I have many fond childhood memories of Fairy Park, and have even brought my own geokids there when they were of the appropriate age to appreciate the attractions. The cache was easily found, log signed and all returned for many unsuspecting drivers and tourists to unknowingly drive past this cache. Thanks for placing this cache here and allowing me to indulge in a bit of nostalgia. TFTC.
Miss 5 was very disappointed that Fairy Park wasnt open but we hope to visit again in the warmer months. Swappable space for small items. TFTC
Tftc. Found quickly but lead astray by cable tires & another container hiding on the fence. Cache all good
Found with UncleTom3 while taking my geo-niece to visit the fairies. GPS wasnt working for some reason but guessed the most likely location and UncleTom quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC from Tassie
We took our granddaughter to the fairy park today, which she enjoyed greatly. Grabbed this cache as we left, to mark the occasion. TNL 1960 halfpenny. TFTC.
I was spending a few days in Geelong after attending the Capital City Geobash in Canberra and I decided to do a day trip to Castlemaine grabbing caches along the way. Thank you Whitepaws9 for placing and maintaining this cache.

What an interesting place. Never been down this road before so we're quite thrilled to see the attraction. One reason we love geocaching. Thanks for bringing us here.
Another quick stop in on my way home from Anglesea. Drive through all the time and never would have thought to stop! Nice easy find, very cobwebby but I risked it for the biscuit. Luckily no spiders came out with the cache. Signed and replaced.Thank you!
On a trip returning to Lara to put the van away couldn't resist to stop on a cold winters day.
Cache all good

I made my way onto the range for a bit of fun, and found it while hiking up the valley in search of the mythical paper clawed Velociraptor.
After a successful hunt, what better way to celebrate than with a bit of childish frivolity? So I knocked off all but one of the remaining Fun For Kids caches I hadn't yet found.
Which popped me out here, at the southern end.
We holidayed in Anglesea throughout our childhood, and visited all sorts of attractions when it wasn't beach weather.
Anakie Fairy Park was one of these, appealing more to my younger sister. Not the cheesiest place we went to throughout the years (that dubious honour belongs to a long gone donkey farm on the Bellarine Peninsula), but possibly a close second.
I still recall it was a fun day out, though.
Thanks, Whitepaws9, for the quick drive-by find and evoking childhood memories.

Found after getting my tyre replaced. quick find. found after doing the nearby challenge trail in geelong.
Left with Mogni the day before Christmas to go down to Mount Gambier for Christmas Day. Then on the 27th left for Victoria. Plan A was to go to the Ottway Rangers, complete the Geo tour in Ballarat and then head to Geelong and take the Queenscliff ferry over to Sorrento then grabbing new LGA's on route to almost the New South Wales/Victoria border and the old 2001 cache near there. Also attending a community day event, a CITO and a couple of other events as well. Then head in to the high country and come back to SA in 11 days. Things didn't go to plan. Turns out that one of my almost new tyres was defective ( side wall blown out ) and blew in the ottway ranges on a narrow road in the rainforest, Drove to Melton to stay overnight and get a new tyre there, tyre machine broken and the other 5 tyre companies not open so off to geelong for a new tyre ( and some caches on the way and in geelong ) . The event we where going to attend in geelong didn't turn out, he was late by ALOT to his own event. Then to ballarat to same day since we had a b&b booked for the next few nights. Planned on getting the ferry at 1200 and ended up on the 400 pm ferry but we did attend a event and CITO in geelong. Then we drive into the rear end of a thunder storm with forecast 20 mm dropping for the next few days. Cancel the high country and change targets to letterbox D/T for fizzy grid only using letterboxes and same wirh the multi fizzy grid plus fizzy grid only using victorian caches plus any challenge caches we where near. Plus getting a few more victorian 2001 caches. And finally any caches that had 40 more more favourite points. Only got soaked to the bone for a couple of days but the water on the tracks was noticeable. On the return home tried to get the rest of the missing LGA's around the Melbourne CBD i missed in the last mega. Still a fun trip was had if not the planned one.

On a Christmas Holiday with sir_spectre, visiting family in Mount Gambier and then on to Victoria to visit some new places as well as some old haunts.

Found quickly but be careful if you have geokids as this is close to road. Pencil needs sharpening. TFTC ️
Left a trackable that we found at Harcourt near Mount Alexander. Thank you
On the way home from Ballarat, last minute decision to find a geocache! Passing at the right time. Nice easy one to get back into it.

Heading done to Geelong this morning for the 2 events that are on in the area today and then the 2 events near Ballarat tomorrow.
I left home nice and early to hopefully find a few caches in the morning on the way down.
Continuing along backroads that I have never travelled on before I made to the base of the Brisbane Ranges NP.
Now this is a place I must come back to but that is for another day.
Now I don’t know why I never took my kids here when they were younger, maybe we just did not hear about it back in the early 20,s to get them out here to have a look.
Soon located the cache and onto the next one.
Thanks Whitepaws9 TFTC.

There is a detour on our normal route to Ballarat.
It's not necessary to go via Geelong but hey, we're geocachers...
After leaving the Geelong Ring Road we headed cross country via a few selected locations on our way to ***Ballarat GeoTour - Event #4*** in Buninyong.
This was our first stop and +Wife managed to get me within a few metres of GZ. [^]
The cobwebs on the clips attest to the amount of time since the last log here.
Brushing them aside the cache was soon accessed and the log signed.
Thanks for the cache Whitepaws9.
I must admit to never having visited Fairy Park but then I grew up in Western Australia.

We haven't been out for a while, after dropping kids off to a scocamp we are off on adventure. Was a quick find. Loved going to fairy Park as a kid.
Headed out today after being released from regional lockdown. Cowgirl_101 and I were hoping to complete the Fun for Kids trail which we started back in 2018! We got fairly distracted along the way and completed a few extra caches.
We stopped here to admire the fairy park and the giant gnome. Then noticed Humpty Dumpty too. Also noticed there was a cache here.
Thanks for the cache Whitepaws9, it was a quick find. LS

A cool Sunday afternoon was a great time to go and do some caching a little further from home. We have passed by this cache many times on the way through to Daylesford. We have been concerned with the lawlessness of the town (sorry bad Dad joke). A slightly different cache container to the ones we have found in similar hides elsewhere. The traffic passing by was not too numerous, which enabled us to retrieve the cache quickly and return it to its hiding place. The cache was in excellent condition.
Out caching today with Stemicmitsar to pick up some caches that we had been planning to do for months now........ scratch that I mean years now. And with a quick message to me yesterday quickly changed that.
Either way thanks for the cache and the quick adventure.
Either way thanks for the cache and the quick adventure.
With The ring of Swiss cheese coming down we could now catch up with our Metro Mates, so once again I teamed up with Omegaman1971 and headed to the Geelong area to do some of the many labs and several caches in the area. We had a great time exploring the area. Today We started in Geelong but got a little frustrated with suburban caching so we headed to the Brisbane Ranges to do the Fun for kids trail.
This was one of the caches we found today. Been a long time since I was here, some 20 years ago we brought the kids here.
Thanks Whitepaws9 for the cache.

Found on the way from Leopold to Melton during my motorcycle holiday in Australia.
Day 4 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong. As you do.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - Anymules. but we were joined by almost local cacher Bushfire for a lot of the escapades
Today we made our way from Geelong up to Bendigo where we would be staying for the next four nights.[^] As we were taking a new route for both of us we just had to stop and make a few finds along the way. A quick park and grab whilst passing.

Found this morning on our way to Daylesford. Beautiful morning, happy to have finally found this after driving past many times. Many thanks for the cache.
I had the day to myself today and seeing as though I haven't had a chance to do much caching this year I decided to head out to an area I hadn't cached in before but also gave the chance for a bit of a walk. I didn't realise there were so many caches around Stieglitz but plenty of options to choose from and plenty to come back for the next time.
I've driven past this one a number of times over the years but have never had the time or chance to stop safely. Today there was nobody around as I walked back up towards gz and made the quick find. I visited here once many years ago and my kids have visited recently and enjoyed themselves, good to see it's still operating. Thanks for the cache Whitepaws9.

Quick park and grab on my way to Steiglitz. Was planning to do a whole bunch of park and grabs today but was basically dared into doing a bunch of T4 and 5 terrain caches in Steiglitz by another cacher. This was definitely the easiest find of the day. Tftc
My parents brought me here back in 1970 and it looks like nothing has changed. TFTC and the micro trip down memory lane.
Found with Beaker on our way home from a night away in Melbourne for a rock concert. Thanks
Quick find today with FerociousFlea whilst in the area after seeing a concert in Melbourne last night. Nice and easy...

On my way home from Geelong. Parked at Fairy Park and walked to GZ. Definitely hard with all the muggle transport around. I probably looked like I needed hitchhiking! TFTC

Stopped to grab this one while on the way to the Brisbane Ranges.
No traffic around made for a quick and easy find.
All is in good condition.
Thanks Whitepaws9 for the cache at such an iconic place everyone has been to at some point.
Except for us maybe.

This log is to tidy up a mess I made with GSAK . I forgot to apply the template so my finds were published with a nonsensical log.
Rather than try and edit all the logs I post this not with what the log should have been.
My apologies for the confusion caused.
A few days away with Freddo, e.gregory1 and The White Dog Gang.
Fun was had by all. Not too many dnfs
Most logs signed as FETT.
Thanks for all the caches.

Some pretty hot days but great scenery and good co-ords & caches hides made for an enjoyable trip

Found on a short, post-Christmas sojourn to Victoria with Freddo, Team Waldron and thewhitedoggang that involved plenty of driving, cycling, walking and even some boating and wading.
The weather was on our side (albeit a little warm at times), which made for some great caching. There were plenty of varied finds, with some excellent and often tricky hides and and just a few DNFs. We signed most logbooks ‘F.E.T.T.’
Thanks Whitepaws9 for the cache.

Cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for a fun cache guys.
A very quick park and grab on way back to Ballarat from Lara. Only noticed the Fairy Park when returning from GZ to car - amazing! TFTC.
Quick find but my presence was certainly announced with the large dog nearby not liking me being here. He’s a bit like my dogs at home that don’t like anyone in the vicinity of their domain TFTC

My sixth day of a 9 day caching road trip holiday.
Today I had set out to finish what I had intended to do yesterday before I ran out of energy (and comfort levels due to my wet shoes) and find my 11,000th cache. I had the specific one chosen, and coincidently there were many caching trails on the way.
In the end I managed to find 72 today.
Thanks for the caches.

I found myself just as interested in the dwelling for sale as I did the subject of the cache - how odd??? TFTC
TFTC. Quick find after visiting fairy land. Pretty awesome there even for adults no trackable in this cache. But otherwise nice and dry.
Finally, a chance to change my DNF to a smiley! I was passing today with just enough time to stop to grab the cache. Thanks Whitepaws9, took TB.
Found with my muggle brother on our way home to Bendigo from a weekend away at Moggs Creek on the Great Ocean Road. I think he's enjoying being introduced to my favourite hobby! Thank you for bringing us here Whitepaws9 and thank you for the cache
