A puzzle solved in preparation for a day I would be in the area. Easy park and grab. TFTC.
On our way back from Corryong we pick up some caches in Beechworth area. Solved this cache a while ago. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache, another nice and easy drive by, with the puzzle not too bad. Cache in good condition.
Nice views driving up to this.Off in another adventure with Kittykatch. Arrived at Beechworth with the bikes and ready to explore. Day 2 Thanks for getting me out and about BettyBoo3747

Final day of blue sky and sunshine for this trip. With camp packed up we began our way home via a few caches of course.A quick park and grab along this road after having invested the time in the puzzle answers. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. It was a great day out!----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Start preparing by checking out the 2023 geocaching lists available [here](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists/) and find some of the new caches ahead of nominations opening.
This was a great puzzle and the find was interesting - I spotted the where the container was at the same time I spotted a coiled snake! But then realised there was a strong smell - a dead snake? Anyway I still was a little cautious using a stick to move the container closer. Signed the log and replaced. Thanks to BettyBoos3747 for the cache.
I was with McLookers, Micaparamedic and Muzza and found this 2 days ago, but didn't want to log until I solved it. Enjoyed finding the answers on the train to the events in Geelong today. Great puzzle, thanks.
Found today in a group consisting of Micaparamedic, McLookers, myself and Connie and Rickf. All signed as 3MC. We were here to find all the HSS series before they were archived early next month. My thanks for the cache, BettyBoo3747.
Solved prior to our trip, found today.Visiting the area with Muzza, micaparamedic and ConnieandRick to complete the HSS Series. We signed the logs 3MC.Thanks for placing the cache BettyBoo3747.
Solved a long time ago. not in the area very often to make the find.(signed log on 26 November 2023, a couple of weeks ago)In the area tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon.Out caching with D@geoThank you the hide BettyBoo3747
Found with gwd.aussie.Travelled over the mountains to tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon. Solved this cache a while ago in preparation for the Wangaratta Mega which sadly did not end up attending so made sure to claim the find while in the area. Thanks BettyBoo3747
I enjoyed my research to solve this puzzle.Found today while caching in the area. Thanks very much, BettyBoo3747
Chook joined forces with The Tritonz and headed to Wangaratta for a couple of days, with the main targets being to find a few solved puzzles and tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon. This puzzle had been solved a good while ago and gave us no problems in the research. Today when heading towards GZ we were faced with a farmer moving his sheep. We chose to turn around and go a different way and find a few more caches and come back a bit later. This was a good move because when we returned the coast was completely clear and the cache found without any further issues.TFTC and puzzle BettyBoo3747.
With the Geelong Cup and an RDO up our sleeve, it was time to head up north in the great company of chooknchunk for a midweek getaway and finally try and complete the HSS Series before the CO finally says goodbye to the Basketball geoart forever. With some research long ago we had the corrected coordinates to be able to pick this hide up today after avoiding a flock of sheep the farmer was moving from one paddock to another. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the mystery placement.
Solved for the last mega at Wangaratta but didnt get a chance to get them so made a family trip up for the weekend. TFTC

Day 4 in f the Rutherglen Mega and we are almost done and dusted, almost , not quite. Always plenty more fun to be had, people to meet, and socialising before I’m done.
I’m still madly trying to hit my milestone for the mega. Trip delays and disruptions have not helped my cause but I’m on a mission as I’ve still got a couple of days before I travel home.
Truly a fabulous location, thank you Rutherglen for the hospitality. ️️ And all the other surroundings areas as well.
Great to meet new faces and to spend caching time with some familiar cachers as well.
The committee and volunteers have done an amazing job at organising so many events over the Easter break. Hearty congratulations and a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all involved.
Thanks so much BettyBoo3747 for putting out and maintaining this cache. And of course for getting me out and about and enjoying this area too

Today our main focus was around the HSS caches and completing most of the series where possible. A great series with some different cache hides
A short stop here today cache was easily found and is all good
After heading to tassie for almost 3 weeks, we detoured to Wangaratta for the Victorian Mega to catch up with some friends that we hadn’t seen for months if not years. We caught up with Freddo and e.gregory1 for the duration of the weekend, travelling around the local areas finding many of the caches that were on offer. To save room in the log books we signed as FEG or FEGC.
A wonderful area and nice to have a look around in somewhere I had only visited for 20mins before.
Thanks for the cache

The lure of a couple of extra icons (Maze and Locationless) meant that I was more keen than normal to attend a Mega Event. Covid issues asside, a plan was hatched, rehatched, changed and finalised to attend for a few days in Victoria with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats. Another trip away like countless others that we have done before, and yet totally different, thanks to Covid.
The caches were excellent. The company, as always, fantastic. We find more than our fair share of Adventure Labs, as well as complting a few series. I think we walked away with 300 finds, not a bad haul. The laughs were endless, but that is to be expected on trips away like this.
Thanks so much to all of the cache hiders, and especially to the event organisers. I cannot imagine the hoops that you had to keep jumping through to get this off the ground. A special thank you for bringing the Maze Down Under!
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Again thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

With the Mega event being held in Wangaratta, The Rats, Hoojar, Wilbert67 and I headed south for the main event but also plenty of other local hides.
We tackled trails around Glenrowan on Friday, together with Beechworth and the HSS Series before spending time around Wangaratta on the Saturday. TFTC!

Headed south with my caching mates, steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert to attend the on, off, on again COVID restricted Wangaratta Mega event...... credit to the organisers for persisting.
With us having limited time in the area, we tried to pack as much as we could into each day. From Glenrowan, to Beechworth, to Mrytleford, to Warby Ovens NP, to the streets of Wangaratta, we seemed to be on the go all the time. While the weather was too hot for caching at times we often found relief by cooling off in the river.
We found so many different types of caches, its a credit to all the CO's for providing the caches for everyone to find, whether they were new or old placements, we had a great time in Wang.
Spent the afternoon tackling some of the HSS series.

After travelling down from Canberra, FurfacesLL ladies and myself did our check in duties and then decided to head down to this smallish rail trail with the bikes to try get some finds up our sleeves. Grabbed a couple roadside ones along the way and then made our way to the most furtherest one to begin the ride. Was an enjoyable ride with some lovely scenic views along the way.

After leaving home a little later than we had planned, we finally arrived in Wangaratta and checked into our accommodation with Rapidlywild. Nice cabin that was a little toasty but we soon cooled that down with the air-conditioner while we unloaded the cars.
We then set off to do one of the trails that we had planned to attack also collecting others along our journey.
After loading the bikes back onto the car/ground support we headed to a few more before heading into town.
Have had this one sitting in the solved by not found pile for awhile. Tonight was the night to finally pick it up.

A plan was hatched for us four Queenslanders, RoddyC, hatsofff & grannysmith1947 (signing as Team 44 QLD) to join maccamob to start on the HSS series as well as picking up a few solved puzzles & trads along the way.
Most caches were found in great condition and were easily enough to spot, we also appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our benefit, thank you to all the CO's.

Loved that one. Not too hard but challenging enough. Nice drive on a cool morning. Beautiful hills on either side. TFTC.

Ok so that's not quite true for this day/night's caching trip... I just thought I'd leave it in here to tie all the caches found for this challenge together!
Rex and I set out with the mission to find 32 geocaches in order to meet the requirements for this current challenge.
Naturally it was a freezing cold (Arctic winds and weather due to what was described as 'the worst storm of winter') so we spent all day from about 4pm until midnight traipsing through long, wet grass and water filled roadside verges with rain falling intermittently and cold winds blowing through us [xx(][xx(]
I found the last cache just before midnight [|)][xx(] then changed into dry clothes for the trip home [^] and had Harry's heater on high [:X][^]
All up 34 cache finds and 6 DNF's although we did manage to find a couple that had previously been DNFs so that made the day/night much brighter especially since I had only been caching about an hour with my hand held sun when the sunlight ceased! [xx(]
No problems, spare charged batteries in Harry [^] except a short while later they shut down too[xx(] Obviously they WEREN'T charged
Time to rely on the head torch and pray that the batteries in it don't go flat before I get the last 6 or so caches that I need Thankfully it did last and the goal was met!! [^][^]

After camping on the Murray at Doolan’s Bend last night, I slowly made my way to Beechworth, visiting some interesting spots and grabbing a few selected caches along the way. Today was my fourth day on the road after leaving Adelaide to travel to Tasmania via country Victoria.
It was another great day, albeit a little warm, and I enjoyed a couple of walks and rewarding cache finds along the way, including some interesting challenge caches.
This puzzle was solved prior to leaving home in anticipation of my visit and was a quick find.

Another fun mystery that required a little bit of research which gathered some additional information on the people who provided those 'pearls' of the spoken variety.
Thanks to the wonders of modern data extraction the numbers were soon worked out for this one, but today we got to visit GZ. Tucked away nicely in the Murmungee Basin, the cache was found quickly without problems.

sushilord and Doctor Owl were on a mission to find caches in deepest darkest Victoria with the main aim of visiting challenge caches and working on requirements for a number of challenge caches in South Australia and Victoria. During the trip there were laughs, tears, fractious frustrations and new equipment tested with some technology failures. Many miles were covered and boxes opened along the way.
An enjoyable puzzle, thanks BettyBoo.

Suscoe was out and about today in the very good company of Phetlern.
We were enjoying the countryside surrounding the beautiful township of Beechworth.
This locale is certainly full of caching opportunities and we thank all those who have created, placed and maintain these caches for the geocaching world to enjoy.
It was a beaut day with some sunshine, some wind and magnificent views.
The cattle around here certainly look like they are in excellent condition.
The grass seeds are in great numbers as is the pollen.
Our socks will never be the same after the grass seed infestations.
We had an excellent day, lots of laughs, chatting and fun.

A 4 day trip from Adelaide to Everton, Beechworth and surrounds.
8 of South Australia's finest caching teams came across the border Freddo, Team Astro, The White Dog Gang, Four Fun, Unicycle, Southern Cross Caching, Shonkloic, and Team Waldron hit the bike trails and country back roads.
It wasn't nice the the mozzies were sent to defend the ceches against us but we persisted.
On the way home we visited Bendigo, St Arnaud and many towns in between.
Many thanks to all the cache owners who put out caches for us to find.
A great time was had and we left enough to make another trip worthwhile.

We CAME. We CACHED. We SAW STUFF. Eight South Australian caching teams on the prowl in Lake Victoria. We were attacked by vampire mosquitoes. We were attacked by rogue magpies. We were attacked by brown snakes. We were attacked by running kangaroos. We were attacked by publicans and cooks. In the end we got the message and went home, but not before finding lots of hidden cachey things using billions of dollars of satellites and cheap hand-held devices.

Found on an awesome trip with the SAW STUFF boys (Shonky, Astro[me], Waldron, Southern Cross, Whitedog, Unicycle, Freddo & Four-Fun). The trip had it all including this awesome cache. There were pots and schooners (no pints) , mazzive mozzies the size of small elephants we hitched rides on , realistic lizards, real live [xx(] kangaroos that got to close and uphills. Then there were bikes and pumps. There was sweat and dust but no tears. My thanks to the group and the coordination that enabled an amazing fun filled few days that will go down in caching-lore. [^]

TFTC. It certainly was a lovely drive through the Murmungee Basin area. The walls of the "crater" were covered in green. A big difference to when we are usually in the general area of North East Victoria. We were only familiar with one of the quotes, a bit of research and we had the puzzle solved.
#1570 Unlike some other BB challenges we managed to punch out the set of the correct numbers for this cache relatively quickly. Although solved sometime back, today we made the effort in glorious sunshine to sign the log. Some wonderful views nearby of Mt Buffalo and a snow capped Mt Feathertop. Took a lovely pt, thanks again BB.
A very interesting puzzle, another cache collected on our tour of the peaceful countryside.

Riding around the Basin today and checking some caches along the way. Dropped a TB here and left one of my Mermaid Pathtags.
After a great day yesterday completing the High Voltage series we had this morning to check out some other local caches. Setting out with ppras, Bruce and Robyn for a short morning run. The others had solved the ? and I was there to enjoy and sign off.
Thanks BettyBoo3747, it was great to meet you

Found at 9:23 AM in the company of half of Liz and Bruce, The Morris and xambo4u.
A beautiful day driving around this basin - we are really enjoying these caches and also really enjoyed the sayings which I just find fascinating as some of them appear to be just off the cuff!
Thanks BettyBoo3747.

The puzzle was fun, the morning was beautiful, the company was focussed and the cache was no match. TFTC BettyBoo3747

During a quick "time out" from the HoopStars Series, 2015 summer season with fellow cachers Liz and Bruce we were very happy to add our names to this log book. It was fascinating researching the historical quotes.
Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the hunt.

Having arrived in Myrtleford yesterday it was with great enthusiasm we headed out today to do this series and as many of the other nearby caches that we could. Phetlern were able to join us for some caching in the afternoon and it was great to be in their company. We loved the variety of hides and enjoyed the beautiful scenery, contented cows and gorgeous old trees. Bruce and I were season ticket holders for the 36ers for several years and it was nice to see some familiar names come up. Thanks to BettyBoo3747 for placing this cache.
While solving the HSS series we noticed this and squeezed it in to get another smiley.

Day three of our five day stint in Everton with Alansee and The Drovers trying our luck on some of the power and Rail trails in the area.
Another of your 'said that" puzzles that we knew some of the answers to with out referring to Google, but for the rest it was our best friend.
Once again with good coordinates the nicely hidden cache was found quickly and our names have been added to the log.
To save time and not take up room on the logs we signed as ACDC
Alansee AC The Drovers Team Crackers. (Mainly because it sounded good. )
Many thanks once more BettyBoo3747 for this series.

Met up with Team Crackers and Alansee, for 5 days of fantastic caching around Beechworth,
Myrtleford & Yackandandah. We solved many puzzles, before arriving.
Day 3, we headed out to do the HHS series, and a few others in the area.
All caches were found quickly, and in good condition. Log signed as ACDC.
Many thanks for placing this cache, BettyBoo3747, for us and others to find.

Found on a lovely sunny, and productive day caching with Team Crackers and The Drovers. We got slightly bushed on teh way to this one, but it was a fairly easy matter to retrace our steps and find the right track.
ANother puzzle solved by 6Hinemoa2 and found alongside sorceysal while doing the hoops.
Thanks again BB3747

This was the only one of the 'They Said' series that bogonghazy, sorcerysal and I managed to find during the past busy few days.
I had the co-ords worked out and hoped that they were right. I really like Evince giving me the tick when I solve puzzles. Anyway the numbers proved to be accurate and the cache was found without problem.
It was an interesting night working out the answers. Some of those sayings are so true.

Found on a 2 day road trip with 6hinemoa2 and bogonghazy to complete the Hoop Star Series. These extra caches were certainly a bonus. Solved by 6hinemoa2 it was a quick find and logged.

Homework with my friend, They enjoyed your puzzle... Finally found it and signed the log. Thanks BettyBoo.
Spiffy- and I had a road trip planned to collect some of the many caches in the area and this was one of the puzzles we managed to solve. Made our way to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. Many thanks for the puzzle and cache
Day 2 of our 2 day weekend road trip to Mt Buffalo and Beechworth with my buddy TurnerFamilyFTG. With a lot of planning we solved well over 200 puzzles ready for the trip and managed to get nearly all of them.
Today was spent traveling around Beechworth and Myrtleford finding mostly basketball series puzzles plus a number of great challenge caches that I knew I would be able to meet.
Today we completed the rest of the basketball series mostly in the car with a much smaller bike section this time. I had also solved a few puzzles and also wanted to pick up some challenge caches as well so this was one of them.
This puzzle was solved with a lot of googling and a nice easy find was made once at GZ
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache, the puzzle, the hunt and the fun.

Plenty of easy googling led to 3 solutions to the said what series and again a pleasant interlude from the basketball.
I must have made a mistake here as I pointed 78m into a paddock and I know I wouldn't be going there. Guessing where my error might have been and sticking to my southerly cords, I stumbled upon your hide. Thank goodness you don't hide micros around here!!
Thanks BettyBoo

[:(!] Went for a full day of caching and this was one of them, had the co-ordinates worked out prior to the start of the caching day, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

[Blue][font=Comic Sans MS]With the 4wd loaded with a full tank of diesel, lunches made and tools included to meet any challenge I set the navigation to follow the M31 towards Wangaratta and the surrounding area. Today Square_Pegs and myself left Melbourne in the early hours of the morning....some might call it night time but we're hard core and we had a days worth of caching to get through.
This was a good find with a good time searching. Cool puzzle as well. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for bringing me here today.

Huge group assault day, completed a heap of caches in the area. There were loads of laughter and fun had by everyone. Thanks to all the cachers who spent time in putting out all of these caches. TFTC
#5446 We quite enjoyed solving these puzzles as many of the quotes come from some quite amazing historic figures, some of them we weren't aware of but they were quite funny (we particularly like Churchill's quote). Once the numbers were crunched it was just a matter of making the find whilst out and about on a glorious autumn day. Fortunately this cache also served as our lunch stop where not only lunch was had but cake and muffins too.......mmmmmm cake! Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the puzzle and cache. Cheers [^]
Out doing the HSS series with the SNAFUians and pick this one up on the way past, tftc BettyBoo3747
