Like dippity bix and canubial sausage, this giocaysh has cancelled pet. I know you are sad but look at moi, look at moi, look at moi, Ive got one word to say to yoi.......
I've got one thing to say to you, "disappointed". We very much wanted to help Kimmy out with her die-lemm-a. But, no luck today. There lots of muggles around, but we were on a mission to find this cache. We looked up, down and even climbed up to get a better view. No luck. We felt like "nongs". Thanks anyway gruffpuppy.

No luck for me tonight, specially when a muggle of questionable intelligence interrupted my search by doing doughnuts in the car park. TFTH gruffpuppy
Out shopping with Miss E so thought we would fit some searches in. Fun find
Cooool! Found it finally after realising we were searching on the wrong floor. TFTC
Had an early morning start helping out at an event nearby. As things started to finish I saw that there was a cache nearby... and bonus the car park was empty wandered over to GZ, had a look around and saw the cache. Retrieval and replacement no issue at all! TFTC!
#297 - 3pm
With the weather today being rather wet and windy, the vast indoor spaces Fountain Gate seemed most appealing. Had a lovely day out with the geo-mum and Mrs Welder. Had a laugh seeing Mr Camo pretend to be a mannequin outside Aussie Disposals and startling unaware muggles!! We were back in the car and about to make our way home when I veered over to visit this Kath and Kim legacy. Fate was kind today, enabling me to demonstrate my hobby to the geo-mum with a quick find. The return had a few false starts due to the muggle factor. Lol.
Thank you muchly, gruffpuppy. It was a fun hide, and nice to share with the family. All is well with the cache.

I had to come to the shopping centre to get an issue I was having with my iPhone looked at. As its my primary caching tool it's important that it's in good working order. I had a bit of time to kill before my appointment and more than enough time to get this cache. Now I had parked my car closest to the Apple Store and of course the cache was not anywhere near my car. I was only 50 m away from GZ when I realised I didn't bring a pen with me. I was feeling a bit hungry so I thought I might go and by something to eat from the nearby food court and maybe I could ask to borrow a pen. I went to the Indian place and ordered a samosa. I asked the girl if I could borrow a pen saying I needed to write something down and that I would bring it back soon. I walked off with the pen and my samosa and went out the door. It suddenly occurred to me that I might not be able to return the pen to the girl as quickly as I thought. If it was a tricky hide it could take me some time to locate it. So I walked back inside thanked the girl for the pen and went next door to Kmart and bought a new pen. I made my way to GZ found the cache quickly enough. I did what was needed to retrieve it with out being seen by muggles. TFTC
I do like to be able to park 3m from GZ! But then the 27 minute wait to be clear of muggles is not great!
While I could see the cache, how could I get it?
Monkey see, monkey do!
Cache in hand and signed it was time to find today's next adventure
Thanks for placing this cache :)

I grew up in rural south Australia watching Kath and Kim. I couldn't believe it when I moved to Melbourne and it was an actual place - and many of the people here are so similar to those in the series. Tftf
TFTC. We had come to Fountain Gate to make a purchase at the camping shop. We then drove around to the shopping centre proper and as we exited we retrieved this simple cache.
Must say that we were not big fans of Kath and Kim and did not make a habit of watching the series on TV.

Found it in an unexpected place with my reluctant eldest geocache son who did the retrieval for me .

Thought Fountain Gate would be a good place to get off the freeway and find somewhere to park to access the bike path to do a few caches in the area. BIG MiSTAKE. Not the place to be on the second day of the Boxing Day sales. Parked a few streets away then walked along the bike track in both directions picking up caches along the way. By the time we were back near FG the shops were closing and the car park had almost emptied. After finding the right area a short search located the cache. The difficulty was retreiving and replacing the cache with more straggling shoppers returning to their cars. Eventually log signed and returned. TFTC and the story gruffpuppy
After driving back from Portarlington after Chrissy lunch dropped the boys off to have Christmas dinner with the ex's family and headed over to 'Fountain Lakes' to do some caching. Thought I would have the place to myself but I reached GZ there were 4 cars parked nearby and a group of people hanging out having a chat so decided to come back after doing some of the other caches in the area. When I returned they had gone so started to search for the cache. A security car turned up and I was preparing what to say but they didn't seemed concerned to see me there and just drove right past me. Found the cache soon after. Glad it wasn't a normal day at FG because there was no way I could have retrieved this one with any degree of stealth. SL. TFTC gruffpuppy
Nicely hidden, able to snag it when no muggles saw. Thanks for getting me out of that mall!

Geodaughter nabbed this one while I kept an eye out for muggles. It's after hours so we were lucky!! TFTC!
Decided to do some of the Hallam Trail on foot after the Mega in the weekend, on a nice hot day, took a break here, checked out the mall, had some cool refreshments then tackled this one, not far from the food hall, Nice easy find, TFTC
Good old fountain lakes.. A good grad for the time of night we got there, was down in this area for the Mega.. TFTC
We are on a road trip to attend "The Melbourne Event" Mega, taking our time to get there and on the return journey. Fortunately, there were lots of caches along the way to tempt us to stop for a while to smell the roses. This was one of those caches. The cache was found easily enough and with our name in the log book, we were off to find a few more.
Thank you gruffpuppy for having placed the cache for everyone to enjoy

Out tonight picking up a few cache e missed on the last time through. Also trying to find 1000 cache this calendar year, so it is all about the numbers.thanks for the fun. TFTC
Staying locally to attend the Mega Even down at Casey Fields. Drove down after work and after checking in to our accommodation went is search for tea. Knew this cache was near by (having found it with a geocacher when I was just a muggle). Just loved the name so had to grab. Being later in the evening there was enough muggle free periods to grab and sign.
Thanks gruffpuppy

With not too many muggles around we parked close and made our way to the likely feature. A bit of a look and a feel and we soon made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Somehow, I've lost a day and have been signing everything 25/7! Better than the other week when I gained several days. Anyway, it was a quick find whilst 'making a phone call' but didn't need to use the same tactic to replace it. tftc
Just going back and logging all the geocaches we've found as #SEALTeam4 under my own name. TFTC
Had to wait for a muggle to leave the car park before we got the cache. It took ages for him to leave. after he left we quickly got the cache signed the log and headed of before someone else came while we were there.

Finally had a chance to come back and try this one again after being foiled by muggles last time. Stopped off to do some shopping after the Bubbles flash mob event and thought we'd have no chance as the carparks were chockers. Figured we may as well go near GZ as anywhere else and managed to park right next to it.
After waiting for a few muggles to walk past, Geokid 2/2 headed for where we thought it would be, retrieved the cache and casually came back to the car so we could sign the log. A few minutes more waiting and she was able to return it to it's hiding spot and we were off to buy some shoes.
Thanks for making the shopping trip fun

I was all in a tizz because moi new dutch oven had arrived and I had to get down to Fountain Gate toot-suite. The parking was a bit tricky, but I felt it in my waters that the cache was close. I felt like such a foxymoron when I found the cache, and would have done the chicken dance, but the heavens were threatening and I didn't want to get my pretty hair flattened. Thanks gruffpuppy.
"Kimmie, look at me. Look at me please. Look at me, look at me. Now, I have one word for you: feng shui."
OH! What in the love in God is that?
I'm not as stupid as I look.

Pretty sure we know the area to look but a muggle sitting in his car right next to where we wanted to search foiled our plans. We waited for a while, 15min after shops closed and still he sat so we went off to find another and hoped to get back before it got too dark. Half an hour later and we came back and he was still there!!! When we got home I had to show Geokid 2/2 some Kath & Kim on Youtube so she could understand the name of the cache.
We will be back though and hopefully we can park where he was so we don't look too suss.

Scanned the cache wording for some semblance of English, since both GPSr had it 15m out.
In the end, we just started looking for a magnetic surface.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Wandering across on foot the likely looking spot was quick established. Answer the phone, grab the cache and wander off to sign the log. Then waiting for no shopping muggles it was a sweep past and the container was tucked back into place.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
But tricky so muggles can't see you. If you park well. It makes it easier to buy time
Had to make a quick dash to Freedom to pick up a lamp, so picked up Nut bear on the way then picked up this cache on the way home. I know....... Lots of pick ups but the good news is I always carry fresh log sheets in the car so this one has a nice new one in a shiny new zip lock bag too.
Thanks gruffpuppy for the cache.

After a very busy day at work it was great to get out and get this cache with BorisB&Natasha. Surprised how quiet this area was compared to the other side which made for a nice quick find.

TFTC easy find for the cook while I walked in circles trying to make sense of the gps. Log sheet just about full
Found in the company of GJMMelb and quiet1_au on bikes. It looked like there was a bit of hooning happening here, with teenagers experimenting with their cars in the not quite empty car park. I spotted the cache fairly quickly and then went to the shops to get something to drink. When I returned, q had also arrived. TFTC
After completing the return bike journey along the Hallam Bypass Trail (collecting about twenty caches along the way) lochb, G' of GJMMelb and I loaded up the bikes and drove to Fountain Gate to pick up the caches there. I took the freeway, the other two went the other way and eventually we met up again at GZ (I had to walk there as the roof-top bike carrier prevented me from getting under the height safety gates and was delayed as I checked the roof rack was still tight). lochb and G' had already found the cache but pointed out the hide and had logged me in (so much for my shortcut...) TFTC
Found with Lochb and Quiet1_au all in separate cars. We had just completed the Hallam Bike trail and had bikes with us. I followed the GPS down the main road and L followed me. Q went in another direction. We arrived and parked very close to Gz. There were some other people around but they were not interested in us. We had a look around in the few places a cache could be and L made the find. She then went to the shops while I waited for Q to arrive. Thanks gruffpuppy

Arrived at GZ only to see police and forensics very close by, doesn't look good at all. Still managed to get cache in hand quite quickly and got out of there !!!! TFTC SL.
Took a friend along for the ride that didn't know what geocaching was. Welcome to the cult!
Today we completed this cache while doing the Hallam Bypass trail series.
A good hide and accurate co ordinates made a quick find. TFTC.

Having done the previous incarnation of this cache, we honed in on a likely spot, only trouble was a couple were having a blew and they were hogging GZ so we came back later. 3 hours later they were gone and we could log this cache in peace,

After completing part of the Hallam Bypass Trail series, stopped by this cache before heading inside to enjoy some relief from the heat of today. Followed my GPSr to the coordinates and using the hint as a guide, had the cache in hand after a quick search. Had to time my retrieval and replacement between shopper muggles.

After a night out, the car park was almost deserted. Geomrs parked right next to gz and a quick find was made. TFTC
It's no secret this place scares me and its no secret I'm trying to do a long line of daily caches at the moment, Christmas is making that very difficult! - the trick would be not finding the cache but finding the center deserted. So I did a drive by of this one the other day with the intention of making it easier to grab today. We were on our way past and knew the center wouldn't be busy yet an great time to loiter in the car park and look dodgy! The cache was soon in hand and the log signed TFTC Gruffpuppy SL TNLN TBV - Pic attached of a baby magpie who was begging for food
Headed into Narre Warren, to pick up some caches in the area.
Weaved our way through the parked cars, for a quick find at GZ.
Many thanks for placing this cache, gruffpuppy, for us and others to find.

Nice little hide. Had to look a few times till I realised where it was. Fountain Gate was pouring with people. It was nuts I tell you. Who would be crazy enough to go shopping even the day after boxing day. Well all the crazies were there. TFTC
A quick grab on a very busy day at Fountain Gate. Found on our annual Santa pilgrimage to drop off presents to our children and grandchildren. Thanks gruffpuppy.

We were very lucky it was Melbourne Cup day and not many muggles were around. Easy to find.
Gps went a bit crazy around here, but with the help of the hint it was easily located. Thanks
Talk about off the mark !!! 30 meters... With the hint the cache was found easily
Time for a geocaching run this morning, I'm having withdrawal symptoms from not getting more than 3 in a day for yonks, I feel better now after 22 straight finds.
Out and about early this Sunday morning to beat the muggles in this busy area.
Quick find on the way around this huge monstrosity of a shopping centre.

Out with SciFiRulz on a rainy dark night and this one was really easy with not many muggles around. I signed and then had to wait for some muggles to pass before putting it back. I got caught up in the next find while waiting and nearly forgot to put it back 'til I heard a Ahem from SciFiRulz. TFTC
Found as Nicnax with WeRAmused. After a bit of a walk through the empty carparks we made the easy find. TFTC

After a frustrating time spent with a near by cache "Self Doubt", it was relief to actually find a cache which contains an actual log to sign. A quick find between all the muggle traffic. Now it was time for lunch.
