Logs
This has put my mojo back on track after being scuppered by muggles on today's adventures. TFTC!
Parked near to here to do this and then head off on foot for the nearby Earthcache. All good here and a few solo men with their toy dogs around. Maybe the rain flushed them out?An early start today with a breakfast event in recognition of Pi Day (I went to one year and it was held at 09:26:53, how's that for Pi Nerd? Anyhow, after the event I had some chores including heading across the city to the airport and then back for other stuff. An opportunity arose after lunch for a quick hour out and about and managed a few more finds to keep my visit stats ticking over. Thanks to all COs for their hides and subsequent maintaining.
#14,195. Infoferret and I have come over to Adelaide to attend the Leap Day mega event. We are staying on for an extra 10 days. Today we are picking up a few targeted caches to help us complete the A-Z and 0-9 challenge. This was a much needed cache starting with a 0. Just the cure we needed for a quick find as well thanks to it not being too tiny, tricky or placed in a muggle friendly zone. Thanks Doctor Owl for a cure for my normal DNF woes.
3 March 2024 10:09 TFTC Doctor Owl for placing this cache, number 13492 for me. Chasing letters and numbers today, a much appreciated 0!I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
Heading to the event this morning before the long trek back home. A quick cache or two was needed! Easy find here. Thanks for the fun and adventure!
Found it! Arrived at GZ and worked out the best plan of attack. Held my breath and made a dash for it with my fingers crossed no one decided to use this cut through while I did what was needed!Thankfully all quiet today. TFTC!
i had already met my cache calendar challenge fir today with this CO and so decided to try another.initially thought i might be. DNF ( oh the horror and embarrassment!) but the hint soon had me on the right trackphoto shows what the cache is NOT tftc Doctor Owland bringing me to this specific spot
Quick find while walking around the city.
Come visit SA’s longest running annual event - keep the weekend free - 7th - 10th June 2024 Can’t wait!!

In the area for a post-op review with my surgeon. Finally off crutches, so had to find a few close by caches. TFTC!
Here for working and delivering next door to this address had to find a geocache here, work truck in the background TFTH
Found it but right now my writing device stop working so I have used a piece of bark to leave my mark, tftc.
Thanks for the replacement! Visited the muggled GZ a while back and only just got to come back to break the drought after a brief hiatus!
After not finding it for a while due to it being stolen, I finally found it!!!!!
Looks like a bit of pruning went on a few months ago & may have taken the GC down ️
Thought this would be a sure thing to break drought with cache impatient geoson. I'm sure we were in the right spot as we approached from secret passage. Trimmed branches at rear may suggest muggle activity or may have allowed muggle entry. Was highly suspicious that owner of discarded bong may have taken it.
Quick bit of bush bashing for an easy find in the end. Glad for the quietness of this lovely little park.
Log book is full and needs to be replaced. TFTC

I started looking in the wrong spot and after a while I decided to recheck my approach. Reading some logs helped me re-orient myself and suddenly the hint made sense. Easy find after that.
Thanks for the cache, Doctor Owl.
Thanks for the cache, Doctor Owl.
Found easily, lots of mosquitoes strangely! Easier access if you have a little person with you
After the Freddo Vietnamese event I went out for some caches in the suburbs on foot around Norwood and St Peters, then some down south.
I'm 6'6, so this was as easy as you would imagine...
Cache is in good condition.
Took trackable.
Cache retrieved and signed.
Thanks Doctor Owl for this cache.
This cache brings Goldy's total find count to 1988 on the 11th of November 2022.
The thought's of those who served our country are remembered and missed.
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest We Forget.

We are finally able to travel interstate without heaps of loops to jump through. We thought we would take it easy and have a look around South Australia and grab a few more LGA's while we were here.
Out for a morning run while staying in the area. As I was retrieving this one some people walked along the path, they must have wondered what I was doing. Luckily I wsn't there very long.
This was find number 4 for the day.

A few dog walkers were disappearing as I arrived, so free to dive in. Coords all good. TFTC
My 100th find! I was planning on finding a Doc Owl mystery for my 100th find but decided to find another Doc Owl hide. Originally found this cache years ago on my other account.

Just the remedy we needed. Had 3 Dnf today from 6 caches prior to this. In almost 2000 caches we have never had such a poor ratio. Tftc
Having a day out completing the 24hr Bakery Adventure Lab with Jolly0 and Marlee126 and collecting points for Reach the Peak challenge.
Well hidden, but no challenge for Jolly0. TFTC

At a party next door and stepped away to find the cache very grateful for the cover as a few muggles walking through the park. Alas no pen so I scratched my mark on the logbook with a nearby twig tftc
The more agile side of the_jokas took one for the team and went for the search. A “sticky” few minutes later we had cache in hand. Dropped a TB too TFTC
Out and about for one of my semi-regular caching days with geomum, Doctor Owl (and the first one under a new name - something I almost forgot a few times while signing logs). Thankfully there was a lot less time between the previous one and this one as I wasn't stuck in Victoria, as I was this time last year. As is often the case, we didn't really have a plan rather that meadering to a vague area where some caches Doctor Owl was interested in getting, while detouring and stopping for any that we passed which I hadn't got (which to be honest) is a lot of caches).
We were heading to 'Big Ray' and I said "There is one just over the road too." "Yeah, it is mine," Doctor Owl said. "Oh, well you can direct us there once we have Big Ray. That seems quicker than following the coordinates". We soon headed over to GZ and Doctor Owl instructed me on the best way to get to the cache (which admittedly saw me cautiously crawling past something that smelt a bit weird). Despite the container not being what Doctor Owl described at the time, it was a fairly quick find (I guess that is part of the benefit of finding a cache with the CO). TFTC.

Let’s get more swag going in this one. I put something in.

Scratchy, but got it! Would be nice to see more swaps inside, but TFTC nonetheless!
I nice little reserve I didn’t know existed. I was mid search in the bushes when a young lady walked past. I hate to think what she thought I was doing in there!
Quick find. Cache is in good condition.
Thanks for the cache Doctor Owl.

Sometimes - a lot of the time actually - one just needs a reliable, clean box under a bush to fill the caching craving.
This was that.
this cache was everything you want and nothing you do not! Well, except for the mentos and coffee candies which I did the CO and other cachers the favour of removing and chucking out (cos thankfully the ants hadn’t found them yet but they smelled good!)
I came today to hunt a trackable listed as being in this tidy little cache and indeed I found the beauty. I found the cache easily - I think this is a great little hide!!
Thank you for the cache Dr Owl!

Bit scratched up but found it. Also dropped a trackable so it can travel on. TFTC
Thanks Doctor Owl for this easy, muggle free, find. Just a bit tricky to reach. Using the seat, as suggested, to log. A peaceful well maintained space.
Out with Geosparkie0 on a beautiful day. Thanks for being the chauffeur Geosparkie0. TFTC
A quick search before a job nearby turned up nothing. I didn’t really have time to search
It was just a scope.
As soon as said job was completed I headed straight back with time up my sleeve. Although extra time was not required.
A well placed cache. Cache and log still in good condition.
Thank you Doctor Owl for helping to maintain my unbroken streak.

Took a little longer than I think it should have... Much faster when you look in the right place...
Forgot my writing stick so a stamp will suffice in the logbook...

Nice easy one. Made up for the ones we didn’t find earlier. Didn’t have a pencil to mark physical log. Took harmonica. Left car. TFTC
What a spot! A chunk of my misspent youth happened at nearby Norwood Bowl (I still have my ball), and so great to be back. The cache description sounded ideal, and then I got sprung badly whilst signing the deal. But it’s all part of the fun, yeah? Thanks Dr. Owl!
Quick find in the luckily empty park that resulted in cold rainwater down JJ's neck and leaves in hair. We'd just came from 30 minutes of unsuccessfully trying to find a cache nearby, so this was absolutely perfect! TFTC from Sabo + JJ
Found after a short search and a little help from the hint. Thanks Dr. Owl. Cache was in good condition.
I was not aware of this park and it was semi deserted apart from a lunch taker with his back to me.
Walked in and had a good look around and then retreated back to the car defeated.
Thought about it again and returning, with the help of the hint, made a good find and sign.
Left with the lunch partaker still enjoying the sunshine.
Thanks to the good doctor.

Nice quiet reserve. Definitely access from behind as it’s hard to see from the fronts TFTC
