water but the cache itself was pretty dry. Stopped in after replacing one of my locals and grabbed the 2 koala TBs to move on. This one is definitely a "small" cache by the way so you might want to update the listing. A regular should be at least lunchbox size, though it is still nice to find a non-micro that can fit a TB or two... except I left mine at home
Cheers!
Cheers!

Nice little walk to this cache! first I was confused, where to search, but finally I found the little treasure, guarded by ants
I thought: one Koala is lonely, so now there are two Koalas (indeed 3!) together in the cache
#8 in Australia

Friday after-work geocaching walks are getting to be a regular event for us. Uh-oh! Didn't realise we're in for a climb till we got here and read the cache notes. So up Mrs Gaztek went. She seems to be getting all the climbing duties lately. But found nothing. Nice to have the wall there though. Down she got with a hand on fire. Must have touched something icky.
Checked a few other trees out but we had to be right in the first place. Mr G went up this timed was there for just a short time until he started jumping around. Ants , thousands of them, all up his shoe and ankles! Down again. And the we just looked at where it was. Geez, we made that harder than it had to be! T pooh bear TB L koala TB fair trade! SL TFTC Cheeers... Gaztek

10/03/14. 1:20 PM. Cache #1399. Time for another lunchtime cache via a train from Summer Hill. The students at Trinity were out at lunch and practicing their war cries. Sounded awesome! As I approached the cache I read the description and my face fell. I hadn't factored on a tree climb in office clothes! Nor do I want to be climbing trees near a school while the students are all out - that'd look suss! Thankfully the bell rang, so I climbed the tree at GZ. The wall helped heaps, but no sighting of a cache when I was up there. Tried another tree - again nothing.
Looked at past logs and spoiler photo confirmed the first tree. Back up it, with a wider search. Aha! Took it down to sign and discover the TB (left it in there). Replaced it with my feet still on the ground. The hiding spot is full of water but the cache kept the contents dry. TFTC }:)

Found at 5:22pm. I actually parked outside the school thinking it was in the grounds. I even made my way well onto the field until I realised it was on the other side of the fence. Luckily, I didn't have any trouble with muggle children along the way. Made my way around the corner and walked over to begin my search. I initially climbed the tree and had a good look around but could not make out any possible hiding spots. I widened my search to the tree nearest by but figured it must be at the one I was at. From there I quickly had CIH.

My very first geocache!!!!!!! Was not covered and is in a very wet place. Water leaks into container but log book protected and dry.
Looked in the wrong place to start, can see what you mean ozjeeper. Don't get dirty hands, it's a clean cache
TB left in place.
TB left in place.
We hunted low and we hunted high and we found a likely spot but there was no container to be seen.
Found, but cache is very wet. I have taken it to dry out for a bit. Will return on Christmas day.

Just looking at my GZ map and realised I forgot to log this find back at beginning of Nov. Thanks.
Nice to get more exercise in retrieving this cache, before realizing I needn't have exerted myself so much! Cute hiding place!
At a party nearby and thought I would visit the cache to drop off a TB. Probably should have read the description as a cocktail dress and stocking wasn't the best attire for this cache. TFTC.
Beautiful day, admired the bandstand. Looked in wrong spot first but eventually found the cache. Took travel bug, will take to Singapore next week.
TFTC. A good clever one to amuse the Geokids during a park visit. Beware the ants.
First find of the day, and it took 2 attempts to get to the right spot! Examined a natural spot on the tree for the hide...too obvious! We eventually found the cache by climbing something..!
SL&R. Great first hide, aaoze! TFTC!

What a cool park. Was disappointed when the last cache went missing. Glad there is one now. The post it notes will probably separate and be scattered. Maybe a bulldog clip will work. Tftc
This was a nice easy one...however the log and container are very wet, CO may want to consider a waterproof container. Cheers for my first FTF! This is also the closest cache to my house. [:o)]
