Disabling Wall-E as the area is undergoing some adjustments. I will see what happens to the land before reactivating.
Out grabbing some caches in the nearby area. This one needs maintenance. Unable to sign log due to it being wet and damaged. Might be worth having a think of adding another layer of protection for this one.#787
Could not find it looked near some logs. Saw a bang pipe next to a log. Pls help me if I was close
Found this cache! Log book is totally saturated so I couldnt sign it. We have had loads of rain recently
I assume muggles have found this one and emptied the contents onto the ground. Logbook is wet, but I managed to sign it. TFTC
After a fair bit of planning yesterday I had an objective of completing the 25 different DT challenge in the Tinchi Tamba wetlands.I marked out my route which was probably going to make me more of a Leyland brother than Id ever hoped to be but I thought I could squeeze it in.Unfortunately at the second of my planned caches for the day I pulled out to take off and collected a concrete block that wasnt in view. Bang, front skirt scratched and big puncture in the side wall of my tyre. There goes the time I needed to reach the goal.Any way I stayed the course and gave it a shot and came up short by about 5 caches. Dan that punctured tyre.Anyone this cache was found safe and well. A signature was applied to the log and returned safely to its hiding place.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this ache available to be found bet fellow cachers.Cheers
We found it but it was scattered everywhere. Cute little lake with blue boat near bye. Tftc
Loved the cache bit of a bush whack. I joked to Dad on the way that it would be funny if it made a particular reference. Sure enough spot on.
I was in the area today so I thought I would come and see how the bat colony was going. As I walked in, it was eerily quiet and I realised that they had all gone. Every single one of them. There were thousands of screeching bats last time I was here but absolutely none today. The entire colony has moved on.
This, of course, made it much easier to reach the GZ, and I quickly found the cache. There were a few Coles toys in it, but no log. I had a bag and some paper on me so I have added a log to the cache. It really needs a proper container, though.

At first I tried to access the cache from the north but it seems council have erected a fence to protect the flying fox colony. Then I found the mown track on the eastern side but when I was still 100m away from the cache I was walking under 1000s of roosting flying foxes and I was too uncomfortable to continue. Maybe it would be safer to search for this at night when the flying foxes are not roosting here.
The council is no longer mowing far enough for me to get the last 24 metres. As for re-vegetating, all I could see was acres if Singapore daisy and lantana. Need a bush care group in here!
The bats weren’t too happy about me being here but I made a quick find. Thanks for the cache

Out with RoddyC, hatzofff, Imbunda, echocage1 & grannysmith1947 picking up a few caches in the local district.
Arrived just as the bats landed around GZ, quick find then a fast exit for us today. Thanks CO for the beaut camo & hide.

A caching day with RoddyC, Hatsoff, Snickersallan, GrannySmith1947 and Echocage1 and this was one of the many finds and was an easy one to find. Log signed and cache replaced as found. The bats were everywhere. TFTC
Found it with the owner. Hide is there. Cache was MIA but a moveable GCA Gnome was there, has been sitting here pretending to be the geocache for YEARS!! Had a great wander with Daisy!
I ventured out this way to find the nearby Indy Jones multi which I did successfully. Found 9 caches while here including this one in this lovely piece of bushland. Loved the cache. The hint wasn't wrong . A fp for the unusual cache. Tftc
We enjoyed the walk to this cache until we came close to GZ and at this point the plants have decided to overgrow the area. We pushed on and soon found the cache. SL TFTC
One of my goals for 2021 is to find more caches in Ipswich, set out this morning to grab a few.
The last few meter were the hardest

what a lovely day to get out for a walk. Found this one with Cacheoar. TFTC
Upon reading previous logs I almost gave this cache a wide birth... glad I didn’t... other than a mouthful of spiders web... will teach me to keep my mouth closed... I had no issue here... bats? Nope...

We read a couple of logs and went hmm bats, hmm lantana, hmm do we, yes we do and after a bit of a bush bash we were there and an easy find was made. TFTC
Out caching around the western suburbs of Brisbane - not an area where I have many finds. We had a very productive day finding nearly all the caches we had set down on the list.
No bats today and we detoured around the lantana to find a cute little fellow hiding. Thanks misssusan79.

We didn't have the problem that Patrol14 had on their visit. We were able to find a bit of a trail in towards the right hand side of the end of the walk in and didn't find any lantana. We came out the same way. It led us straight to the cache and all was good. He's a happy man.
We were able to get some unloved time on this one with JooJoo57 and DiamonJs. Thanks misssusan79 for the cache.
Cheers and happy caching!

Wow! I went right to find an easier path but ended up on hands and knees climbing through Lantana, asparagus, palms and vines. Wish I hadn't taken my long-sleeved shirt off! Sighted the clue from about 5 metres and saw the remains of a geotrail further on. Bugger. Forgot to take the pen out of the flanny! Hey! Mrs patrol 14. Bring a pen through this Lantana! OK?
Difficulty is now a 3.5!
Got the little bugger and that's what counts!

Attempted to find this one but aborted as we we're all dressed up for the pacific cruise , (just basically wasting time.) The inhabitants overhead were huge and noisy. Didn't want any unwanted droppings in our outfit .
Anyhow, we couldn't get any decent trail 18m towards the gz. So close! But too many lantana!
TFTC misssusan79. Might bring some 'bulldozer' next trip

Mrs RoddyC out with Echocage1 with the plan to catchup with Mr RoddyC. Bit noisy down here. Log signed and replaced again. Found at 12.25pm on 7.10.2017. TFTC.
Out with Mrs RoddyC sampling some of the caches out this way today. Luckily we read a few previous logs on this cache BEFORE we plunged straight into the jungle and we instead found ourselves a lovely wide clear path to stroll along. That petered out about 25 metres from GZ where the bat colony began and then the bush bashing started. We took one option and of course it was the wrong one so I retreated to the other jungle geotrail while Mrs RoddyC went cross country. I found the cache but not Mrs RoddyC. I called out Marco and eventually Polo and Mrs RoddyC joined me to sign the log and take happy snaps. I had dropped my only decent pair of sunnies on the way in but luckily found them with my eyes just one step before my next footstep would have so I was pretty happy about that. We returned to the car and then I found a tick on my trousers and I wasn't so happy then. I bagged him for the tick study but then we got out of the car to do a thorough check on ourselves. Mrs RoddyC also had one on her and we found another one on me. Three ticks will be winging their way to Sydney and that will be 3 less to trouble geocachers! TFTC
While the majority of the path was freshly mown, we came up short trying to get into position from a few angles as the area is quite overgrown. Left for another more adventurous visitor.
Fabulous camouflaged container, although very hidden and overgrown path.

A day of caching was planned, with Team Benders, to pick up caches that neither of us had found.
All caches found today by us were joint finds with Judy of Team Benders.
Our target for today was 30 caches but any number will do really.
(2 of 33 found for VC)
Parked the Geo-Beast & headed in toward GZ.
The track was fairly clear until the last 20 metres or so when it turned into jungle.
1000's of frantic fruit flying foxes took to the air despite our best efforts not to disturb them.
They settled again quickly so we pushed on.
After spending about 10 minutes chasing ever changing co-ords & being led a merry dance by the compass we were just about to call it quits when something was spotted through the dense undergrowth.
The cache was lying almost upside down & there was water inside due to the hole in the lid letting it in.
Made our marks, on this & the GA Gnome cache, & replaced as found.
The log is quite wet & needs attention.

Headed out with Vegan Cachers for a day of caching in nearby Ipswich and surrounds.
Headed to GZ and it took quite a while to find this cache as we were tooing and froing in the little bit of jungle at the end.
Thousands of flying foxes inhabit this area and their cute little faces were looking down at us wondering who on earth is waking them up at this hour as they were trying to sleep.
Finally found the cache and it was a bit wet from the rain.
Signed the log and returned to where we found it.
Where the log lives needs to be a sealed area to keep it dry and the feature needs to be separate but it did remind me of the movie.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks misssusan79 All good with this cache just a little TLC needed

Gave this one another go today. Success! The path in from Ishmael Rd has been cleared, so it's an easy walk in now. No more crawling through thorny vines!
Found the cache partially buried under fallen debris. Container isn't watertight, so I bagged the logbook.
Wall-E had a little gnome friend with him from Geocaching Australia.

No bats when I arrived this morning. Started moving in at 11am. Heaps of fallen branches and bark from the bats. Searched for a good 20m radius around GZ but no find for me
Fresh log. Came by here at 3pm on an overcast day and there were nats flying everywhere! Slightly terrifying!
Wow this one took some effort. Found track in via Ishmael St and approached GZ after a short walk.
GPS was pointing right in the middle of big lantana bush but I noticed a geotrail and went looking. In the thick scrub GPS was now all over the place so spent a good 20mins battling through all manner of thorny bush and spider webs. I eventually decided to give up and as I was exiting the bush something caught the corner of my eye and sure enough with much satisfaction found the cache.
Log book soaked through so could not sign.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:04pm. The log is soaking wet as the water is getting through the lid, I think. It needs replacement. TFTC
Today we explored Ipswich and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Enjoyed the walk in and watching all the bats hanging at their post. When I approached they squealed in their bat voice and fle to a higher lair. Found the hidy hole covered by its folage and adding to our favourites. Log was very wet.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

TFTC. #421. It took me a little to find the way in as I originally tried to follow the creek but eventually found the track in from Ishmael. A few mozzies around but not too bad.
Loved the container - it was a perfect fit!

I was in the area, and needed a cache for the day. I had a muggle friend with me and convinced her the short walk would be cool - we disturbed hundreds of bats which was quite a sight. The recent rain has meant growth in bushland everywhere, but with a quick bit of bush bashing the cache was soon located. The log is wet but easily signable. tftc.
Found with GoeSon. Bats gave us a shock at first. Never expected them to all fly about. Glad they weren't the vampire sort. LoL!
A very creative cache! A quick find in lovely bushland. Thanks for the cache misssusan79!
After looking for another access point it was back to the best spot. Parked up and set off down the path.
Arrived at GZ and started the search. Can't believe I didn't pick up on the hint. Cache located, log signed.

At last I had time to kick Wall-E. He would be overjoyed to see the Axiom arrive with all this vegetation about. 113, over and out.
Am new to caching and was itching to find this bad boy as I work near by. Had a shoe in once I checked the hint haha Parked at entry to trail and enjoyed the walk to GZ. Was a glorious day and loved listening to all the different birds as I took in the beauty of the flora. TFTC!
After the last stop I was up for a little bit more of a walk and this one was really the next on the map for me. Although I did also attempt to have a look at the possible option of access from the nearby street, but that was definitely out of the question, with that fence.
So I parked at the head of the trail and well 300m (i think from memory) was not a bad little walk so off I headed. I thought about what I may come across as the cache, as I wandered down, thinking back to the movie, and it is one of the my most favourite animated movies. Alas I was not really considering the option of what the final container turned out to be.
It did not take to long to find, however it is honestly only now that I have actually remembered the connection to the movie. I now can totally see the connection I got my name in the log book and soon enough had things back in place for the wander back to the car.

After a nearby chiropractor appointment I decided to finally do this cache. Parked near the path in thanks to advice of previous logs. Lovely walk in. Loved the cache! Very well made! My kids will be annoyed I did this one without them! Dropped a Wall-E swap in that I have been saving for this one. Dropped off TB. TFTC Misssusan! A favourite from me!
I was in the area this morning and happened to drive down the right road to find the path in from the East just south of Hallelujah place, or whatever it was called.
What a sensational walk in during a sunny morning! Birds galore and fantastic vegetation. It was almost a shame to reach the end of the path. After a little wandering here and there, the cache popped up, and that's a very nice construction indeed you've got there. Thumbs up and a favourite for me.

While on the way home from work today I stopped for this one. A nice quick find and I loved the container. The flying fox's where in fine form making a lot of noise. TFTC.
Out and about today for a couple of hours before it gets too hot on a sunny summers day.
I parked the car park after finding the entrance to the park.
A straight walk to GZ but the trees had me over here, then over there, then over this way, eventually I found it back where I started.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with stairman1 and geodog. Another enjoyable walk and a great container. I couldn't see it until stairman1 had it in his hand. Cache blindness maybe . The flies were bad here and were annoying geodog. We signed the log then headed home. Geodog was glad to get out of there. Thanks misssusan79.
Found this cache whilst out for the day with Whint & Bad Dal. We were down a muskteteer but had a great time without him anyway It was quite a warm day, even for December and we were probably a little foolish to be attempting caches in these hotter suburbs, but a bit of sun never killed anyone... right?
I think the hardest part of this cache was finding an access point! I had no idea what Whint and I were doing which seemed to make hunting for that elusive track so hard but we eventually spotted a trail and were quickly out of the car and on our way.
We fought the spider webs as we walked along the rarely used track and were soon standing at the dense bush looking for a way in. We spotted a track but tried out a closer to GZ track. Nope.. ok head back over there between those bushes. The sounds the crickets were making was deafening but we managed to whack our way through the lantana and up to GZ.
Whint made the find as I was distracted and a few metres away exploring the area, forgetting completely about the cache and instead taking in the pretty clearing. The log was signed and the cache replaced before we headed back to the car and off for the next one. Thanks for the cache Misssusan79
