I decided to do a lap out this way after work and this was my find stop. I have never stopped for this cache before, there was always a fisherman close by and I just kept on driving. Today I had the place too myself, well almost, a Telstra car drove in from some grass and went along, but stopped a fair bit down the road, too far to see. So it was an easy find with a lovely view. Then I got to go over the dinosaur bridge. I used the third last spot in logbook, so will need replacing very soon. Camo not the best either, but does not really matter.
Thanks for the bridge views and quick cache!
Thanks for the bridge views and quick cache!
Great spot. Had a nice walk along the water. TFTC and showing us this cool area.
A quick find with no Muggles about, much excitement after another recent find, off to Walsh point to try for three from three!
A nice easy find today. A great view of the bridge from another perspective. Thanks for bringing me here and the the cache.
Find #: 1,256
Companions: 3 Geokids
Muggles: Yes, some truckies nearby
Weather: Hot summer afternoon
Cache condition: Log fine, container starting to rust
I had been camping with the kids at Soldier's Point, and we were heading home. We stopped off at Fighter World (pleasant enough, with the highlight some flyovers), and then headed back south. I decided to explore so went the longer-route. I persuaded the kids to grant me one cache find for the day, and chose this one, given its view of the bridge (I like interesting bridges, and the prehistoric shape of this met the criteria). There were some truckies parked near GZ, but they ignored us so we returned the favour. I had an idea of the likely hide type, but it still took a little while, particularly as I was confused by a previous finder's altitude comments (it must have moved?). After signing the log and replacing we headed back to the car and homewards. TFTC

What a great little spot. Nice hide, although my GPS made me go the long way around haha. TFTC
Ah, another cache where my extendable magnetic grabber has been incredibly handy! (I'm height - challenged XD) TFTC

Despite a couple of blokes hanging around fishing, this was quite an easy find when their backs were turned. The pelican loitering for scraps kept his mouth shut about our find ! Thanks Team-Tonka.
Found by the youngest GeoFox. She spotted it straight away. TFTF and the view! On our way home from the dunes
Catching up on logging , Apologies for the delay in sending through the logs. An enjoyable find with no muggle issues in between the showers of rain. TFTC Team-Tonka. [1825]
Up in Newcastle to see family. Managed get an hour to find some caches in the area. Tftc
Found it with Tammy07. Took a bit cause we over thought it being the second time here.
This was the Sassy Hippos first cache find. Thanks team tonka for making this cache. It was a beautiful spot and had a great view of the bridge aka brontosaurus. It was an easy find.
Well this one had us looking longer than we expected! Went to the obvious spot initially but GPSrs said we were 4m out. Lucky we had the spot to ourselves (we must have looked very suspicious). Half an hour later, it was time to PAF. Yes, of course, it was at the obvious spot. How did we miss that! SL TFTC Team-Tonka
This was a good place to call in for a last cache on the way home, with no-one around and a well hidden but soon spotted cache. Thanks for a good hide.
We are heading to Newcastle for a few days of caching & to attend the Halloween Event.
We picked up afew along the highway.
After leaving our caravan we set out to do a few caches in the local area around Tomago & Stockton.
A great day visiting the many different locations.
Thanks for placing this cache Team-Tonka

TFTC!! Took a little while to find it. Should have known better. Great little spot. We have been here before but there were truckies sleeping. So glad we finally got it =)

Threw the trusty Geo Cycle in the Geo truck and headed North up the thin black line fairly late this morning to try my luck around and Newcastle and Stockton districts.
Thanks for the great cache Team-Tonka

It was time we paid another visit to Stockton.
We had DNF'd this one a while ago. Back today for a very quick find. It certainly wasn't there when we first looked. A previous log found it on the ground, another found it high and hard to reach and we found it low. This little blighter certainly moves around. Thanks Team-Tonka

This was our 60th find, and first one of many for the day. A great hide. Thanks
Great spot for lunch. Been coming to the island for years and need to find more. TFTC
Had a quick look in the place I thought it would be, but no luck, so I consulted the iPad and searched where it told me to. Searched and searched. And searched. Finally gave up, but decided to look in the place I had originally dismissed. Voila! Just proves that you should follow your instincts!
This place is a truckies motel area. 7 Trucks lined up with drivers preparing for a nights rest. not the quietest of places with traffic just overhead. Found at 10pm. Cache is good condition. Thanks for bringing me here Team-Tonka
A very quick find in the obvious spot, but I also had an idea of what I was searching for, and I'd seen this type of cache and hide before.
But I had never seen the bridge from this perspective before, and I can see why it would be likened to a brontosaurus. TNLNSL TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1200. A wonderful spot to just sit and look at the views. Saw several kinds of boats, including one US-style air boat with a very large motor launching from the ramp. It took off at very high speed once they got organised. The view to the old barracks prompted thoughts of crisp uniforms, polished boots and rules. Found the cache easily enough, and signed as mm. Our thanks to Team-Tonka.
No muggles here today. Great hide. Found with wilsonfam14. Signed log. Cache and log in good condition. Thanks.
Another DNF for us, obviously this group of caches just wasn't meant to be! A hint yet again would be greatly appreciated!
Finished off the series with this cache thanks team-tonka looking forward too more of your finds...TFTC
Picked up a friend at Williamtown and called in to do a couple on the way home, had trouble with this one until my friend asked what is a bison tube, I said it's like a miniature gas bottle, he picked it up off the ground and said "like this?", it's now back where I think it belongs! TFTC Team-Tonka!!
