#14,515. Park, walk and grab on Withy Road in Manawahe. The scenic view was definitely worthy of a look. The GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
With having a planned power outage from 9am to 4pm I decided that if I couldn't do any of the things on my list I might as well do some geocaches... and it was perfect weather for getting out and about. Most definitely 'Whirthy' of a look... thanks for bringing me here
Sure is! I have had several good views of the bay and this one is amongst the best. Thanks for bringing me here .
Don’t know what the local thought I was doing up here. I was admiring the view.
Drove past gz and saw a head pop up over the fence. Did a u turn and the muggle was definitely staring us down and we considered leaving it. We ending up stopping and walked over to chat with him and he had a suspicion he knew why were there . Was nice to have a yarn with him while admiring the awesome views.
These spots are one of the reasons we love geocaching...bringing us to places we never would have come!

We are staying in Tauranga for a week's holiday, but today wanted to visit a showhome in Whakatane so combined that with some caching along the way. We picked up Geckoh's Grove, then decided that while we were in the area this one was Wirthy of a look. And the view from us here was definitely Wirth it. Thanks for showing us and TFTC.
Little bit of searching and used the hint, but out first ever cache find!!! Gorgeous view and little lambs watching us.
Thanks...all good here.
Quick find; and time to enjoy the stunning outlook too!

What a fantastic view!! "Just one more" before heading home. Thanks for the cache ruruwha
Used to enjoy fireworks as a child up bramer road. So was lovely to drive along and enjoy the views and see how things have changed. Out for an adventure with muggle mum and nice easy find with awesome views of whale island thx.
Beautiful day with a beautiful view. man you can see the flooding from up here. Sad for the people of Edgecumbe. Cache was an easy find and grab tb. Left a couple items. Tftc
What an amazing view! Been looking for a whirthy (see what I did there) cache to drop off the hello 2016 trackable and this is it
Just on a little trip out with no particular destination in mind. This was my 2nd stop and wow, that view is amazing. The hedge had had some work done so the cache was a little buried which made it harder - but thanks to a pretty straight forward hint, the formalities were soon taken care of. Cheers Ruruwha.
Early 2015 a group of Tauranga based cachers started a [BOP Geocaching Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/GeocachingBOP/).
115 cachers currently make up this [Closed](https://www.facebook.com/help/220336891328465#What-are-the-privacy-options-for-groups) group and have already organised various events and excursions thanks to the connectivity facebook provides. Please check us out if you haven't already.

Pity the weather isn't great. .. would be a lovely spot to look over the plains and beyond if it was clear
I'd tried for this one a while back, but there were to many working muggles near by to attempt to look for it. Swung by early this morning before heading for home & it was all clear.
A nice peaceful area with some beautiful views.
Left a pet rock - an owl. TFTC Ruruwha

Well this turned into a interesting find....pulled up to GZ and had a quick look before checking the hint and then finding the cache. All straight forward up till then.
The owner of the nearby house saw me parked at GZ and thought I might be after his sheep (apparently he'd had a run in with some poachers recently) and came over to see what I was up to. He told me I was luck he didn't have a gun, otherwise he would of put up a warning shot. A bit taken back, I explained I was geocaching was and where the cache was hidden, lucky he had heard of it before, so we had a bit of a chat about it and then carried on my way. He seemed like a pretty decent bloke once he knew what I was there for.
Definitely not your usual park and grab!!
PS. Great view btw.

There was a working bee going on near GZ so didn't stop. Shame. The cache name sake are old family friend's.
Out and about on a sunny Queen's Birthday weekend caching weekend, great view from GZ, thanks for sharing TFTC.
Great views in places up here. Relatives used to live on Braemar Road but sold and are now In Whakatane. A beautiful day to be caching our way to the bay. TFTC
Definitely worthy of a look. Fantastic view right across the countryside.
Thanks Ruruwha for taking us there. Would not have known about it otherwise.

Finally got up to this cache, on the way to Papamoa, after finding Geckoh Grove. What beautiful views indeed...we got photos that we hope will be great in the setting sun. A great hide too...thanks very much!
Easy find thanks to the great hint. Well worth the drive thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Despite it's relative isolation what a unreal place to have a home.Views forever. Thanks Ruruwha for bringing me here, not a place I would ever come to without a cache.Great hint.
Last one for the month of August!!!! Got back from Raro yesterday and had to come down this way for grandson Hadleys 6th Birthday party just down the road. Drove up here on the way home - didnt realise how high you got up very quickly. Great views!! TFTC
Day 24 of the 31 Days of August cache challenge; a 50+ km circuit visit of new caches across the Eastern Bay. A lovely, almost spring day for a drive. I have to admit that it feels like ages since I've found multiple caches.
We've driven along Braemar Road already this month, though before this cache was listed. This is the first time we've diverted off into the hills, and this drive was 'worthy' of a visit. What great views from up here. These landowners certainly have the Bay at their feet. The cache was a quick find, thanks to a good hint. TFTC and we appreciate your cache placements during the cache-a-day challenge.

We decided to go for a drive around further up looking at house lots before coming back for this cache gorgeous views up there!! a quick and easy find Thanks Ruruwha for taking us up here.
Very whirthy of a look on a beautiful spring day --- the sun was shining, the breeze was gentle, the sea was sparkling, White island was puffing, the lambs were spronking, the blossom was ........ blossoming
............. oh and did I say, whoops, the electric fence was on ... that put a spring in her step!
A whirthy cache indeed, TFTC
Now one of us really, really must wash the geo-corolla

Worthy of a look and worthy of a FTF attempt, drove out as soon as we got home from work and got to GZ around 5.50pm, quickly found, awesome hiding spot, the muggles will never know!!
This knocks off day 14 of the cache a day in August challenge.
Took a few photos from GZ as this is such an amazing vista of the Eastern Bay, thanks Ruruwha for the placement, will take the bike up here next time!!!

Did I mention it was a FTF?
