Cache has definitely been removed by persons unknown. The areas looks to have had a bit of a cleanout. An unremarkable hide so I am archiving to clean out the area.
After another day in the office, this day a different office but the same client, I took the rented geo-mobile on a slight detour back to the hotel.
I stopped by the side of the road and walked up to the cache. At first the GPSr had me passing the actual hide, before it decided to settle down. No tool required to extract the cache. Signed the log and replaced it and returned to the car.

Parked nearby so I could walk to this and a couple of other caches in the area. With good co-ords, it was a quick find, which is just as well as there were workmen nearby. There were workmen every 50m or so on my walk, and I wondered if I should have been wearing fluoro to blend in with the surroundings.
It's a while since I have been in the area, so it was interesting to see the changes.
I was a bit apprehensive about returning the cache to its hiding place as I have been known to bungle and drop it, but all good today. TFTC.

Geo-daughter and I were on our way to have a sneak peak at Gran's house, which is being rebuilt just off Fitzgerald Ave, when I spotted this cache on the map. Nice and easy one, thanks!
6/08/2014 7:26 pm Find #3606 and a quick drive by grab in the dark then I noticed theres a whole bunch more caches nearby. Thanks 2wombles.
A puppy decided to stop to "talk" to me as I sat signing the log to the frustration of his 20 something heavily tattooed owner. When the leash was dropped and the guy stormed away the pup was eager to follow though.
where oh where? Hmmm . . . yep, right where you'd think (if you're looking for something that is). Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Urban caching at its best I love these ones as when tour pressed for tine and need to satisfy you cache craving. Walking to this with gps in hand waitibg for that beep to signal that your within 10 m of it. Heard the beep and my heart started racing. I spied a likely apot and bam the cache was in hand and I walked a little further in case muggles were watching. With log signed and cache returned I was able to carry on woth the days duties. Tftc the log took longer to write than getting the cached, now to gwt kids from school
Our 100th cache in New Zealand and probably the last one. Thank you for this cache and thank you (New Zealand) for unforgettable moments in this amazing country. Hope we'll come back here very soon. Greetings from Poland
It must be here said one part of the team - not realising that the other part had it already in hands. TFTC
A nice quick find. Lots of traffic, but no problem extracting and returning the cache.
TFTC!
TFTC!

On the other side of the world we had an amazing experience while traveling New Zealand. Great impressions, lovely places and nice geocaches all over. Thanks for inventing and hiding. Lemmer
On great tour with Lemmer in New Zealnd we foundamazing spots. Thanks for all of it. Flatrate
Finally we have some time to clean the home zone during a wonderful evening bike tour we stopped here and found this lovely cache. Many thanks and greetings from amok_sebb
Ouch. O opened the door of the car and went splat into the gutter! Hobbled over and put his hand on the cache in seconds, still going ooh, arhhh rubbing his skinned knee and elbow. TNLN SL TFTC.
Hmmm. How many of this kind of hide are there in Christchurch? My tally is only 11 for this trip and this one is virtually identical to another except that the other one was pushed up so far that I struggled to reach it.TFTC - 2/3 for a morning stint caching.
Quick find and neat hiding place. Log is nearly full. Thanks for the enjoyable cache.
A quick find. Had trouble retrieving the log from the container. Thanks for the cache 2wombles.
We found this cache on our 3,5-week journey through New Zealand. What an amazing country. Sorry for this short log, but time is short and we would see so more things. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany. AchSu

One of a number of caches found during a walk around Christchurch today. TFTC.
What a day! I went to use the car but the battery had died. Apparently it helps if you turn your wipers off when you're not using them (or the car) . Son popped over and gave me a jump start but then it was either leave it running or take it for a run. What more excuse did I need.
My wee dog loved his jaunt around the city, which culminated in the maintenance of a cache of mine, a DNF and thankfully a find here. My phone died while looking for the DNF, but after I had resorted to PAF to make sure it was muggled and I wasn't just being useless looking, so I attempted this one from memory. I'd googled it when it first came out and had a rough idea where it would be and just looked where I'd place it. Sweet - a cache for the day, nice!
Soo, home now, car recharged, dog recharged after that exercise, phone recharging, and time for a cuppa (or a cold one) .

Running a bit behind in my logging. Trying to catch up before Mega but running out of time before we leave. Log still to come. TFTC
Wee loop home to collect a few caches, that's what you do when you have a spare hour
Park, run across six lanes of traffic quick find and sign and the another run across the six lanes back to the truck. Nice to know off another cache published for the August streak. Hopefully, I can squeeze another one in before heading home
Number 10 of 11.
Thanks for the cache.

I was on a mission (I got 10 today). I was waiting for our Prado to get a transmission service so put in the miles on foot! This was the last I did on foot before ducking in to Bunrunners for a coffee and cake. TFTC
Made hard work of this by dropping it, but managed to retrieve it easily enough in between passing muggles. Placed it back where it was after completing the paperwork. #5071
Quick find when I was in the area. Like what happened to Ruru_nz, the lid came off in my hands when I attempted to retrieve the cache. Was luckythat the log (which fell out) didn't go down the hole below. The lid on this container is quite loose.
The kids enjoyed finding this. I love these little buildings all over the city. TFTC

Meeting over a little earlier than thought so time to get a couple of caches before heading home. RuruNZ joined me on this visit and found the cache before I did as gps swinging around a bit tonight. People, make sure you put it back the right way.
Joined kiwicampnut for a couple of finds after a meeting.
Got my hands on the container before she did - but ... only the lid came out in my hand. Arrrgh!
Success retrieval of logsheet and container followed.
This conainer is not quite as snuggly closeable as others of its kind - so think about how the next cacher will attempt retrieval when you return it - and when retrieving it be sure to have our hands on both parts of the container. (Now that has you thinking doesn't it!)
Thanks 2wombles for the cache

A busy day ahead and so I thought I could only do one quick cache to keep the streak going for Aug 31 - which one? This one fitz into my plans splendidly I thought and so it proved. Thanks again for keeping the inventory up for the challenge.
Off picking up Mrs KR up from town, so decided to make a wee detour. A nice quick find. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC. It was looking like I was going to miss today's cache. A last minute opportunity presented itself. Now I am smiling.
Thanks 2wombles for placing the cache.
