Searched all around ground zero but no luck. Enjoyed the walk.

18-Mar-23
Spent 40 minutes looking around where we had found it years ago, but no joy tonight!
I had hoped that MAP'S would be able to find it Sunday morning as part of the Merit Badge. I'm afraid it needs replacing!
[We ended up with the monkeys finding 'A Good Idiah']

No luck today despite a lot of searching. Enjoyed the historical walk along the old railway bed. TFTC.

Found with No_Tomorrow on 6/11/19 when we took our Mum and Dad out for a picnic for Mum's b'day.
TFTC and the lovely walk.

Found in the company of Key_Tat and Viper_101... with such an amazing day after the windy week we have had, we thought we might go and look for a cache in a different spot for us. So off we went with the goal of finding this and the old track. After some pictures and video of the area and the tracks, the cache was quickly found. Unfortunately the container's lid is rusted shut, and I brought the wrong type of container to swap out... sorry. It was an enjoyable drive and the walk to the cache... Thanks for placing. We have photo evidence of cache in hand if required. TFTC

Caching with Tatt2squared and Key_Tat... a fun walk through the bush, I loved jumping along the tracks... TFTC.

Caching with Tatt2squared and Viper_101... a great walk with the family on a beautiful day... thanks for bringing us here.

Needs maintenance

Clever clues and found the cache. Couldn't sign the log of there is one, as it has rusted shut so tightly that we were not able to open it. What a magic spot and bit of history. Thanks.

Found with Roam4Eva and my parents.

I had a lovely trip out here today. Spent so much time on a picnic morning tea that we didn't get time to wander down to the cascade cache. But I was determined to see this place and the cache was a bonus. Had to read the hint and my dad figured out the location straight away and touched it without noticing it. I had a better look and had they cache signed quickly so we could get to lunch in Byabarra.

Signed as NT & co.
Log book was wet. Cache was rusty.

Clue is too cryptic for me. Couldn't find anything that looked pout of place. Looked all over. Nothing. Gone maybe? A nice bit of history though.

07-Apr-18
Saturated logbook to be replaced. Thank you

05-Apr-18
We were relieved for a much easier find here than at the previous Cascade Falls Walk, and are giving this a FP for bringing us somewhere we probably never would’ve seen, but it’s absolutely charming! The logbook was saturated so we couldn’t really sign it, so please find our “phlog” as proof of find ️. Thanks so much for this lovely cache

31-Mar-18
Quickly stopped here on our way back from Cascade Falls, had to wait for the GPS to settle down before we made the find, logbook was very wet, unfortunately we didn't have a suitable replacement with us.
Thanks for the cache

Had to pick up the kids from overnight camping at Swans Crossing, so had a look to see if any caches were around the area and this one was. Grabbed the kids and then stopped off on the way home. Easy finding GZ and the object. Hasn't been found for a while but after a little searching we had it. TFTC

Found this one while Canping at Snows Crossing. Cool little hiding place. TFTC

Kids didn't feel like stepping out for a little drive, livened them up! We all enjoyed the adventure.

Tftc. Found this one while camping at Swans Crossing for the weekend with some friends. Before I came up I had searched website and saw there were several caches nearby but at arrival at campsite had no phone reception. I was thinking no caches this trip but no problem, I'll do them another time. Some friends took me four wheel driving and they actually brought me to the tramway but couldn't remember where the timber tracks were. So the next day I was getting some firewood and had my phone with me and found I had reception so I checked app, hit start and off I went, figuring that I would lose reception but i would try anyway. Lo and behold, I got to ground zero, found the cache, but then my pen didn't work. Walked back to car, found something to scribble on, got pen working, went back to cache, signed the log and went back to campsite, roped in a muggle mate and went searching for some more.

Very good. Knot too difficult.

Great hide. Favourite. Great scenery. Would love to come back and walk along the tramline one day. With Weebindi and weetalabah.

14-Feb-15
Knot at all difficult to find.

This could have been a nightmare to find, but the co-ords are not too bad considering the tree cover. A quick look around, and I was nearly standing on it. TNLNSL TFTC

Found with other members of NSW Lone Rovers

08-Jun-14
Stopped to check it all out and after a long while searching had given up we all started back to the car very disappointed... until one of the crew yelled out 'found it!'
GPS had trouble under the trees but very nice hide with a good clue too

TFTC!

Found with NSW Lone Rovers and Cadet Kelly. I've been out camping here many times but hadn't walked the old tram lime before. Found the cache after a little head scratching, then we walked the track before the heat of the day got to us.

Found with 2 Crew members in attendance

Found with Brightspark88, Cadet Kelly and NSW Lone Rovers. One of the great things about Caching other wise I would not have come here.

31-Aug-13
Found at 11:31 AM GAFF3 in the company of Browngang. We headed out this morning to pick up the closest caches to home and also to do some maintenance work on the Wander series. Another beautiful day and the first time out here which took a lot longer to get to than expected. Looking at the photo of the logging activities and learning that this area used to be a former grazing property, it is staggering to think how much regeneration of the forest has occurred in 100 years!
Interesting to see the reconstructed piece of "track" - you can still see the original sleepers underneath the new ones.
It took us a while to spot the hiding spot as we were mainly looking on the other side of the track - which of course is in accordance with Rule 4 of the "Finding a Geocache" manual ie "If there are 2 possible sides to search for a cache, you must first search on the side where the cache is not hidden" [:(!].
Thanks vaggfam.

I gave up on my coordinates as they didn't seem like there was anything that matched the hint. Pprass was 15 meters away but I thought his gz seemed to match the cache page and hint better. Sure enough they were found by him in the end. A very tough part of the world to get accurate coords. Not sure how Cookie found it 20m out at night?
My inlaws live on this road and we have meant to call in and have a look many a time.
Thanks for getting us here finally.
Cheers from Browngang

12-Aug-13
While I noted that I brought through Beagle Bixby I mustn't have, so am this time (belatedly @10/12/13, before I release it into one of the Events tomorrow)

12-Aug-13
I had already made plans to find a local cache for the day, but when Cookie suggested a country drive I was up for that! As a Pathfinder I had camped a bit further along (at Swans Crossing) back in 2007. How time flies!
Nice evening walk into the GZ area, but then the 'FUN' started with trying to choose a spot to concentrate on as the GPSr would drift the distance to the 'cache'/GZ even if you standing still, and sometimes when you 'walked towards the cache' it would get 'further away'! Eventually I glimpsed something, and Cookie had a tool to retrieve it easily. Blank log sheet, so a Joint FTF. Bargain
(We weren't so clever at the next one tho!)
Nick Starrs Starr and Hedge Hopper TBs thru.

Looking forward to getting out there when we return. Nice cache description with good information.

Yes! Joint FTF (with MVMB) I had contacted another young cacher in Taree to see if they were able to come along but school and other commitments were too much.
2345 GAFF2 about 20 m from GZ in the end. It seemed like a repeat of Kooloonbung Kache#2, as I left my caching bag where GZ first zeroed out, and walked back and forward trying to ascertain if that was the real GZ. Eventually I found that one spot, tho the GPS never assumed a closer distance than 20m while we logging it. Dry and o-ring intact.
The coordinates above were not averaged, so better ones may be obtained.
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, Beagle Bixby, B 2 B ingot, Homer J TB, Iconic Bridges, Just Monkeying Around Oz, Little Moo, PAP, Play Well, Trackabulldog, Wilma Australian Micro A cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, and trackable shirt.
Another cache for Challenging Cache elective book mark, tho it well qualifies for the Night Caching thesis.
