Nice to have a break from the loooooong drive! One of the few smileys that I havent got on this crossing. Easy find.
Find number 13686 at 2:10:13PM on Tuesday the 27 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back. After spending last night at On Top Of The Ridge free camp at Madura we headed west again in the morning, not sure how far we'll get today (but probably just past Balladonia), just driving, caching and golfing A nice quick find as we headed west down the road.**Thanks for placing this cache Poiter.h**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
There was one caravan close by. I approached the tree and already saw the target. Nobody in sight, so grabbed it and went behind the tree to sign. And then the guy stepped out and did some checks or something all around the caravan. I waited behind the tree until he disappeared inside again to replace. TFTC
Heading to QLD picking up a few LGAs on the way. Thanks COs for placing and maintaining
Rain for our first day on the Nullabor - great driving weather reallyThanks for the cache
Stopped for a break and noticed someone looking through the trees and bushes and realised there must be a cache. Checked my phone and I had coverage and had a Quick Look and bingo. Cache is in good order and well hidden but an easy find when you know. TFTC
My final day on the Nullarbor Plain and the landscape was changing as I drove west. Lots of stops for scenery, caches, snax, and a stretch. All in all, it has been a nice drive Met some interesting peeps, too. Only spotted one camel, and the poor thing was deceased After beadling down the longest straight road in Australia, I was so excited to come to a bend in the road Just a short pitstop here for this cache TFTC Poiter.h
I didn't have any phone reception and hadn't expected to be finding a cache. It just happened to be where I was. A flukey find.. TFTC Poiter.h
On our travels we found ourselves heading west and took the opportunity to grab some caches along the way, a quick find amongst the flies, legs stretched and we were on our way, thanks for placing this cache
Time for a lunch break along our drive today, so we pulled into this rest area where a few other people had made the same decision to stop here for a bit.An opportunity to stretch the legs and take a break before continuing on. A quick find at GZ. Thanks Poitier.hDomsky
Heading west is exactly what we are doing. Home to the SW of WA after attending The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide on 29 February. After spending a wet and windy night at Madura Pass Lookout it was time to keep moving. So glad lots of room to bring the van in. A nice easy find but no time for a long break.TFTCI know last night was wet and windy but we are STILL IN a total fire ban. Someone had left their fire still burning so hopefully I managed to put it out.It was only nearly a month ago that the Eyre Hwy was closed due to fires.
TFTC another great little find to break the monotony of the 150km straight drive of the Nullabor.
After spending a few days in Gawler it was time for to drive my mums (well my car now) from Gawler back to Perth. This was day three travelling from Border Village to Norseman on a 5 day 3,100km adventure. It was very bleak and cold morning and had rained a lot during the night. The temp did get somewhat better later in the day. There are hundreds of signs saying do not drive tired so geocaching helped with that.I proceeded to the border check and as i was prepared with completed paperwork the fine man was suitably impressed and and it took him about 2mins to check my car and a quick chat and i was on my into WA. The border man said that nobody ever turns up with paperwork which impressed him greatly.I trucked on across the beautiful scenery grabbing caches. This cache was a very quick find. Thanks for the cache Poitech
On the 2nd leg of the long haul east, Norseman to Nullarbor today. This was our first stopping point for the morning, albeit only brief enough for me to make this find. Many thanks Poiter.h
Found it mice and easy. On way home toBaldivis after flinders Ranges and Solar Car Challenge.
Found as we made our way westward along the Eyre Highway searching for caches that I'd passed by on previous trips. By the end of this drive I'll have found all the caches in proximity to the highway, with just a few outliers remaining for another time. Thanks for the cache Poiter.h!
We stopped here and grabbed the cache. Way too many flies here to stop any longer!
Mr Parko had to park on an angle blocking he view as there was a camper here having a look under his bonnet. Didn't take long to spy the cache. Thanks Poiter.h
Quick find in rest area while heading east.
Thank you Poiter.h for placing and maintaining Take a Long break for us and others to find and enjoy.

TFTC and a nice quick find thank goodness as it was so windy. Stopped for the dump point which was a very popular spot. I’m visiting from the Hunter Valley in NSW
Heading east collecting a few caches on the way. A great way to stretch the legs. Lots of muggles camping here last night
Half the team had to start heading east for their own medical appointments appointment while the other half stayed with their friends in Geraldton. I'm heading down south and had to pick up a few caches to break up the drive. I'm concentrating mainly on adventure labs, virtual's and earth caches as you don't have to worry about muggles as much but I'm also stopping for any that look like as though they maybe a quick find.
I'm not really sure why I've never stopped at this one on our trips across here but this time we were determined to at least have have a look for it. I have been following the CO around Western Australia for the last week or so it seemed like the right idea that we should at least try and find this cache. When I pulled up who there was only one car in the area and he was facing the wrong way while I was retrieving it.I added my name to the log and returned it as found.
Many thanks Poiter.H for setting this one up that we've finally made it to.

Pulled up here and realised we were in for some trouble. A caravan was very set up right near gz. We decided to go in for the kill anyway, and explain ourselves if they asked.
They did indeed ask. As we were the second cacher today to slink over to that tree and try to look inconspicuous. I decided to attempt to lure some new cachers into the sport and showed them a few of our many adventures we would not have experienced if it were not for geocaching. They seemed quite keen so who knows... anyway. Log signed and onto the next one. Tftc

On a big road trip to Perth - Brim, Paruna, Murray Town, Kooma View Farmhouse, Penong, Nullarbor Roadhouse, Mundrabilla Roadhouse, Caiguna Roadhouse, Norseman, Kalgoorlie and Wave Rock. Today we were travelling from Caiguna to 10 Mile Rocks and we stopped here to check out the 24 hour rest stop, stretch our legs and of course to find the cache. We may stay here on the return journey. Mrs Pooky made a quick easy find. TFTC to break our long journey. TNLN.
We're heading west to view the total solar eclipse in Exmouth in April and decided we needed to cover some ground today so we're only stopping occasionally. Luckily this break coincided with a rest area that has a geocache so I got a little more exercise than at previous breaks.
Thanks for find #4396

Good spot for break. Had lunch there but had to sit in car as it was 39C. Flies nearly carried us away. Cache all good
Took a short break to find the cache then back to the long drive along the long straight

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A nice place to take a break and stretch the legs. Enjoyed making the find out this way.
Thanks Poiter.h for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

A quick find. Cache and log are good. (What a shame that some people think that their used wipes improve the ambiance of the area.) TFTC Poiter.h.
A nice spot for us and the geopup to stretch our legs on the way through
TFTC and greetings from Tassie

This is certainly a very long, straight, black road. Travelling from Newman Rock to Madura Pass Lookout, this cache was just waiting to be found.
Had to walk around looking at the trees with great interest so as not to draw too much attention. Found, signed and replaced while looking closely at the greenery.
