On way back to Melbourne from QLD and this cache has been hard to find on previous visits, but today I had a hairy spider to assist, and the cache literally fell off the bottom of the seat, well I singed the log and replaced as and where found, spider went to other table for safety, Cache is in situ at this place, and in good condition, with room on log for more finders, Thanks for the hide and making me stop here regularly, today it was slightly raining but OK to sit under sheltert
We've had a very poor year for geocaching this year, with fires, plagues and asthma playing havoc with my caching. We have only 77 for the year, our lowest by hundreds since we started. I want to get to at least 100 for the year. We've been in Brisbane visiting my aged Mum. That was touch and go as well, but we made it for a good visit. Now we are heading home, with 23 caches to collect in five days. We stopped in Moree overnight and had a good time at the local club.
Day two, fourth one down. This one was a nice easy grab. Thanks for this one.

Found on a road trip from Canberra to Queensland and dodging the rains on the coast. Nice quick drive-by find. TFTC!!
Had a look in most places a micro could be hiding, but did not look in the right place, I will be back
GreyHams and myself have been targeting counties for some time now and this trip was to be the last of the NSW counties... It would see ALL NSW counties complete!
It sure has taken us through some amazing places in the state as we journeyed through all of the counties, this trip would see the last 23 counties needed of the 129. One again we saw a lot of variety over the four days from the scenic coast, lush green country side, rainforest, mountains and out west to a much drier and flatter landscape.
Counties were our priority for this trip, and an abundance of larges also made the select list, Virtuals, types, old ones, interesting ones and of course DT, if your cache made this list it had a quality that was needed... we also managed a surprise FTF along the way as well!
It wouldn't be a trip without the ladder, or the esky... and good old Qantas happily checked them in with our bags!
Day 1 saw us flying into Ballina, driving North up through Byron, a beautiful part of the coastline where shirts and shoes are optional! After a dash up a hill, it was along the beach to the most easterly cache of Australia, a clamber up the side of the headland for an earthcache and time for a virtual. Driving north to Mooball for our most northerly county and then back down and across to Tenterfield, arriving after a surprise FTF and a long winding drive through the hills where we stopped for the night. Chose our hotel for the man sleeping on the sign, and as advertised, the best beds, and indeed I did sleep as well... the quietest hotel in town where everyone was sleeping and the lady working there the loveliest... and the best Pizza we will ever taste in town!
Day 2 we left Tenterfield with a wave of a local horseman and made our way west to Moree before dropping down and driving to Tamworth for the night. Some unexpected locations along the way had us saying 'there has to be an earth cache on that!' and indeed dropping out of our lists there was and a few extra locations stopped at and enjoyed.
Day 3 was the trip from Tamworth, up to Armidale and back down again to drive across to Port Macquarie before starting our way north to stop in Kempsey. Some interesting caches and tracks, and the good little SUV was the toughest and most reliable of them all for some of the tracks that were lost in the highest of grass and the pollen of the grass seeds that left clouds in the sky as we passed. A trail of challenge caches tested the little car some more and GreyHams navigated us through with ease. The ladder had a work out and some great caches collected for the day with it.
Day 4 we left Kempsey with the plan of driving back to Ballina for our planes back home. Some newer larges had us down some more bumpy wet tracks, some a little more than we could navigate so a short walk to finish. Very tropical with the mountains, even banana trees and so much sugar cane too. A kayak for great DT was indeed a great addition. Also our down fall as the drive was long, the roadworks a plenty and our plane due, it was a rush and many cache changes to ones along the hwy as we raced north for our plane. Just 15 minutes late and watched as everyone else boarded but us. Getting home wasn't so simple, we got to plan 'F' and a journey of planes, trains and automobiles to get us home, but what a great trip!!!!
GreyHams was as always a great companion, driver, navigator, cache finder, planner, ladder carrier, disaster management solver on another very enjoyable trip, NSW counties complete... go team!!! Looking forward to the next adventure!
CACHE DETAILS: A nice quick find which is good on this very warm day! Lots of small piles of grain dropped in here, stopped to look... the yellow peas whole are something I've never seen, sort of cool!

Oh what a trip! We finally bit off more than we could chew but it still somehow managed to end well!
Aquilus1 and myself have been striving on a mission for some time now... to get ALL the counties in NSW. We did the hard ones early actually, via two trips flying to Adelaide and driving to Sydney/Melbourne respectively. The previous trip was a simple Newcastle loop, so....finally the time had come....six months overdue because of Covid lockdowns to complete the last loop: Armidale/Ballina.
Of course, its not just about the counties, we crammed in a bunch of larges, DT, virtuals and even a Wherigo.
Day -30: Qantas screw us over and cancel our Armidale flight.... so a frenzied replan and Qantas agree to fly us to Ballina instead....bonus is that the car hire from Ballina comes with UNLIMITED km's.... this is great as we knew we would exceed the max by about 1200km...not cheap!
Day 1: We fly into Ballina, marvel at the super crap roads and all the people not working, but exercising, without shirts, in and around Byron. So glad my tax dollars support these people! After driving north to scary cow country we went west and made it as far as Tenterfield, but not before we got an amazing surprise FTF on a challenge cache in Casino....happy days! Yet another crazy late night pizza guy, and a lovely motel manager who had the BEST beds in NSW greeted us.
Day 2: Tenterfield to Tamworth, the long way, via Moree. Long drive through windmill country with some amazing walks for oldies and great views of cool mountains.....we said to ourselves "wow, look at that, there should be an Earthcache here that we could log fro the road".... and there WAS!!! We repeated this trick on day 3 as well. Got to love that. Outside Moree we found piles of various grains at the rest stop.... I wonder what that was about.
Day 3: Tamworth to Kempsey, we saw Armidale on Sunday... so quiet, but a great Virtual and a ridiculous journey through head high grass....for someone with allergies this was nuts! We managed a tricky challenge cache series and a multi that required Aquilus1 to go crazy high on a tree.... that ladder was well worth it yet again!
Day 4: More larges and then a great paddle for some great DT. The water at Stuarts Point was so nice, we kept going and going.....which in hindsight maybe wasnt the best idea, but we knew how far we had to get, and how much time we had.... the windy roads then roadworks however messed those plans up. 15 minutes late, watching them start to load the plane we werent on just sucked.... but, the HJ's (and our desperation) fueled the many new plans until Plan 'F', for fabulous, came to fruition.
We made it home, a little later than expected with slightly grumpier partners than ideal.... but we made it! Planes, trains & automobiles in the end..... so glad we didnt have to walk from Goulburn!

Quick find on day 11 of our family trip from Canberra to Broken Hill to Lightning Ridge to Canberra. It's no longer a micro so that might change where you look....TFTC.
Travelled from Morree to Tooraweenah today, picking up along the highway as we can towing the caravan.

The mini rats have been away on holidays with the Rats on another fantastic family holiday. We made it all the way to Cape York and along the way we found this cache. Thanks for adding to the thrill of our holiday.
Sorry the log is a standard template style.

The Rats and mini rats have just returned from an amazing 6-week adventure to Cape York. Along the way we had time to stop and grab a big handful of caches, some of our finds were in the remotest parts of Australia. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing your cache, you've all contributed to us having a great holiday. Apologises for the generic log.

With our magnetism we found it CARDY365 13/8/19 3.17pm at this rate we might not make Goondi
Coming from the south we passed lots of dead kangaroos on the approach to this one. Wouldn't want to be travelling this road at night by the look of it.
Talk about a wind swept plain here, luckily we were able to make a quick find and get out asap. The wind that the weather forecasters are saying is coming from Antarctica certainly hit us here.
Thanks.

Quick with with sjg66 as we wound our way back from Longreach. Thanks to all the cache owners who maintain these caches.
Travelling to Moree during the long weekend from the ACT meeting TheSkype. Long but a rewarding drive, seeing the sights and caching along the way. I might stay here the night. TFTC
Hi there ReXross. Today was a driving day between Inverell and Moree - so a pretty easy day. We left Inverell early (before 10am) and arrived in Moree at around 12.30pm. This cache was a quick find and the container and the log are dry and in good condition. SL. Thanks to ReXross for this cache - our find #6634.
On our way to the Mega. After setting up camp it was time to grab the local caches. Quick park and grab on the way past. Log signed. TFTC
Mini Platzplayz found this little goodie all on her own !!! Well done our little adventurer !!!

As I pulled up and realised where the cache was my heart sank a little bit, muggles utilising the space for a snack. I debated my capability of finding the cache sneakily and decided that was never going to happen so decided to talk to them about caching instead. They seemed interested so we chatted for a while but when I went back to the car for a more functional pen they quickly packed up and drove off. now it could have been just time for them to go or was I coming across as a weird person to run away from....
I've had a refreshing few days free camping at the local golf club grounds in Bellata, the beer was cold and the dog was friendly so a good time was had. the nightly storms were spectacular too. tftc

After a drive thru on the south bound bit of this rest area,
I headed north thru the other side
All quiet here,
and so a quick cache find
TFTC on me way to Narrabri [^]
The unmarked cop car occupants must be wondering what I'm up to by now
I've passed them 3 times while they stopped some twits,
and they have just passed me again
No chance of a speeding ticket for me today

Heading up to Queensland for a family holiday with hubby and the geo kids so a cache or two along the way helps to break the drive up. Super quick find here and off we went again! Many thanks for the cache.
A Quick find luckilly muggles had just left as we pulled in On a Road trip from Tassie
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late and generic log, something I am notorious for. Thank you TeamKrossfor adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Came up to QLD to pick something up today with MrGT. I was his driving assistant and talking buddy. haha. Was a long drive and long day. He was kind enough to let me do a little caching before heading back home.
We were carrying a load so could only do geocaches where there was room for parking and turning. So rest areas were on the list. We were heading south and just overshot the turn to the southbound rest area where I was going to shoot across the road from, so MrGT slipped into the Northbound exit as there was no one there and the road was clear.
I saw evidence of geocachers looking in the wrong place here. hahaha

Day 2 of our journey to Alexandra. Left Moree early and now heading south. Had a chat to a truckie who was parked very close to GZ and when he departed took a set and soon had the container in hand. TFTC Team Kross
Found by Mary & David at 1130. A truck and a car at either end of the rest area, but we sat and relaxed and found the cache unseen. At least the rain has stopped. Moree is looking good for lunch. Our thanks to TeamKross.
Just before we got to this rest stop we had to slow right down and even stop several times as cattle grazing on the roadside casually took it in turns to cross the highway. An interesting sight. TFTC
Had a great time at the Alice Mega and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches along the way. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.
Thanks for the cache TeamKross.

TFTC. Last year after leaving Moree we stopped in the rest area on the other side of the road. Not wanting to cross over we left it for another visit. WE left Pilliga Bore this morning planning an overnight in Moree. Stopped at the Rest Area and quickly had cache in hand.
While camping at Warialda with Geodog Scruffy ...
We just had to go out and find a few caches ..
