So today I thought it was about time I wandered up and went for a walk and retrieve this series of caches. Although I didn't even try and get the last couple as there were muggles around. But overall was a nice walk albeit very noisy from the highway. Nice quick find on a very busy road.
Today we headed out from Sorell to find a few caches. We couldnt go very far as our car insurance was a drive less pay less deal which runs out on Saturday and we only had 50kms left.we finished the day today with 6km for tomorrow. Great planning I think .We found a few challenge caches and went on a nice walk by the freeway. We found all the caches that we looked for which was a bonus. Nice quick find here in the obvious spot. Interesting to read about the train line. TFTC
Tasmania Trip Day 10. For my last day in the Hobart area, I dizzied to have a go at some of the challenge caches in the area. Mostly the YCDIT caches, even though I will be relying on non Tasmanian caches in the most part for the qualification. I managed to get several other caches along the day and for once was not out until the end of the day. I Finished the day with some LABs in the botanic gardens and then went to a local pub in Battery point for a quiet afternoon and dinner. I off to Launceston tomorrow as the end of the trip draws closer.I did not actually see the railway tunnel, but that did not stop me finding this cache here today. Thanks for the cache Tas_Community46046.5 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2015 Ides of March A#312**Albida**
We were here in March, but there were roadworks taking place nearby so we had to leave this one for another day. Today there were no roadworks so we were able to make a quick find. Sorry for the late log. Thanks for the cache wilco!
Very quick find! Thank you. Low find rate today so this was a relief! Last time we came here signing challenge caches nearby we couldnt get this one due to lots of works in the area. TFTC!
Scoot has been obsessed with this tunnel and old railway since I mentioned it to him a few weeks back. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a glimpse of the tunnel, but thankful for an excuse to come to it so we know where it actually is
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Six: New Norfolk to Hobart Airport and a flight home.
Weather: Chilly morning, sunny day.
I’ve deemed this very spot to be the most suitable to leave the campervan while I walk down to the two nearby challenges. Picked this one up on my return. A quick find.
Thanks to Tas_Community for keeping Wilco’s cache in play here.
It’s officially a mega.

Upon coming back to this cache For the second time I spoke with the owner of tunnel hill property and he invited to go look at the actual and omg impressive, they were very considerate and only asked that we close the gates we needed to go through, very memorable, thank you for this cache.

Found with Mtrax on our first day in Hobart! The weather was overcast, but the rain held off! A nice cache here - thanks wilco.
Finally, after purchasing a ticket in November last year when the fairly cheap fare to Tassie was even further reduced the time had come to travel down and cache in a brand new state! This was a quick interim find on the way to some of the YCDT challenge caches.
A quick find while visiting Hobart.
Thanks

Heading home after doing some grocery shopping and decided to grab this on the way. Was a quick find but cache was out in open and does not appear to have a magnet anymore. Log is also a bit tattered but still useable. Signed the log and replaced ina little less visible place where I think it probably lived with its magnet anyway. TFTC.
A lovely little drive by on a road I haven't been on for a while TFTC Tas_Community

RIP Wilco
Nearly got to go on a private tunnel tour from one end once. Pity I lucked out because it would have been very interesting.

Hi there wilco.
We found your cache **"Tunnel Hill"** at 9:47:00 L today. (This makes our grand total 18711).
Our primary aim today was to find "Look at the Time, Son!" (GC16VP4), and then to find as many "next closest" caches as we could before the GPS batteries went flat. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around Cambridge & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
Our cache count was 9 caches today, with 1 DNF's. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Lived in the area for a couple of years and was not aware of this railway so thank you for history -very informative. Found with Hector Penguin.
My first cache is Tassie as I made my way front the airport to Hobart. No longer magnetic, but an easy find. Tftc!
