As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. GPS was jumping around a bit and we found a spot that looked like it could have been the hiding place but there was no cache to be seen. Reely looked hard but no joy today
Stopped by here again as the cache had been found since my DNF. But today was not the day and I could not find it - again, even with my PAF! Given the recent DNFs, this may have gone walk about.
No luck here today even though no muggles around in the early morning... May not be a D1=easy to find or I am blind?
Another tricky one but did`nt take us long to track it down on our way through, worth a fave from us. TFTC.
On our road trip home from Palmerston North, taking a scenic detour north and stopping where we could - and not be too obvious in a camper van. Quick find thank goodness!!!
GPS took me to a spot where it looked like a cache could have been? Spent a little time here but DNF...Morrie has gone too.
Pulled in to attempt this hide with Hyjynx, as as she did a quick search around I opened up bag to retrieve something, moments later cache was in my hand, signing formalities shortly followed.
Cheers for the hide NZManna

Got to GZ and at first struggled to see anything of significance. Just an empty yard.
Reread some of the recent logs and then made a quick find. Thanks.

Down working in Levin and as most of Levin I had found I had to start expanding my search field.
Decided Foxton was worth the drive. This was the first stop in Foxton itself and what should have been an easy find took me way to long however in my defence it was dark and just starting to rain.
I eventually had my hands on the cache, I am sure some people driving past were wandering what on earth I was up to. Maybe the drizzle was enough for them to concentrate more on the road than on me.

Third attempt on this one, now not sure why I didn't find it previously! TFTC NZMamma, #8083
A mission was needed to complete one of the last few licence challenges on Rangitoto Island, so a passing comment to C&D at an event and this mission was soon planned. We nearly achieved what we set out to accomplish, with only 1 more cache to find to complete the challenge but that was due to miss-reading the fine print on the challenge page.
So with the mission lasting 48 hours we amassed a great set of numbers, 317 caches found, just over 1200km travelled, about 7 hours of sleep, C&D finding his 180th earthcache, completing the KAS powertrail in under 3 hours and finding numerous amazing geocaches. A lot of fun was had along the way, and some great memories were created. A big thanks to everyone for placing all the caches along the way, this mission wouldn't have been as much fun if they weren't there!
Didn't take too long to find this little guy, thanks for the hide.

Well another mission down the line in what HKCB and I were expecting to be another large caching weekend where numbers were the target, Sleep was for the weak, OCD=commitment , and petrol was a must. We left home at 6pm and headed straight down here to start what was going to be a long couple of days, so with much planning (compliments of HKCB) and a good supply of nourishing caching supplies in the back.
With a total of 1250 kms (just a short drive) and 5 hours of sleep we were definitely going to earn our rest by Sunday evening when we got home. Oh, we even managed to attend an event along the way and meet fellow cachers from the area while in Wanganui.
This was the one hundred and third for the day, the one hundred and seventeenth for the weekend. Having just finished the nearby KAS Trail it was nice (sort of) to get back to a bit more regular caching. This was a nice quick find by torch light
Thankfully both HKCB and I enjoy caching through the night, well we have had plenty of experience of it, especially as we are both working on individual challenges, mine being the DGSc Challenge and includes the Night Caching elective.
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

I was travelling from Wellington to Whanganui and had targetted a few drivebys to grab on route.
Wasnt sure what the lights were being refered to but found the cache quickly enough. TFTC

a strange one - not sure what I was supposed to be searching. Searched for a while where the gps was pointing but no luck.
A quick find with TregearP.

Found during a day out in the Manawatu/Wanganui with Fozzmiester. Managed to mop up the KAS trail in just over 3 hours, averaging 30 finds/hour. With that many quick finds under our belt we continued on for a little longer to bring up 146 for the day. Thanks to the COs who placed all the caches we found.
My second attempt at this one, but it looks like it was missing last time. A very quick find today, but the cache was in plain view as something is no longer there.

The lights were on when we stopped by, mid morning on a sunny day. Found quickly by team geocher Mr. T before I even had chance to start searching. Tftc.

No sign of this one. And we looked Reel hard (pun intended). Maybe it's gone??
Oh dear! Staying in Foxton for the night on a bird watching trip from the UK and this was near our motel, but search as we might couldn't find it, which was a pity as one of the party was interested and we failed to impress!
A quick detour to Foxton, for Ms KR to visit the Flax stripping museum. Couldn,t make head nor tail of the hint until I read the fence. Ha. A quick find after that. Thanks.
Time to head home, next stop Martinborough.
Thanks for the hide.

Found this one on our last trip to Wellington but must have forgot to log it. Sneaky hide.
Took a bit of searching to find this one but nobody around at this time on a Sunday and kept an eye out for cars passing by. Great hide, TFTC
Out for a day geocaching with the Geocaching Grandma. Quick find. Always glad to come up with quick finds when it's a muggle-rich zone like this. TFTC
#1085 Out on a mish to Kimbolton with Nic-Jay and collecting some caches on the way there and back. This one took a long while to track down- finding it in the dark and not looking wide enough (to see the obvious hint object) made it more arduous than it should've been. Eventually got there though and with only one spider encounter- woo! TFTC.
Out on a road trip collecting caches on the way to and from an event in Kimbolton with Skaga. Can I just say that I really don't like spiders and we found a really good one tonight! It made us both a little more hesitant about hunting for this cache. It proved a tricky wee thing to get as well. We got there in the end though. TFTC
What a beautiful day to head up to Wanganui for a weekend of caching. Headed off at lunchtime and continued until the sun went down. Great day and a lot of excellent caches in this part of the country.
Quick find with this one and hint lead me straight to it as GPS was all over the place. TFTC

Been wanting to stop and grab this one for a while but never seemed to find time. House bus for sale parked close by in the yard gave a good excuse while I signed log. TFTC.
Found on the way home from orienteering nearby.
My kids had found this one before, but they couldn't remember where it was.
It took a while to track it down.
Thanks.

Had a bit of trouble with this one at first but had a look from another angle and there it was.
Had me looking for a while so thx for the helpful hint! Found after few mins, tftc
I failed to find this cache back in November. Having noticed there were few other DNFers, I decided to give it another try this evening. It still wasn't an immediate find but I got there soon enough.
Cache number 13 of a 40 plus caching road trip on a soggy manawatu day. Managed to score a half day off work. This one was a quick find. So many nanos in Foxton. TFTC. Found with Capperz and Hunterhillson.
Afternoon of cache hunting with Capperz & Spudnz. Cache 13 of 45. Nice n easy find TFTC.
2nd try and there it was. Not sure why I could not find this one before?
Many of the sign boards had been removed so perhaps this made it easier.

#7258. Thought we'd stop on our way in to Foxton. A muggle(?) in a car passed us a couple of times and seemed quite interested in what we were up to. I wondered if he was a cacher. TFTC.
We parked on the west end of Purcell St, outside the Turks factory. Well worth stopping there to check out the letter box!
Tricky crossing SH1 as the cars really speed round the bend travelling north. Took a few minutes to track down. A muggle in a car seemed to be watching us, luckily he drove off. TFTC.

#5273. Came during the day. Parked on Purcell St and walked round for a quick look. No lights at this time. Replaced as found. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Checked and found Emvy Us must of had long arms. Found inside the fence Please geocachers at returning to correct place. Put back in the right place. Sorry to those that spent time looking even I couldn't find it as it had been moved.
I need to visit through the day when business is open as I couldn't find hence if may have fallen off as it has in the past and be in the weeds that have grow
Spent 20-25 minutes looking for it, without success, whilst en route to Wanganui for weekend. Life's too short to spend any more time than that hunting for a cache!
Quick find with drawp on our day in the Manawatu. Took a moment for the lights to come on...! TFTC
2.15pm. Thank you for the new log. A moment or two to find.
Thank you. David and Noeline.
