I am regretfully archiving this cache since unfortunately there has been no action to restore it, or any communication from the cache owner, arnott.family, requesting additional time, and it appears abandoned.

Caches archived under these circumstances are unable to be Unarchived, and this location is now available for the placement of a new cache.

Sorry for the lack of response on my behalf. Had other issues to deal with. Sorry to see it archived but life happens sometimes.

Did not find it. Been looking for ten minutes.

24-Nov-19
We looked for a good 20 mins with 4 pairs of eyes with no luck here today.

It's a real shame that the area is full of rubbish, needles, and broken glass. Not somewhere I would bring the family again. Disgusting.

My search was interrupted when three men came to check out the place, and one decided to climb on the object at GZ. I'll try again another time,

I was making the most of some annual leave and headed out this afternoon to pick up a few more of the TbroG series nearby. While looking at the map I saw this little series and after a bit more research realised that #1 was still active and I'd be going straight past it Smile That said, I almost missed it completely - as the parking area isn't signposted I drove straight past it on the way out, and nearly did the same on the way back! I'm intrigued about what's here now though - they've put in a new bridge and further in I saw another small wooden bridge so there must be trails here to hike? I need to research some more as there's no way I would have noticed this place just by driving past. As for the cache, I quickly spotted where I needed to be (hard to miss, lol), and then was lucky to make a really fast find. In fact it took longer to pry the magnet from the machine than to spot it, lol. Thanks for bringing me here - I suspect I will be back for a longer walk around Smile TFTC

A spent quite a while here, was getting frustrated, so decided to message a friend. Finished the text, went and looked where I had looked before but at a different angle and there it was. Yep that magnet is very stong. tftc and the hunt in the fresh air.

The thing I don't get, is that if I left my car out to rust like this in the bush, I'd get fined for littering. However, a company or the government can just leave a huge beast like this in the middle of nowhere and it's allowed? Go figure. Easy find. TFTC.

Out for a day of caching around the TBROG series with dezzabills and Lasarus_68. I managed to find 72 caches for the day with one DNF so all in all it was a good day to be out caching. Some of the caches had been found by dezzabills and or Lazarus so we all had a different find count for the day. Most of the series were found quite quickly with the odd one taking a little more time. The one thing we will have to do is return and finish off the series at a later date. This was find number seventy for the day. Recorded the code word for later reference.

Out with buddies hhheddy & dezzabills, following the TbroG series, making most of public holiday + perfect weather. Thank you arnott's

Out on a caching hunt with Mistraluna and while doing the other caches of DM series, we were almost convinced that this one was archived. Well at least I was. It took me a bit of an investigation to realise that the first hide was a quite far away from the others. And turned out that Mistraluna had already visited the hide. Pity she did not save the clue Smile Either way it was a great spot to discover, we even saw a tortoise swimming... sweet. Although we are missing the finals smiley, it is till a well earned favourite from me.

After picking up a FTF nearby I thought I'd grab a few more smileys in the area before it got too hot. Found the easy way to GZ and after a short search I needed a fair bit of strength to dislodge the container.

arnott.family I found your cache at 7:36am, this was the 4th of 8 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 3731. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Was worried this was turning into a repeat of my last search for this cache. But managed to locate it this time. Huzzah!

03-Dec-16
What an awesome day we had today - great company, great scenery, great caching - the only downside was the hour and a half drive to get to the start and then the hour and a half drive to get home again. But it was well and truly worth it, clocking up 77 finds in total over about 7 hours of caching in a really beautiful part of our state. This was our third stop for the day, and a relatively quick find it was too. Shame about the graffiti, but at least they can spell correctly in this neck of the woods. Otherwise a great place for a cache. Thanks for the smiley arnott.family

Initially we parked in the wrong spot and then couldn't find a way to GZ. Finally we noticed the bridge and this lead to the object and a quick find. Thanks.

We must have been tired because we made a meal out of getting to this cache. Quick find eventually. Interesting colour in the pond.

This is the last I need for this set and looking at the logs I figured it wouldn't be too much trouble. I swear I have never been so intimate with a piece of rusted machinery. I had a torch and a pokey/grabby tool and examined every nook and crevice about 10 times over. Still no cache. *cries*

Originally found under family caching name "clan-wallace". Geohubby wants his own caching name, so I get to re log them for him!

Mac had been so good all day but while we were distracted here he disappeared & went for a swim in that, yes I mean THAT BIG DIRTY PIT FILLED with water. He came out completely black & smelly. Now he's in the doghouse. But we did find the cache. TFTC

06-Mar-16
Stopped off here on the way home from the farm. After a short walk I found the structure, including a large case that was not the cache. There is a lot of broken glass here - its everywhere so please make sure kids have shoes on. After 3 laps of the structure and disappearing daylight I was about to give up hope and log a DNF when the torch spotted something, reached in and sure enough cache was in hand. Signed log and forgot to grab clue. So will have to return another day. Please note luckily you do not need to get down on your hands and knees to search - so need to get covered in glass. Lovely area just a shame its getting destroyed my some horrible graffitti and rubbish. Makes me sad to see people destroy the environment like that. TFTC arnott.family never knew this little hidey hole existed. Can't wait to do the rest of the series.

Heading home Sad today after a couple of days in Toodyay finding cache and placing some Smile

Took the short walk to gz and gave it the basic going over. I headed back to the car for a 'tool of the trade' for muggle to use and within a few seconds he found it just as I was about to see the cache from a different angle

Three out of three finds for muggle this morning Smile

I've driven past this spot many times but I never knew this old beast was in here rusting away, so that was a surprise when I walked in to GZ. I must have just missed the cache when I first started searching, so I then spent quite a while searching everywhere else with no luck. Then I went back to my car and got a torch, and sure enough, it was a quick find after that. Signed log and got the code word. Thanks for placing this cache for us all to find and enjoy.

28-Sep-15
Awwww it was last one of the series we needed to work out the mystery cache and we had a sad DNF:( . We searched for ages until it got dark so we pitched our tent on the back of our ute. We'll just have to come back another day

29-Jul-15
We nearly missed this one with the turn coming while I had a D...H... on my tail while driving down towards Midland. A quick find - though nearly missed. in the dark. I noted at the time, that it had been found earlier today, and that it looked like something had been dragged out along the ground. Thanks to arnott.family for the cache.

29-Jul-15
TFTC. All in good condition and replaced as found.

Was checking out some spots from muggle partners childhood, when I saw what was here figured there must be a cache nearby and what luck it was part of a series, a nice easy find TFTC Smile

When I first found this one the rest of the series hadn't been put out yet, and as far as I remember there wasn't a code word to note down, so after finding the others today I had to stop in at this one on the way down the hill to re-find it and note the code word.

There was a guy parked in the parking area and having a swim/bath in the dam when I got there. A quickish find here, I got the word I needed, and was off.

Thanks for the cache arnott.family!

Wow the things u find on the side of the road the boys were greatly interested in this cache and the dam located next to it tftc

29-Sep-14
Nice find

06-Sep-14
This first one in the series was the last one I found on the way back to Perth.

Today was the day for trying to find caches on machinery so after 2 DNFs it was good to finally find this one. Being careful to avoid the rusted metal, broken glass, oil stains and spider webs I finally put my hand on this cache with a very strong magnet and was able to sign the log and retrieve the final clue. I will be back for DM 5 when I am next up this way. tftc.

Great GZ, a fave point from us. Didn't take us as long to locate the cache as it could have. TFTC Smile
