Cache owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache.

I am archiving the listing as it would seem to have been abandoned by the CO. Should the owner decide to maintain the cache in the near future (next 30 days), just contact a reviewer (by email and include GC number in Subject), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, they will be happy to unarchive it.

Reperio at 2055.

Day 2 of my tour across Victoria in the lead up to the Surf Coast event in Anglesea, and having spent the majority of the day completing the Lake Eildon Geotour, I made way to Werribee tonight. Along the way I spotted a few interesting caches, and so with some time up my sleeve, I made a detour in the hope to find them. I arrived at this one after dark, but in the moonlight I could see where and what I needed to climb. I made the climb up only to find a few spiders lurking around, and clambered all around the structure...side to side...up and down...but no cache to be found. I contacted a previous finder who at least gave me some insight into what the container was, and so I went back up and down convinced it definitely wasn't there. I was almost ready to give it up when a thorough search through the long grass below finally revealed the cache container. Opened up the container to find the log was pulp, and so I went back to the car to get some replacement paper, and placed the cache back up on it's lofty perch. It is only now that I'm logging this one I can see that the cache has been archived, which is a shame. Still, I enjoyed the uniqueness of this cache. Great fun.

Swung by here during a road trip to Albury with the Pacman. After arriving here we noticed the cache on the ground....full wet log. Hmm.

Climbed up and placed it where thought should be after signing log.

A mint tin with a magnet would suit here perfectly.

I also noticed no activity from the owner since 2014 - a worthy hide to adopt out!

Cheers

Heading out on a caching roadtrip to the Albury/Wodonga region with Jacko83 this was our first stop of the trip. Despite the rain and tricky location the cache was soon found. With suitable equipment (Mitsubishi Powertank Smile) the soggy log was signed regardless.
Thanks, Squangs24-MUZZDAWG11.

Would you like log replaced? Heading through tomorrow. Just shoot me a message with what kind of log and happy to do maint with permission. Cheers.

### **MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###

I notice from one or more recent log entries that **this cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.** Therefore, I am temporarily disabling it so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [Temporarily Disable and Enable,](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)

Please respond to this situation by **3rd September** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

This Aussie icon has certainly seen better days! Mr Harrowang has serviced many of these in days gone by, so it was an easy climb for him. The container could do with some TLC and a new log sheet would be better than the piece of envelope currently serving. We greatly admired the wonderful old trees along the road and especially the one at the parking spot. SL at 2.35pm #3681 TFTC Squangs24

Woo hoo! The cows on the property were not at all interested in what we were doing.....gee that is a fair way up!

Day 2: Whilst on a road trip from Adelaide to Heathcote, today's task was to complete the Dad's Mt. Disappointment Driving Lessons power trail, reach my 1000th caching milestone with friends and round off the day by attending a dinner event where we were staying. It was an early start but we found heaps of caches, ate wholesome and delicious food, drank some amazing wine, engaged in scintillating conversations - there was plenty of laughter and lots of fun!! WinkCoolBig Grin [^]

PLEASE NOTE: given the size of our group and our time constraints, in some logs we just put our caching initials (eg. GL).

Thanks for the cache Smile

Found on a 3 days tour of Victoria.

The team had a great time finding all but 5 of the caches we attempted.

A great time was had by us and thanks to all who placed caches/

The purpose of this weekend's mission across the border was for a driving lesson on Mt Difficult with dad and today was the day [^]
The group rose early, made our way first to the oldest cache in Vic. and gathered a few more smileys in the area before gathering at cache number 1 of this fun series, and off for a very pretty drive inthe forest.
Definately a rewarding way to spend a day
Cheers and thanks for this find

The long weekend brought out the geo-crazies Razz
In the company of Rapidlywild and FurfacessLL we were caching away through the day and evening.
We rocked up to GZ at gawd knows what time, we had our torches and game faces on.
We made our way to the structure and started the search. We spotted the cache not far up the structure at all. Rapidlywild did the honors and we completed our geo-duties.Big Grin
We then made the joint decision to return it to a higher location which we could clearly see where it was suppose to be, ready for the next finder.
Thanks Squangs24 for a unique and creative cache! [^]

Another long weekend....another trip away..this time 1/2 of our team headed to Albury for a weekend of caching with Rapidlywild and Coruze. We collected a few caches along the way down and also around Albury on Friday night. An early start was in order on Saturday and we headed south to Mt Disappointment for the target trail and anything else along the way which happened to come up on the radar.

The trip was not without its mishaps, Rapidlywild left some bark behind when she went down a couple of times and our entry sprained her ankle, again. But all in all, a great weekend was had. Lots of caches collected, not much sleep was had, and lovely weather.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements and giving us a reason to come and check out another area of this country of ours.

Thanks to Rapidlywild and Coruze for another enjoyable weekend.

23-Apr-16
A long weekend, what does that mean? Well GEOCACHING of course Big Grin

Plans were in place to get out this long weekend with one party of the FurfacesLL and head towards Albury. We had organised a weekend of caching with Coruze which included puzzle collections (Albury/Wodonga) and power trail targeting (Mt Disappointment) and what ever little town we can invade along the way.

Alot happened this weekend, lots of caches, lots of laughter, many km's, long days and long nights. We all walked away battered and bruised after this weekend but it was worth it and would do it again in a heart beat lol

We had finished the powertrail on Mt Disappointment, checked into the Motel in Broadford, we were all battered and bruised but we decided to kick on for a little longer. We went and had some dinner and continued our night a little more. This one appears to have been chewed on by a local animal muggle, we found the cache down pretty low, signed it but placed it where we believe it should have been (alititude wise - in alignment with previous finders photos)

Thanks Squangs24 for the placement of this cache[^]Big Grin

Found where little blue wren placed it. Signed the "log".
It looks as though a rodent has had a great time chewing up your cylinder. The cap is in pieces.
That's the problem with using pre-used food containers as caches.
In desperate need of attention by the owner!

Cache in desperate need of care. Looks very much like cows have had a bit of a chew.
Log was wet and unable to unwind. Replaced with a bit of paper but will get wet if it rains.
Cache replaced but is proberly in the wrong place.

Cache was on ground, and has been damaged. Log is basically pulp. In urgent need of maintenance. Thanks Squangs24.

25-Mar-16
Arrived at GZ to find the cache on the ground, and somewhat damaged around the top. I'm wondering if it has fallen in the wind and been stomped by a moogle? Either way, the log was REALLY wet, and this one is in desperate need of some TLC. We put it back at the base of the structure, as we weren't sure where it was meant to go. Thanks Squangs24 for placing a cache here. We took a few pics of the Aussie Icon, it is really quite beautiful!

A quick and easy drive by while we were in the area. his is the first time I have needed to climb one of these to grab a cache, and Geoturtle37 loved the pretty markings on the big old tree nearby. I just discovered an unexpected bonus for us, this cache fills in 1 more square on our D/T grid. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

Myself and my boys headed out for a camping / caching weekend up along the border. Heading out Friday night we set up camp right on the Murray River at Richardsons Bend campground. A great place to camp. The next day we headed to Albury and I did some yakking there while the boys watched from the shore. We then headed west, stopping at Lake Mulwala, where we unloaded the yak and all three of us piled on and spent a great couple of hours on the water. Moving on to one of my old stomping grounds, Cobram, where we spent the afternoon swimming and relaxing, some dinner then we found a great camping spot on the Murray at Smither's Beach (between Cobram and Tocumwal). The next day we turned south for home via Shepparton and Nagambie. Plenty of caches found and some awesome sites visited.

A short detour through Broadford and we were soon standing at the base of the windmill. I made the cache retrieval and signed the log, then the boys had a go at climbing too, not too high though ! A fav for us and thanks Squangs24.

Valentine's Day find by Josh and Stacey no way we were climbing though!

16-Dec-15
I had the day off so with the good weather I decided to plan a road trip out to find Melbourne's First cache and pick up as many others as I could along the way.

After making the historical find I headed into Broadford on my way back to look for the range of caches hidden there as well. After initially being a bit confused by the GPS readings, I reread the cache notes and quickly honed in on GZ. An easier assault than I had first thought but I was glad to be back on solid ground signing the log. I've added a new piece of paper as the original log as just a mushy ball of wet paper. Thanks for the cache Squangs24.

30-Nov-15
We stopped at Broadford on our way home from the North East.
This was a unique little cache.
Unfortunately the log is just a mushy lump.
We wrote our names as best as we could buit we weren't prepared for replacing any logs sorry.
Thanks for the fun cache though.

Thanks for the hide.

29-Nov-15
I have decided to start the long quest of doing a second round of the P81 difficulty terrain grid so I went for a drive to get a specific D1/T4 cache up the hume highway to Broadford then meandered my way back home stopping off for a few on the way home.
This was the main cache I came for so stopped here first before turning around. My buddy Fleabag- had done this cache before so I was on my own today. Fairly quiet so I parked in the convenient parking and walked in to GZ. I spotted the easiest climb location and headed up assuming I would just see the cache when I got there. I was right, there it was right in front of me.
Couldn't get the lid off easily so climbed back down and got the lid off, signed (partially anyway, it's very wet) the log and headed back up again to replace it.
Great location for a cache, it's the first one of these I have ever climbed for a cache so I'm giving it a favourite.
Thanks Squangs24 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Another great find while in the area.
SL (FAIRLY WET) - thanks for the fun cache!

#1034 - Seeing a nearby T4 cache peaked my interest so I had to at least come and check it out. Really awesome cache placement, sure is an Aussie icon.

I only recently found out that what I thought this Aussie icon was called growing up is not the case at all!
It does make more sense with it's actual name though.
Turns out that not everything they teach you at school is true.

This cache came recommended as it was different. We were travelling home from the Lake Eildon Geo Tour and detoured just for this one. Never been on one of those before. It was fun to get and sign the cache here.
The log is very wet though.

On our way to Eildon for the Geotour, we diverted to pick this cache up as it was a particular D/T we are after. It was raining when we left Melbourne so we were pleased the rain had stopped before we reached Broadford. Thanks for the cache, and for recognising and highlighting an Aussie Icon so important to the farming communities to Australia. Caching today with Glanville Girls and Tomstache.

I have been waiting awhile to come up to Broadford and having recovery from minor surgery recently I thought this would be a good test first up. Perfect conditions, no moisture and no wind. Featherdown stayed in the car and wouldn't look unless I screamed.
The whole thing was nice and easy and I let the dampish log flap in the breeze a bit while I admired the view.
Thanks

My, Geohubby did enjoy the challenge of retrieving this cache and replacing it. Don't think he ever thought he would be doing this at his age(80!) Do wished we had the camera with us to get a photo!!
It is amazing what cachers will do to get that cache and sign yet another log book. We will give you a fav for thinking up such a good Aussie iconic spot to place a cache and getting permission to place it there for gecachers to have the challenge and enjoyment of getting your cache.

Having parked our caravan where we hoped it would be safe - it was "Broadie By Bike" for us. On arrival nearb to the GZ we wanted to query the accuracy of our navigation device, however a closer look at the cache notes confirmed it was all OK! It was a treat to be so close to one of these icons which we usually only see from the road.

Day one of our post Christmas / pre New Year trip... taking our new tent trailer for a test run, weather was very hot and humid. Our travels are taking us up to Ettamogah and across to Old Tallangatta before returning home.

Visiting many towns along the way, taking the Geo wife to places she has never been before, and giving our Geo Pug time to sniff out new territories Smile

Did not expect to be seeing constant temps in the high 30's to low 40's... Geo wife got to see her first live black snake on the road in Australia, and I almost stood on a 5 foot brown snake at one cache on the HCRT, and a red back spider at another.
Stayed at some nice FREE camp sites along the way and a couple of caravan parks as well, learned a lot of things along the way, history and more, but in all a great adventure and we were able to clock up our 1000th find along the way ..

thanks to the CO for this cache, Nice hide !

Day number 24 of the 31 Days of Geocaching and after visiting Melbourne’s 1st cache, our challenge was to complete some more elements of the D/T matrix on the way back. This was our second D/T challenge for Broadford. Quick drive out from town, and we were at the right spot. After re-reading the description to confirm where we thought the cache would be, and that it had landowner permission, we were at the base.

Up I went with junior geocachers re-assuring me that they knew how to call 000 if needed, which really helped me as someone who hates heights. Once climbed, the cache was easy to locate, and glad I had a top pocket to bring it down to sign the log. Nipped back up to put the cache in place, and back off to the next challenge.

Thanks for the cache.

Found in the company of Biggles Bear. The log was a little damp. From the online logs, it appears that Archie B1 and B2 were the first to find, but their log in the cache was reduced to a faint coloured blot at the top of the log page. It's a very iconic location, and a great place for a cache. Thanks for bringing us here.

Don.t be put off by the terrain here. These city fruits could nearly see their place from this vantage point. An absolute icon of this country and looks like it has pumped plenty of water during its halcyon days. A little long in the tooth these days as the surrounding land looks like it has had a good drink recently.
These sneaky cylinders look like a worthy purchase.
Both for contents and recycling.
Drove here from the city for a FTF in this hectic August. A record of 7 consecutive days with some other FTFs.
Thanks Squangs24 MUZZDAWG11 as we go to more of your work around here.
