fitzy_1965 and I headed to the Lake Illawarra area to do some caching with friends for the Canberra long weekend. We signed our group as SHI (ShellHarbour Invasion) which consisted of Kittykatch, Joolay, contesta, ispoeda, Tankengine, dty73, fitzy_1965 and myself or if most had already found we signed our own names. It was a great few days away and lots of caches found. Thanks to the CO's for placement.
Chooo ooo [Found] on a quick trip down to Shell Harbour with dty73! Found with a bunch of other Canberra and local cachers! Signed SHI (Shell Harbour Invaders)Thanks Cougerz!
Cache is a total mess. Replaced container Looking forward to a warmer weekend enjoying the lovely Wollongong area with Kittykatch, contesta, ispoeda, Tankengine, dty73, fitzy_1965 and minniek. Signing Thanks for getting me out and about Cougerz
Tankengine and I drove down from Canberra leaving at 6:30am Saturday morning and joined our friends (Kittykatch, Joolay, contesta, Isopeada, minniek and fitzy_1965) and we had become part of the Shellharbour Invasion Team (SHI). We could only stay one night, so up early Sunday for a quick bite to eat and more caching before we had to leave everyone to head home again. We had a fun time caching, logging many finds and a couple DNFs, enjoyed a lovely dinner at the very busy club at the great event on Saturday night and most of all hanging out with great friends. This cache: That was a horrible cache. No magnet just a bag. Replaced the container for a better than a plastic bag. Contesta had a nice new container and log. Tftc!!!
Find # 1219925/5/2024 16:19Caching adventures continue and trying to tick off as many on the solved pile as I can. Headed across to the coast for the long weekend to meet up with a few other CBR cachers. The main target is the SES series, having worked on these puzzles last year and gradually made the solves. Some with help and others straightforward. Either way it was an enjoyable series, generally. Now its time to collect. And of course with so many others to choose from in this area, its a busy weekend.Always shenanigans in a group as you never quite know what might happen but its guaranteed to be fun! The group consists of Joolay, KittyKatch, isopeda, minniek, fitzy_65, dty73, and Tankengine. Signing as SHIAll caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced.Complete container and log replacement. Thanks Cougerz for LIPT No 37 - Ride Along
Long weekend with Contesta, Kittykatch, Joolay, DTY73, Tankengine, fitzy_1965, and MinnieK with the main goal to finish the SES series. Signing as SHI - Shellharbour Invasion. We found a very old and open ziplock bag. The contents was mush and rusty. We removed the slugs (2 different species) and stuffed the sealed bag into an new cache container. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Good start to 2024 with a quick walk to get a few caches! This was the easiest of the afternoon . The cache is just in a zip-lock bag and has lots of water damage.
Not magnetic.. definitely needs some TLC- lost our pencil so will have to write on the log another day. Tftc
#10035 (8 of 11 today)Go big or go home! So went big! Today is the only calendar day where I have under 20 finds, so looking to break this barrier. But why get one when I can get... well a lot more.Headed south to Dapto for today's finds, but looking to be back in Sydney for a 5:30 event I couldn't totally go to town. So started with a short bush trek, and then some other quicker finds for a total of ten, before the event made it eleven.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###I've had my issues with the *Lake Illawarra Power Trail* having as many DNFs as finds. But this set of three ls close together, and my time is starting to get short. Ah well, might as well give it a whirl.Started here and a little poking around got the prize. Placement was obvious, but which one? Only a ziplock bag - this one needs some TLC.Signed, replaced and away.SLTNLNTFTC
#7077- Out caching with thomo31 while down from the mountains. This one definitely needs some TLC. Only a plastic bag, no container and very wet. Thanks
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area.
No container, just a wet plastic bag with a log sheet.
Signed paper, and returned as found. TFTC

Easy to find. Definitely not magnetic. Needs new container. Swapped a toy.
I agree with others, difficult with the long grass but a beautiful day to be caching

A day out with Everest High to do a loop around Lake Illaware to find the SES caches from The Rats. When close to our route, we also picked up a few other caches.
It was a great day out; very hot but the cold seabreeze made the drive very pleasant.
This logsheet was too wet to be signed.

Searched with the kids could not find this one. We went along the fence searched up the signs nothing.
Hard find the grass was overgrown and it was pouring rain but it was extremely exciting to find!
I've walked past this so many times and never seen it before, but once I was looking for it I was surprised to find something I never knew was there
Found it! Looked like a spider had made it it’s home also. Daughter wasn’t impressed when it fell onto her leg.
This was guarded by a huge ugly scary spider! Found it but didn't open due to our spider mate.
Found it someone's put a temporary fix on it as it's broken but great hiding spot tftc
Good walk with the dog and sister!! Cache got a little soggy at some point, might need a new container...
I parked near here and walked to the Test Tube 2 cache collecting all along the way. This needs a new container. It is sitting out in the open, albeit 'hidden' in its intended location. TFTC
In the Illawarra to visit Mr Gaztek's mother and gathering a few geocaches before we return to Sydney. We originally visited this cache on 25 January 2015 and logged a DNF when the container wasn't there. We found it today but the container is in very bad shape. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
A kind geocacher has placed the bottom half of the container in a plastic bag along with the perished parts of the container top. The weather is likely to get to the contents before long. Cheers... Gaztek
Loved walking in this area this morning. What a great pathway. Found the cache was laying in the grass. Reassembled as best we could and put it where we thought it went.
