Wow - how fast is this river running at the moment. So much water!
Now after finding this cache - should I or shouldn't I expose that this cache is stuffed! The co-ords are way out and you have to look up previous logs to find out what to do. Why do reviewers not follow up on NM's logs. In this case it was 8 years ago that it was mentioned that it was on the wrong side of the river? Well if other cachers are ok with the state of affairs with this cache then so be it - good luck future finders - hope you are not too frustrated and waste a lot of time going to the wrong side of the river
Thanks cache_us_if_you_kan somewhat for placing a cache and then not maintaining it.

By our reckoning we were still 43 metres from where the cache should have been. The Gwydir was raging and by now the cache is probably somewhere near Walgett. Perhaps the cache should be renamed "Down in the River." Will get it next time.
Fortunately we had read some logs while working out how to get to this one in advance. A straightforward find with the revised coords.
A full day in Moree and a chance to do some sightseeing and try the thermal pools as well as look for some caches on a beautiful day once the morning chill was gone. We headed out in the morning to do the caches, some in town and some out. All trads. A successful caching run.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache cache_us_if_you_kan.

The cache is good thanks to another geocacher. Coordinates still need upgrading though, but I think the CO has made this a leave and forget. Sad! The CO's coordinates are on the wrong side of the river.
Passing the correct coordinates on, which are, S 29° 26.596 E 149° 48.569.
The river is full at present, which is good to see.
Thanks to the person who supplied the correct coordinates, and the person who maintained this.

Stomped through the grass, hoping not to find any snakes, but couldn't find it. Confused because of the faulty coordinates. Will come back another time.

Day 1 on our trip to Wangaratta Mega overnighting in Moree.
We used If's coordinates. Not sure how long ago this cache had seen the light of day but it was well silted into its home with the log guardian very much embedded into the silt. It's contents was an empty coinbag.
All good now maybe until it gets silted in again.

Approached this from the opposite side, a classic cachers amateur move, so I drove away from location like a dog with his tail between his legs. Tftc
Great geocache make sure you wear proper shoes because there's a little walk into the scrub!
Found by Mary and David at 14:30. We failed here when we came through Moree in April, but it seems it was missing then. Great tobe able to turn that into a smile today. Less vegetation here now, but still lots of rubbish. Even some water in the River, but it looks stagnant. Our thanks to cache_us_if_you_kan.
We are on our way to St Arnaud for the MEGA event. We l at left home, Innes Park, on the 9th and made our way to our overnight stop at Goondiwindi. Today we are going from Goondiwindi to Bourke via Moree. Arrived near here and parked and walked the short distance to GZ. Quick find. TFTC zapzipzappa.
Thanks to reading previous logs got the correct coords then no problem tyfc.
Searched a bit read previous logs before wr swam the 40 metres across river. Put in new coordinates and had the .cache in our hands. Tftc
Beautiful spot, thanks pajamateam for the maintenance.

I could not find the cache with the correct co-ords. I am pretty sure I found where it should be by the photo, by the marks on the tree. I have replaced it with one of the empty needle boxes found nearby at a foot of a tree but not the one in the photo. Maybe others will find the original cache. Future finders may want to change the container. There is no needles in the box only a ANZ plastic bag and two pages to keep this cache in play.
Spent over 35 minutes here, trying two different sets of alternate coordinates and widening our search well beyond. Too good for us today, although we did find two black needle cases. Our thanks anyway to cache_us_if_you_kan.
It’s not in a black needle box and the pencil inside of thing is not working but was fun finding
I took the drive out along Chinamans to see what I would find at the end
Aw 'cmon !! [:o]
Where was the scenic parkland,
even a picinic table ??
Just the end of a road full of rubbish
I wandered around anyway,
and thanks to the previous cacher's sharing their version of the coords,
soon found this well hidden cache

Hi there cache_us_if_you_kan.
We found your cache **"Down By The River"** today. (This makes our find count 19444).
Today we cached around Moree. The aim of the day was to cache along roads we haven't traveled on since we became full time grey nomads. Once we've done that we can draw another line on our wall map).
We found 8 caches today (DNF'd 3) .We thoroughly enjoyed our cache raid. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape. (The co-ords are way out though)!
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Drove to the end of Chinamans Lane only to discover the GPS wanted us on the other side of the river. After reading previous logs, we used the same coords that other cachers had and the cache was soon found. Strange to see a 6 cylinder engine block in the river bank. TFTC cache_us_if_you_kan
Used the other coords. Thanks.
Day 18 of our caravan trip going South from Queensland. Stopped at my birthplace Culcairn , explored Phillip Island and Wilsons Prom, took The Great Alpine Road to Bonegilla and Wodonga.
Spent 10 beautiful days in Victoria. Now in NSW.
Driving back home via Goondiwindi.

We came upon your cache, zapzipzappa, while travelling from Moree to Crows Nest on our homeward journey to Brisbane
Used Tassie Treckers coords. Worked well. Cache was wet inside rendering a useless log sheet so have put in a new one

Found using the coordinates from other logs, while staying in Moree on the way to Lightning Ridge
Heading north for the Alice Springs Event at Easter we explored Moree and surrounds using geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find by using previous noted co-ords @ S29 26.596. E149 48.569.
TFTC. The GPS co-ords for this cache need amending . Reading some of the earlier logs gave us the required information for an easy find. The cache is in good order despite the recent rains in the area.
#2747 - Thanks to the previous logs Bruce decided to used running shoes instead of the safety sandals. Quick find after a bit of waist high vegetation.
All part of the fun and challenges on our AroundOz bicycle adventure via
the highest peak in each state and territory while finding geocaches along the way..
See http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/15119
Many thanks to the cache owner cache_us_if_you_can for establishing and maintaining this cache. Could be interesting a night - one wrong step and down you go into the drink.
Previous log with correct cords was a great help.

No thanks to the GPS. Note ours was 80m out so just go with that and then follow the 10m suggestion and the hint. Its there.

After going to the wrong side of the river we read some previous logs and armed with new coords we soon found the cache. The grass was up to our waist not very nice.
[Blue]# 11475[/Blue] Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip on the way to the Qld Mega.
Another perfect Autumn day for caching around Moree with Liz & Bruce.
Not many muggles around and mostly quick finds.
We spotted the better co-ords too before we went the wrong way.
Thanks for the cache zapzipzappa,

Travelling to Stanthorpe for the mega event via Orroroo, Peterborough, Broken Hill, Cobar, Lightning Ridge and Moree. Great to find this well hidden cache and seeing more of this unique location. We were ablle to team up with Roostaman for most of the caches and it was great to find this one. When we returned to our caravan park it was time to soak in the hot artesian pool before going out for dinner. What a great end to a great day. Thanks to zapzipzappa.
Oh boy are we good TFTC cache in good condition. Used TeamKRoss cords, our Garmon out by 9m. Here are our coords S29 26.596. E149 48.569. Desperately in need of a log, we're all writing on the back of the cache tag, and that won't last forever. TFTC!
A find even though the device said the cache was on the other side of the River. As per previous cachers, the log book is MIA

Found it with Geoson. Good hide but the log book is missing. We didn't see one snake but we would have loved to have time to do some fishing.
Arrived into Moree for a couple of days, have set our caravan up in the showgrounds.
We spent the morning searching for caches around the town. Had a muggle with us showing her what caching is all about.
This was like a small tour of the area, we went from parks, cemetry, to river banks .
Thanks for placing this cache zapzipzappa

The GPS didn't appear too happy with any co-ordinates here though we thought we were down by the river on the right side. And with a reasonable sized search area, search we did. Just when we were starting to think this would be a blip in our Moree smilies there it was. TFTC zapzipzappa.
With the new coords put into the GPS, we set off to locate the cache, and Mrs GT54 came across the cache, which by our GPS was 11 metres from the coords. TFTC.
Found after a hint from previous finder and friend. A nice place but a bit tricky to walk to if you don't watch your step. Nice place though

Had a bit of time up my sleeve today so I rode the Geocycle to what I thought would be Ground Zero and conducted a grid-search.
Found cache in good condition about 50m and on the opposite side of the river from the given coordinates.
Lovely spot though.
Next time I am here, I will bring a car so I can CITO.

Found with Just a cacher on an escape from the Canberra cold to visit some friends and family in Brisbane.
Day 3 of the escape and we pulled up to start our search and realized that GZ was out. It was a nice spot so decided to have a cuppa and continue our search. We widened the area and came up with the cache for a *FTF* with Just a cacher.
Thanks for the cache and the area. Added some co-ords for where we found GZ.

Sorry guys, noticed the co-ordinates error after I put this one up, I thought I disabled it, but apparently not. Fixing issue. Sorry to send you all on a wild chase!
The coords for this clearly indicate the cache is on the other side of the river on private property. Nevertheless we spent a good half hour looking around however could get no closer than about thirty metres and didnt feel like a swim.

Went and had a look for it but before we even got there it looked like the co-ords may be out. They place the cache on the other side of the river? We went anyway and had a look around but couldn't see anything. Its very dense grass and had to watch where I stood. E-mailed CO about the co-ords but no response as yet. Hopefully I was just cache blind but will watch to see what happens and re-attend when I can.
