Since I last checked this cache council have carried out a large planting programme and effectively rendered the site unusable and in addition the cache has disappeared. Regretfully have to archive it. Happy caching (elsewhere!!)

This one eluded us today. Looked high and low, found what we thought was the correct location but no joy. Last reliable log 18/08/17.

25-Dec-16
Thought I'd come early on Christmas day before the dog muggers visited but they beat me to it. Had a dog sniffing around me whilst I was trying to sign the log then I had to explain to the owner what I was doing here. Great camo once again Nottinghamers, missed it the first time but then a through look soon had the prize in hand. A favorite point from me and TFTC Smile

03-Dec-16
Another tricky one from the Nottinghamers. As a visitor from the Sunshine Coast I am beginning to understand why you have a reputation for placing testing caches. TFTC.

Quick find by geoboy at GZ! Very clever hide, we are having a lovely bike ride along here today, made better by some very clever GCs! Thanks so much

16-Nov-16
Another previous DNF turned to a smile today. Some days are just better than others. Wink

It is amazing the difference time can make to an area too. Not much sign of the mulch that was here on my last visit.

This was a nice quick find today. Cool

This one eluded us today. Oh well, maybe we should try with a geo-mutt in tow or at least when it's not so busy. Saturday afternoon is not a good time to have a really good look!

Another great hide, thanks for the cache!

21-May-16
The sin had set before I approached the search area but there were still muggles walking their dish lickers along the path.

I had to use the torch app on the smart phone to search between muggles and I had searched the same spot a couple of times before I actually spotted the cache.

I then removed the item to the nearby seat so that I could extract the log. I had to find a twig to do the final extraction but I got there in the end.

I wonder what the passing muggles thought I was doing?

TFTC.

Ooh yes. Very sneaky. Nearly gave up because it was so hot. Decided to allow myself to use the hint. Glad the hint required some more thinking because I always feel like a cheat when I use them! TFTC

03-Feb-16
Some times while doing a cache I imagine what the CO went through to place this cache and at what time he did it so that no muggles saw it, loved the hide and the idea that went into it. TFTC and yep another fav point from me.

Out doing some caches before going home to Brisbane. A nice large park and on this morning , many people walking their dogs. Got to GZ, and after a short time, it was found. A interesting placement for a cache. TFTC

Photohotshot and I returned this morning, after a week of thinking and dreaming about this cache stumping us last week. Happy to say we had our heads on straight this week with a few ideas in our heads of where to look again after reading through some comments and with the clue singing in our head. Thank you Nottinghamers for the awesome hide, we enjoyed it thank you! A favourite point from me! Told you we would be back! Wink

Braved the on and off wet weather this morning and met up with a fellow geocaching mum photohotshot, with the little miss geobub tucked into her pram we set off to grab 4 caches this morning. This was the third one we came to. Tried to find this one after locating 2 others along this walking track, we searched for about 20 minutes and decided to go find the last one we had on our list for our morning walk. We pondered while walking and came up with a few more ideas. About an hour later we arrived back with fresh ideas & eyes and were determined to locate. Little miss geobub decided to take a nap right before we arrived so gave us lots of time to locate in between muggles. Searched for another 20 minutes and came up empty handed and more determined to find next time. We tare here every week for pram push so we will keep looking every week until we find it, we will not be defeated!! Cool

20-Jul-15
This one beat me for the second visit this week..... feeling frustrated.... Don't worry little cache I will be back to find you... you will not beat me Razz

18/7/15 whilst the son attends a scout event down here I thought I'd grab some caches. I couldn't pass up this one so close to the last one. A short stroll along the path had me at GZ but I could find the cache. A re-check of the compass and I was a little off and then something jumped out at me. A move here and a jiggle there and the cache was in my hand. Thanks for another great hide. TFTC

09-May-15
On my way out this morning it was a tad busy here. An hour or so later and everybody had gone home. Big Grin

I made my way towards GZ and began to hunt. I did find a spot that looked promising, but no cache. The area has been mulched recently so if the cache was where I was looking it may have suffered. Sad

The nearby causeway was jsut above the tide line today. Smile

Either way I did not manage to locate it.

Up from Canberra and found with Rapidlywild on a two week geomission around the Gold Coast and, of course, for the MEGA Big GrinCoolBig GrinCool

The Mega had come to a close and the fun had finished so we were back on the Gold Coast. Our energy was low so we decided we'd have a cruisy day of caching around the area.

This one took us a fair bit of searching. We actually checked the camo but didn't see the hide so moved on to checking the many other things around the location. It wasn't until I was down on another level when I saw something suspicious sticking out the side of the previously checked camo. Went up and checked and what do you know....the cache!!! Smile

Thanks for the sneaky little hide, the Nottinghamers Smile

08-Apr-15
Back on the Gold Coast today to continue caching. The holiday is starting to wind down in preperation for the long drive back to Canberra.

Today we found alot of caches from Nottinghamers who I must admit have some very creative hides Big Grin We had a wonderful day out and about collecting caches and placing our stamp in the log books.

This one took quite a while for us to find. We looked at a number of items and both of us had out hands on the cache a number of times without even realising it. specimenX took another look from another angle and noticed something we both missed. Sneaky Sneaky.

Thanks Nottinghamers for placing this cache for us to make a find on Big GrinSmile

Decided to follow the river for a few more caches and this was the next one.
After a small search the cache came to hand.
Lots of people walking their dogs so had to wait and search in between.

13-Aug-14
Another fun spot, Havana had fun on the dog agility area. We found this one nice and easy. Not too many muggles. Although we did find some car keys and also the owner. Thanks for the cache.

12-Aug-14
I must have looked or not looked properly in the right spot five times before I made the find. Even took my thongs and jumper off for a look down the nearby river bank because my phone GPS said it was down there. Well I didn't find anything resembling the clue down there but did find a pretty green diamond python curled up under the fallen tree branches. It didn't mind me it was enjoying the same sun out today, I decided the cache could wait for another day if it was down here, went back up to the top and mad the find. Great cache, another fav point from me. Cheers

15-Jul-14
More creative crafting from this reliably interesting CO. TFTC.

28-Apr-14
Had a little wander while checking out my own cache nearby. Target was found after a brief search. Glad I didn't try to find this cache after school hours as I'm sure it is just a tad busy. Not a soul in sight today. Dropped my pen somewhere along the line so couldn't sign the log although I did take a pic of sheet if required. TFTC

24-Apr-14
Easy find!!!! How often cachers say that and it ends up taking us forever! But today we came at the cache from the right angle and spotted it straight away...and there was nobody in the park! The caching planets were surely lined up for us here. A really neat hide, TFTC Nottinghamers.

25-Mar-14
I found this a couple of weeks ago and logged it using the iPhone App, I have just noticed that the log mustn't have gone through. I love this parkland area and I took a while looking and my Muggle friend "Suzie" spotted it before me! I was looking for something else in another spot. She really wanted to abseil for it, Im so glad we didnt need to

23-Mar-14
We went down to the Gold Coast for a bit of a road trip. Had my hands on the container without realizing. TFTC

20-Feb-14
Out to collect a few caches on this wonderful evening, when we entered the park it was very late but still found two people just leaving the exercise area. Good time to exercise I suppose, cool of the evening has to be better then the heat of the day. Geo-daughter look at this one and missed it so we stepped in to show her what it is all about. Visiting from Newcastle to attend a funeral, found with my brother frayeromm, TFTC Nottinghamers!!

A slightly unusual sight today, with a family walking their cat. They didn't have it on a leash (not that I am sure you would walk your cat on a leash anyway) and it had disappeared into the trees and wouldn't come back. Somehow they managed to lure it out again, and were soon on their way. With the vicinity clear I was able to start looking and soon located this nice little hide. Thanks to Nottinghamers for the cache.

23-Jan-14
The hint helped with this one clever hide once again TFTC

17-Jan-14
Well I had read the clue and thought I knew what I was looking for. Correct. But which one! Nice little hide. Found within seconds. TFTC. SL.

20-Dec-13
By now the light was fading fast and we didn't have torches. We tried to look but frustratingly couldn't see enough in the gloom. So we'll just have to come back!

Ms Wig was very keen to find another new Nottinghammers cache, so we set off to find this one! At GZ we searched quite a few spots that revealed nothing, then we found the cache in true Nottinghammer style!!

Thanks Nottinghammers, you are yet to dissapoint us!!

07-Oct-13
Not sure what to expect for this one thankfully it was a quick find for us today TFTC

22-Sep-13
We had found the first cache in this great park a while ago. This time we blended in nicely as we had the geomut with us. Mr.Herbz saw something suspicious as we neared GZ and Bingo! There was another sneaky hide. TFTC Nottinghammers.

26-Aug-13
Another well crafted Nottinghamers cache and another enjoyable walk. Made use of the bench to do the paperwork.

25-Aug-13
We had gone wrong somehow on another cache. A Puzzle!! Aargh!

And we had to have a cache for today to keep up the August Challenge so we thanked Nottinghamers for their hides and headed here.

It was muggle central with dogs and owners all over the place but luckily not near GZ.

I took a bee line for a good looking GZ location but found it was a bit out.

Readjusting my sights I quickly spotted the great hide and had the cache in hand and sitting on the bench watching the world go by in under a minute.

Signed and returned safely I headed back to the car with a smile on my face and the map.

Thanks Nottinghamers. TFTC SL

Our computer is acting up so I'm logging this 'in the field'. Another clever Nottinghamer cache. Well done! Co-ords are good and led us right to GZ. A decoy had us mystified at first but not for long. Great work. I'd forgotten a pen, but as I'm one of the people who says: 'who goes caching without a pen'!!, I made the effort and walked back to the car for a pen so I could sign it properly. An enjoyable caching experience today as part of the August Challenge. Thanks Nottinghamers!

Caching for the second day in a row with my good caching mate Roostaman, who was still staying nearby, and also with Poynts95. We had no list, just went where we felt like caching, enjoying the day with some great company. Some great caches found and many fav points will be given out. Thanks to all CO's for hiding and mainaining their caches.

Top hide here, and very much deserved of a favourite point. TFTC.

# 6232 Found on our 2013 winter escape trip to Qld.
Met up with Blacklegend and Poynts95 once again and had more fun finding caches.
Not many muggles around here today and another quick find logged and off again.
Another day of the 31 day challenge completed as well.
Thanks for the cache Nottinghamers,

A quick find here. Smile
Thanks for the cache.

15-Aug-13
A cache for today. I bundled my dog into the car so that I could attempt to blend in. She was definitely needed as it was dog walking, training etc time. Another enjoyable Nottinghamers cache. Thank you.
PS I'm most impressed with Bristracker's cache repair kit. I only just managed to remember my pen and glasses and not to loose either in the process of cache discovery.

Darn, and darn!! A new Nottinghamers cache and we are away from home. Gee whizz! Well - now THAT is something that will draw us back home! Can't wait to come find (we hope) the new Nottinghamers cache. Thanks guys!! Big Grin

We had been invited to a 2 year old's Birthday but I also needed to grab a cache for the day and drop off my mother-in-law at the shops.

"Where is this party being held?" I asked my wife.

"Bert Swift Park" she said "Do you know where that it?"

I not only knew the park from a previous cache find but had also recently read an email about this new cache being published in the park.

After dropping the mother-in-law at the shops I headed over to the park. There was a playground full of little kids, bubbles, party food and about 120 meters away there was a cache.

I fuelled up on cream filled lamingtons to make sure I had enough energy for the long trek to the cache. I trekked over there signed the log and headed back to the party for more fizzy drinks and sweets.

A tough day of caching but somone has to do it.

Thanks for the cache Nottinghammers. Cheers!!

Thought about getting up early to go for FTF but decided to leave it forMonkeyMaker1. I'm generous like that. And lazy. Hint made it easy to spot cache. I think camo had become detached. Not sure my repair job worked. May need checking later. Thank you for a new cache and giving me my 10th find for 10 days of August . Another lovely piece of the cache hiding art by our local cachers Nottinghamers.

Big GrinBig GrinWoo hoo FTF at 6am.Big GrinBig Grin
I saw this one last night right before my head hit the pillow. So I set my alarm for early and thought if it was still unfound I would head out this morning. To my surprise at 5:30 it was still up for grabs, cool. So with a warm coffee, phone and keys I was out the door.
I got to GZ and it was still dark but I brought a torch just in case. I could see a few muggles and there dogs in the distance playing ball. Yep at this hour, crazy right?
I kept the torch use to a minimum and eventually had the cache in hand. Another awesome camo cache by Nottinghamers. As I pulled the log sheet from its container I was hoping it was clean....WooHoo FTF just on 6am. SL and placed it back how I found it.
Thanx again for another awesome cache.
