maybe this should be archived as it's not been found for almost 1 year with multiple dnf's and 2 maintenance request and owner not shown any interest in fixing it.
Found away across. Trecked across following coordinates. Lead me to a big pile of mud. Did find a place where kids have been hanging out in the center. Was a fun mission though.
As I live nearby and happened to be in the area and I did a cache check and noticed it's gone. So it needs maintenance.

Yep! Please check this one soon... I've been watching and waiting for this one
3 DNFs.
Time for a cache check here. Great location, it would be a pity to lose it.

A scramble around in near darkness probably wasnt conducive to finding a cache in a location such as this but we did sight a most probable GZ whoch caused our sin to exclaim "I've got it!" quickly followed by "oh wait, it's not here."
Decided to head out west today looking for two or three caches. In the end I got three, but also had a loooooong DNF as well which had only been found a week or so ago.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
So I started with the DNF.
Found a way in without too much trouble - after grabbing the gumboots from the boot. Wonder if the water level here is higher than usual after the recent storms? Walking over the City of Blacktown sign certainly got me well away from the water's edge - despite the gumboots I wanted to avoid as much sucking mud as possible.
Once at GZ the search began.
I went around and around and around. The iPhone favoured two spots about 6 metres apart depending on my location. Nothing found at either.
Ended up checking the recent logs, and even later the photos for help. I now worry about the previous finder's teenage muggles.
After 45 minutes went for the PAF - which didn't come back until after I'd left 15 minutes later empty handed. And the PAF had no help anyway.
Hopefully I'm just really blind, or the storms added extra camo and didn't just wash it away.

WOW - what an adventure! Got busted by some teen muggles on bikes while half way across on my make-shift 'bridge' asking what on earth I was doing - then the storm hit out of nowhere TFTC
Mission and a half to get to but heaps of fun at the same time. Up until the point I realised I forgot my pen -.-
Oh well I had fun finding the cache
Oh well I had fun finding the cache
This cache too way longer to find that I expected, and involved almost circling the "island" to find a suitable entry point to avoid getting my feet wet like KRS in the previous log! Once I found an way in (from the far side of the "island") I delicately hopped across and picked a path towards GZ. Not really sure how they mow the paths of grass here, but it certainly gives it quite an interesting effect. At GZ I circled around for a couple of minutes before spying blue clips of the container. Cache in good condition, signed log and replaced, retreating the same way I came back to dry land and the path. Quite an enjoyable cache find in the end, although the difficulty and terrain rating can be a little deceptive! TFTC stringy!
12/07/15. 3:42 PM. Cache #2682. Streak day #385.
I came here after a DNF at "Train Spotter - North Parade" in Rooty Hill. The trickiest part was working out a way across, but after my sneakers were already wet I didn't overthink the way across too much.
Once at GZ, the tree cover ensured I would need to walk in circles for a couple of minutes before eventually finding it. Contents were dry enough. Heading back to the car and the plank I used to get back across tipped up - I nearly went in, but recovered. Now my shoes and socks were really wet, so I squelched back to the car and headed off to "Woodcroft Field". TFTC.

Took us a lot longer to find it because we were looking in the wrong spot. Be warned there are plant life that attach to your clothing.
Found. A few different ways to get across.
Found with jacksf who apparently doesn't like swamps lol!

I had to head out this way today so decided to search for a few caches in the area. Parked on the side street and started walking around to work out how to get there. Once I had got to the other side some young kids made use of one of the bridges to get across. I was worried they would interrupt the search but they headed around the island and off the other side on another bridge that was in fact much closer to where I had parked. So with the coast being clear I got to GZ, took a little bit to find as the iPhone wanted me a bit closer to the clear area around the trees than it actually was. Once signed I headed back on the nearer bridge without incident to the car. Thanks stringy.
I crossed a little "bridge" and then had two steps through shallow water to get to the island. The find was then relatively easy.
Tftc. Was a bit tricky to get there but even worse was finding my way back. Better shoes/gumboots may have been an advantage
Jfindit rang me to decided to travel out to Woodcroft Western Sydney... Early 5am Beautiful cool then after 11am feel bit very hot so keep find few caches then zoom to home at 2pm.. Hide well...Thank

Departed the Central Coast 5:am this morning rumbling down the thin black line along with the exodus of tradies heading south, Heading towards the Western suburbs of Sydney ie Bella Vista, Seven Hills and west to Glendenning, Hopefully picking up a few caches along the way
Thanks for the great cache stringy(8D)

Headed out to pick up a few caches, in a near by suburb.
Walked around for a while, before finding access to the island.
Once at GZ, the cache found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for placing this cache, stringy, for us and others to find.

GZ indicated roughly 80m from where I parked, but took the long way round going anti-clockwise instead of clockwise. Nice stroll but still didn’t help finding an easier access to GZ than the one I ended up using. Footwear not the most appropriate for the exercise but at least they only ended up muddy and not drenched. Lucky too my balance was pretty good today. Just as well GZ should remain muggle safe (other than the island’s birdlife), as cache pretty exposed.
Nice location! Did not have pen so did not sign the log but have dropped off a travel bug to encourage others to have a go at this cache
Pretty quick. Lots of helpful hints. TN left kid swaps. Elephant, dinosaur, horse and from. Tftc and the great location. Cache bit exposed.
This one has been on my too do list for quite some time, however, it has always been too wet to access every time I have gone to look. Today it was dry and what's more, the area around GZ had been freshly mowed. A quick and easy find. TFTC!
Had to walk a bit to find a way out to the cache, but got there in the end. Found with Trillian
Found, the looong way around with the GeoNeice......just before a few other cachers turned up TFTC
That was actually pretty awesome. Found it after my sister got attacked by spikes barbs
#2563- I have been to this park caching at other times, so I found my way in quite easily. A quick find once there. Thanks
No. 284
Walked around the entire perimeter before finding the way to the centre, but I enjoyed the scenery. It's a beautiful spot. The cache was in plain sight, so I put a little more camo over it. TFTC!

Turned around a little before finding the best way to get there. Found by little Morgane. Thanks for the cache and greetings from France!

Cache facilement découverte par le team après que nous ayons pris un chemin qui n'était peut être pas le bon. Thanks for the cache from France.
Found with Mummy Mirage and Daddy Ewilund. Thanks for the cache and Hi from France!
A quick and easy find, damn, still hot but the temp is starting to drop finally.
TFTC A quick find after locating the most suitable route to the cache.
This cache will be a little difficult during the winter months.
This cache will be a little difficult during the winter months.
The terrain rating threw me a bit on this on. I started by circumnavigating GZ to locate the best way across the moat. Some recent rain had made it look very boggy. After a complete circuit I found the most likely route in but was again deterred by the long grass, shrubbery and boggy ground. I was deciding whether to plod on regardless or give this one a miss when a sneaky route in without needing to get muddy or attacked by snakes presented itself. Once at GZ it was an easy find. SLTNLN.
TFTC! The most interesting location of the day.

Parked in the car park and went in from the other side as there were some others parked nearby . Quick find once at gz . All is good. Interesting what they have done at this end of the lake TFTC
Wasn't obvious how to cross wet ground, but we managed. Saw the sad remains of muggled previous cache. Found this one easily. TFTC
Parked at the parking area and walked towards GZ. Couple of school kids were lottering near GZ so had to walk around for a bit for them to clear off. Not long to wait, they disappeared and I went in for the search. Got to GZ in short time and in a minute or so, found the cache clearly. Neat little area of the lake. TFTC.
This was a quick find in a beautiful place we haven’t been to before. I’m glad it hasn’t rained for a while or getting to GZ could have been tricky. SL TFTC
What a pleasant place, I had no idea this lake was here. There were lots of muggles out for their morning strolls but GZ and its approaches are obscured from most of the walking tracks so I don’t think we were observed tightrope-walking across the mud. Once at GZ it was a quick find.
After I signed the log I checked my GPSr and it was reading 5m, so the coordinates are not too bad.
Thanks for bringing us here stringy.

Managed to just keep my feet dry getting to this one. I never knew there was a lake here. Thanks for the cache and bringing me here stringy.
As with the drought lately, had no trouble in crossing on dry ground.
Spotting the container took awhile with torch until Cacher trail was spotted. Collected more than my fair share of farmers friends. I can imagine this area being a nightmare after rains. Thanks for being my 999th cache.

Approached the "island" from the car park side and had quick access to GZ. Managed to stay dry and collect zero farmers friends.

Knowing the area I knew to bring the gumboots and the geodogs as a decoy for coming here. So we come across the "bridge" and geodog #2 decides she is not crossing it, so I lifted up geodog #1 and started out to show #2 how it is done. Needless to say I overbalanced, #1 was flung from my arms and did a graceful like somersault and I land on my knees in the mud. Not sure how #2 got across but she is a lot less muddier than me. Haven't had a good stack in ages and thankfully the ground was soft so no bruising or injuries. Was prepared for GZ to be off but I found the cache fairly close to the coordinates SL #989 on streak day #416 TFTC ps there was no TB in cache
Headed out on the georocket for a Blactown blitz this afternoon.
Found this one quickly after reading that the coords were out. I too found the cache 8m to the west.

This is the third geocache at Woodcroft lake over the years and lets hope this one last. Made my way around to GZ by the narrow crossing. Searched around GZ and expended the look before coming up with the goods. TFTCM

A nice spot for some geocaching. I ended up finding the cache about 8m west of where my GPSr wanted me today. Thanks stringy.
Managed to find this one in the dark. I'm amazed at how many muggles are out here at night! I pickup a heap of farmers friends while at GZ and spent the next 10min getting rid of them. TFTC!
We did a lap looking for an easy way. But, soon we decided to test our balance. After that it was an easy find.

I wanted to do this cache last night but when I looked at Google maps I decided it may be a drier option to do through the day.
Glad I did, I found the narrow access quickly and after nearly falling in I made it staying high and dry.
Cache was an easy find, took TB!

Came by and parked. I've been here before, for another multi cache I think. So I hopped, skipped and jumped my way to GZ and stayed dry. Once there I started searching around and around and after 10min, no luck. So with only one other finder, I expanded my search and made the find. SL, TNLN and replaced. My GPSr was showing 8m away, so just keep searching and you'll get there. Thanx again stringy, TFTC.

This one required some fancy footwork to get access to GZ but with that behind me and of course after contending with the noted farmers friends the cache was quickly in hand.
Thanks for the hunt stringy
