We came out to the telegraph station with the Ghan railway for a barbecue dinner. I was able to sneak away for a few minutes to find this geocache . Greetings from San Francisco, California and TFTC!
Adelaide and train trip Day 8. Ghan day 2. At last the key Train Trip of this two week Journey. My second day on the train started with a long wait at Tenant creek for a sick freight train to move away in front of us. We arrived in Alice Springs a little late after an impromptu lunch on the train. My off train experience was a trip to the Desert park to see various outback animals. We ran out of time in the nocturnal house before heading over to the bird presentation which was an amazing show. The afternoon was spent on the train before heading to the Telegraph station for an amazing meal that ended up under the stars. It was then back to the train for the overnight trip to near Coober Pedy. This was where I was able to sneak out and get one of the caches just on the other side of the Todd River. A nice simple find tucked away in a neat spot. Thanks for the cache redcenterdazza44705.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & One Way Caching A#28**Albida**
Quickly found while chatting to the Wicked Step Mother on the phone towards the end of a long, warm day. Cracking. And a bonus AL stage too. TNLN-TFTC!

Beautiful trip down memory lane coming back to The Alice after 30odd years away. Tftc. ️
Thanks for bringing me to this Beautiful spot!! Found the cache no worries, and it’s in good condition. TFTC
Crossed the Todd and followed the trail across to this one. I went 2 times around and then spotted it. Went bush bashing from here to join onto the Riverside walk. I spent some time watching two galahs in their nest. Sadly I couldn't see the young but I could hear them. TFTC...eatmorchikin from Brisbane
On the first day of many for the Larapinta trail. Nice easy find and great to be finally on the trail.

Found with Mosaikmum while on our holiday road trip through Queensland, central Australia, Flinders Ranges, Broken Hill through to Port Macquarie TFTC
Found while at the Telegraph Station. Yes, definitely needs attention. We may get back to replace container in a day or so. TFTC
Continuing a nice walk this morning I found this cache. It is broken but I was able to sign the log and put it in a new zip lock bag for the next finders. Thanks redcenterdazza for these caches.
Easy find but unable to sign log because container has disintegrated - see photo. Needs replacing.
The lid of the plastic box is broken in many pieces and the ziploc bag for the log is torn. The next rain is highly likely going to soak everything
As we wander the great land seeing the sights, this is one of the caches we have done.
Thanks to redcenterdazza for placing the cache for us to find.

Time to find shelter, the sun is quite fierce even though it is the middle of winter.
We have finally found our last cache to mark off all the days
of our 366 day Calendar challenge that we set this time last
year. We were happy to find this one to fill in the final spare
day. We signed the log and replaced it as we found it.
Thanks redcenterdazza for being the CO of many of the
caches that we found along the way in Alice Springs.
We have been here for 3 Months and still will be
for another month or so.
A fave point from us!!!

Unfortunately we had no pen. Marked the log with a burnt stick in the true spirit of the location.

On our vacation this year, we did a great trip as GER-17 to Australia.
GER-17 are DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, de Eifelaner and murri24.
We started the tour in Melbourne where we spend a few days sightseeing and caching, including some trips out of the City to the Grampians an to the Great Ocean Road.
Nice place to be and to see.
From Melbourne we went to Alice Springs including Ayrs Rock, where we saw some nice sunsets and other great stone formations and spots.
Back in Melbourne we started by car to go to Sydney along the coast with zig zags into the blue mountains and Canberra.
Finally we arrived in Sydney and spend here the last day of our holidays with caching and sightseeing.
During this trip we found this box.

DieFraudiemitmuss, Lundi263, Murri24 and I made this year a very great tour together. Our first target is Melbourne. So we started early in the morning to visit the city and to make a few geocaches. We found very nice locations and interesting spots. One day we rent a car. Very early in the morning we drive from Melbourne City over Geelong to the Great Ocean Road. Along this road we found so much interesting spots, we see a great landscape, and had have not enough time for sightseeing. The weather was fine but a little bit windy. This day was very long and hard, but wonderful.
After that we visit the Grampians. A little bit rain, a little bit windy and a little bit sunny day, we had fasten all weathers. We visit waterfalls, canyons, sandstone fomations and any Look Outs. Puhhh, what a great landscape.
The next part of our journey is to explore the Outback. From Ayers Rock we take a car and drive over Kings Canyon and many other Look Outs to Alice Springs. We visit any very interesting Caches and had a great time by comfortable temperature.
This traditional Cache we hav also found. We log it as "GER-17". Thank you for this Cache.

Found while caching around the telegraph center while non geo husband at truck museum
On our second and last day in alice springs we went for a hike to the old telegraph station and a little beyond to catch a glimpse on what outback hiking along one of the outback trails would mean ... we were very impressed by the scenery and enjoyed the caches alongside the way although always being very careful where to place our hands and feet thanks a lot to the owners for leading us our path through the caches
Another enjoyable day of caching in this beautiful area. This was one we targetted and found. Thanks to redcenterdazza for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Fav point alloc
19 April 2017 12:40 PM Found with Gonefishen07 on our little adventure to Alice Springs. Thank you for taking the time to place the cache and show us this beautiful area.

Caching in the Alice Springs and Eastern MacDonnell ranges region for the long, long weekend all thanks to the Red Center Experience geocaching event in Alice 13-17th April 2017. My apologies for a generic log, but I'm notorious for not logging my caches. I am just trying to get up-to-date so someday I can celebrate milestones again. cheers and thanks to all for their efforts to make the hide findable and most in a location worthy of a visit without geocaching (but I'm glad I got a smiley too!)
Find No: 5939. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Blatherskite Park for the Easter event, thanks for the cache redcenterdazza!!
