Never seen a tree with so many possibilities, but no luck today. Bees were well behaved so searched every nook and cranny (I think) without joy.
I ended up getting an early mark from work, so I took the opportunity to go for a little ride around Maylands and surrounding areas and collecting some caches along the way. I remember stopping by here to this tree a couple of years ago, but could not find it as there were a lot of bees and I had my very young daughter with me, so I didnt really have a proper look. Today was a much better scenario for finding this cache, there were no bees and I could take my time. It didn't take long though, after a quick climb over the tree I found it on the other side. tftc very quick easy find on way home from night shift. What an amazing olive tree. Bet it could tell lots of stories.
We liked the container & the tree but the coords were about 12 metres out for us today. Just choose the most impressive Olive tree. TFTC
Grabbing a few caches that I hadn't found earlier when I started this area. out doing it with mikirst. tftc
Caching with S'n'N before going to the airport. Luckily there is only one olive tree and the cache is obvious when you find it
A very obvious "olive" has been placed at GZ away from where the current bees are resting. Please do not remove the log and place it in another cache. I know it sounds like a stupid request except that the last log ended up in another cache.
17 finds on a family bike ride along the river with ask277 but eventually we had to concede this was a DNF. Lots of hidey holes at various elevations but we found nothing but leaves and bees.
Today was set apart for a geocache outing with the olthomas crew and it turned out to be a beautiful August summers day for a bike ride along the swan river. Looked long and hard for this one but eventually had to concede a DNF Lots of great hidey holes but couldn't find any that hid a cache.
TFTC! Finally managed to get this cache after a DNF some time back with the bees. Had no encounter with the bees today after following a small geotrail into the tree then stepping up to make the find. Thanks MDV. Hope to catch you on the trail again one day.
Huge bee hive with angry bees, gave this one a miss - you have been warned
Almost gave up! Easily found the tree but bees scared us a bit. Found it in the end.
Don't be afraid of heights....!

Unfortunately today the bees were very active. Did have a search on the other side but no luck. Nice to check out a historical tree though. TFTC
Headed north of the river today to run some errands around these parts & of course finding a few caches too! We were hoping for a quick find here, as we needed to start heading home for school pickup but this one took much much longer than anticipated We were nearly ready to give in, but reading back in the logs inspired to keep looking & Jase was the one who found the goods!
TFTC Mickeydv Would have loved to pick some olives as the tree is presently loaded with them... Unfortunately though we did not have time today! Cache was in good condition.

Out with m4yb before meeting me&be for some water wading/swimming. We had bit of spare time so grabbed this one and it was our fourth find on the day.
Thanks for this smiley Mickeydv, great bit of history.

Still had a bit of time up our sleeves before our Sunday wade/swims for went off to find a few caches nearby. So I revisted the site of a previous DNF, and although some bees were still active, I paid them no attention and they returned the favour. Was very happy to make the find here and at last get a smiley! TFTC Mickeydv!
Our first find! 2 x 4 year olds, 2 x 1 year olds, 2 x dogs and their mums!
Probably wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for the agile, fearless geokids and geohubby. I chickened out at the first sight of bees. It was lots of fun for them! Thanks!
Found on a family bike ride with the whole family during the Christmas holidays.
However we also bake doff due to the bees.
Looks like a pretty nasty spot though the tree is awesome.

No luck for me here today, the Bees were out in force and I could have sworn I saw a Joe Blake slither into the base of the tree [?]
Perhaps another day, TFTH anyway Mickeydv

I waz ere, was getting late and this creepy tree freaked me out, skip for now.
I found it. I signed it. I replaced it and I left. TFTC. There are some bees there so be careful
This one kinda freaked the bageebus out of me. I dont usually cache alone and this time I had to deal with snake skins and spiders by myself. But I persevered and signed the log. Tftf
found it with franz n angel! angel brave to get in! and yea.. muggle still there smoking lol
TFTC. TNLN. Had to dodge a muggle smoking and reading the paper. Luckily the tree is big enough to conceal me!!
Quick find before the rain set in
Awesome snake skin at the bottom of the tree

After doing the new GCA cache nearby I came over to find this one in the dark and found it without problems.
Thanks Mickeydv for the cache.

Out on a Mother's Day bike ride with one of my GeoSons. Beautiful tree, went for a great climb in it
Stop #8 on my bus/walk/bus day. But unfortunately DNF here! Firstly, the bees are back, and hampered the search a bit... then a carer from the neighbouring facility came out to have her coffee and ciggie near the tree. She asked me what I was doing, I was a bit evasive as I didnt want to start explaining to someone with limited english... She worried however that I might have been from the council and the tree's days were numbered. I reassured her that I love trees and especially on olive tree planted in 1860.
My brother grows olives in Greece but that's another story!

Found with CrazyLadyLisa, TheMachman, and Knightwood with Knightwood making the find. Thanks for the cache Mickey.
A great Olive Tree, and good find, found after a climb around, thanks, left Geo coin I brought over from England.
Dropped the mother-in-law off after her birthday lunch who lives nearby. Made this one more difficult than it should have been, lots of little hidey holes.
Saw the now deserted bee hive, don't think I would been able to grab the cache if the bees were still there.

In the city for the day while geowife and daughters went to see South Pacific. An afternoon to chase up some caches. GPS had me all over the place so I was guided by the name and had the cache very quickly. Thanks Mickeydv.
Another morning of caching, on the north side of Perth.
Visited some nice parks around the area, and some clever suburban hides.
Thanks for the cache, Mickeydv.

Was a bit worried with how close we might have to get to the bees but luckily it wasn't that close.
