Logs
Found on a sunny day's caching expedition near Leeston. We came prepared for the requisite maintenance. We replaced the container which was cracked and added a new replacement log also. TFTC!
Yay found it..on the ground. Sadly came ill prepared so signed said napkin. Definitely in need of TLC
Soon spotted the hint item but there was only a lid next to it. I found the rest of the cache on the ground. It looks like something has had a gnaw at it and eaten the logbook! I only had a paper napkin in my pocket so I used a piece of that to write my details on, but the cache needs replacing. TFTC.
After a morning of ups and downs, progress and frustration, I decided to take an afternoon drive in the country and to explore the Rakaia Huts area, a place I've never been before. What a cool locality. I'm sure I'll be back again. I found a few caches along the way of course. Found on my way back towards Dunsandel. Well that's not something you see everyday.... Cache found safe and sound. TFTC, Biggles.
It took a few moments to find. Logbook dampish but still able to sign with LW
Didn’t think I would find this as last 2 logs were dnf but found it super quick. Tftc
Nice quick find while visiting with tmann421 today

Geocaching around Christchurch with woolwood9.
Weather has taken a turn for the worse - lots of rain now and everything wet!
We soon had the container found. SL: **tm/ww NZ**

Yet another beautiful day of caching. We parked on the otherside and walked to GZ. Straightforward find with the help of the hint. Pretty funny to see a tree climbing rock. Cache is all good here. TFTC.

Whilst looking in completely the wrong spot I looked across and spotted it! Phew! Log book a little damp but cache is high and dry.

We decided to go out for a geo caching adventure. Have added a waterproof replacement log.
Thanks for bringing us here and the cache N!mrod.

Always avoided this one as it seemed I’d have to hunt through a hedge and I’m lazy. But not today! Went for a hunt and signed the shiny new replacement log. Thanks.
During our round trip on the South Island we searched and found some caches, this one was also there.
Thank you very much for this cache say

Found it easily. Although got an earful from the owner of the property even though we were on the road side
This was a tough one. The hint was behind a rock so we searched for a rock not up in a tree. Thanks heaps. Was an adventure
Easier to see than get too. A quick find when I was working in the area on a fabulous sunny winter's day. Didn't have time today for anything but park and grabs, esp in my work clothes. All good with this cache. TFTC
Ha ha love it. Canterbury folk love their rugby eh, not sure if that's why the Crusaders do so well or if it's because they do so well that they have so many fans. I took a photo at the airport just to prove my point. Thanks for the hide .
Taking a less busy road to Christchurch and grabbing a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache.
I grovelked under wrong tree before macwatt headed for correct one. Cool construction on side of road. Thanks for the cache
We had branched off SH1 to take.a more scenic route to Christchurch via Lyttelton and passed this on the way. Soon found stamped and returned. TFTC
Out and about exploring more of the CHCH area, and also targetting specific caches for my Jasmer challenge.
On the way to Rakaia Huts area, for a cache that meets my Jasmer requirements, I thought I'd grab this on the way past.
TFTC , the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 6 find(s) of 11 today, making this find #1939

The locals say she's a bit of a cow, but that doesn't stop her from doing her thing

A favourite for both Daisy and for N!mrod's delightful description of her. We wondered if we should have taken some of the comprehensive collection of ladies' underwear we found at the GG Park cache in Ashburton, as a gift for Daisy, but suspect the sizes might have been a bit small. The cache itself was a quick find, although a little tricky to get to. TFTC
Felt very special when I made the find I still can't understand why I was so blind last time.
Thanks

Today I had to work at Darfield in the morning and Leeston in the afternoon so took the opportunity to detour a little so I could find this one. A quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Love the "hooker" can't imagine she conjurs up much trade!!! Had to really look hard for this one, but won a smiley in the end. TFTC
#3530. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Fortunately the weather was fine and sunny on both days. I had allocated about 5 minutes per cache find, maximum of 10 minutes if it was quite a drive from other caches. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Stopped to admire the local artwork. Reminds me of some similar caches in the Manawatu. Enjoyed the irony of this one (pun not intended). But then again, being a Hurricanes man, we think all Canterbury rugby players are like this! The cache itself took a few minutes to spot and access. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for placing it here. Favourite as its one of the few cache placements I still remember three days on.
We were sick driving on SH1, so a short detour with a few caches. Nice one, TFTC
On our way back to Christchurch today and decided to take the more scenic route. You couldn't miss this lady and the cache was soon in hand.
Got some cheap flights a few weeks ago so the plan was to come down for a big run in Ashburton to achieve the 120 in one day and get the gemstone. OMG! We started at the crack of dawn and finished in the dark. Foggy and cool but cleared by lunchtime. It should have been achieved much quicker. We had not really planned a route and detoured a bit. Some of this backfired as we ended up on some long gravel roads that had missing caches and was most disappointing. We got stuck for about an hour on a multi I specially wanted for qualifying for another cache which was frustrating. However, we made it - with a few to spare I believe - but are totally shattered. Too many to log individually so are doing the copy and paste. Many thanks to all who placed caches. What beautiful countryside and we love the fact we could pull over and park safely. Not keen on the many prickly pine trees so many were hidden under. The breeze only got up in the afternoon and it was a lovely warm breeze - not like Manawatu freezing winds even at this time of the year. More traffic on the roads than we expected and they fair motor along. Many thanks for the caches. It has made the whole trip worthwhile.
This is very good lol. Giving it a favourite.

StreetWalker and I are trying to surpass 3,000 finds for the year, so we decided to have a Sunday excursion to the Leeston / Southbridge / Ellesmere where there werequite a few unfound caches. With 28 caches found today, we now have less than 100 finds to make in the next 13 days. So we might just do it .
Not a quick find as we to have an aversion to hunting in hedges with pokey branches. I finally located the cache (by trusting the GPSr) and SW was given the job of retrieving.
I did enjoy the humour behind the hooker, she was quite alluring in her own special way . Someone must have had fun making her. Thanks for making us stop and look. TFTC,

#13524. It's well worth having a cache to bring visitors to this attractive lady. Unfortunately the trees guarding the cache were not so attractive, which made searching tricky, but we got there in the end. TFTC.
Managed to check in the wrong place and land a nice wee cut on my forehead for my efforts. After dusting myself off, so to speak, returned to the correct place and logged And what a sculpture!
First cache of the day. Easy to see alot harder to retrieve. T1.5? Atleast a 2 we think. Picked up a few Kan Tabs for Kidney Kids here aswell. It seems a popular place for drinking. Thanks for the cache
I asked a friend if she wanted to go caching with me today she replied that she did have gardening to do but that that could wait until tomorrow. So it was off down Rakaia Huts way and other nearby environs.
Cheers for the cache.

7255. After a couple of days geocaching in Ashburton with granddaughter Stella (10) we headed home to Christchurch , geocaching on the way. This was cache find number eight of eleven for the day after leaving town. Another diversion off the main road. Took a bit of searching. Thanks. Rodney and Iris.
On a three day geocaching trip in Mid-Canterbury with Grandma and Poppa (Sallies). Now on our way back to Christchurch. This was my nineteenth cache find of the trip. Found after a bit of searching. Thanks for the cache. Starza.
Thanks, wow, I was impressed, lol, this watch I like, finding interesting places, really worth the visit.
Sunday road trip on a mission for an O an E and #1500 quick find tftc
I had not read the cache notes or name as I drove towards GZ.
Thus I was not expecting a rugby themed cache
Of course when I saw what was opposite GZ,
I did have a bit of a chuckle
Daisy waved !!
I waved back
Daisy sure is a 'teat for the eyes' [^]
Cache found, I headed for Leeston
TFTC, mooo !!

This was a cow of a hide. For a simple one we looked in all the wrong places first. Once we moo-ved away there it was, staring us in the face. But with such an icon nearby finding the cache was only calf the fun. TFTC N!mrod, left TB.
We arrived at GZ as a couple, and wandered over to get acquainted with Daisy the Canterbury Hooker. The cache was found and photos taken. Thanks for showing us this interesting location.
First find of the day on our way to the Mega. Not the hooker I was expecting. TFTC
Another cache found today with Woody104 on the second day of our Mega Adventure. Salamat!
We laughed when we saw what was across the road. Dakotacats found the cache, she wasn't very happy with having to crawl to get it!! TFTC
What an amazing experience that was haha. Dropped off a little something for the next person to 'pick up' tftc
