Travelling with iluvtrekking on a SA caching foray. Staying a couple of days in Clare to grab some finds. Thanks for the hide.
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. Quick find here. All good. Thank you S and A, for placing Leasingham Hotel for the geocaching community.# # #14937 # #

A super plan was devised to take a trip to Clare and blow in on the wonderful crew managing the JLWE event. After some discussions, it was decided that Brisal5 would pick up me and Blackadder and make our way north. The carnival was in full swing by the time we arrived, and after some caching and general discussion, we headed to the flash mob event. There were virtuals, juggling, a drone and lots of caching discussion. The remainder of the day was spent hunting caches, some easy, some hard, some prickly.
We had headed back to Auburn to start the AdLab. Heading north this one was on the way to the Leasingham Railway station. A quick find and sign, by the only one in the car who had not found this one. Thanks for the Cache S and A, find #6987 at 4.40pm

Thank you for the interesting write up on the cache page, it is a shame that a lot of buildings are lost through modification. SL TFTC
Took a while to find it. Was not where we thought it was. Some distance away. Placed back where we thought it should have been.
Latest log book entries date back some time.

Interesting to learn more history of the area. Would have been so different then! Tftc
TFTC, walking back past the plaque with coffee, and thought that would be a good spot for a cache.
It was time to get on the move again with ilook4geo, so we just did a random selection of caches along the route we wanted to take. The program didn't quite happen as when we arrived at some of them it was raining too hard to get out of the car - so we just kept on going. Thanks go to S and A for adding to the caches we found today.
It was very variable weather today, but mostly wet. On the road with goingplaces2 but found some caches in a few periods between the rainy times. Thanks to each CO for the caches we found. It was a day when we climbed to the peak of August's mountain to gain two souvenirs.
Visiting the rentals in their new travel mobile! Quick find by the geoson! Signed and returned.

Arrived at the nearby park and once the van was set up decided to go for a walk. Checked the map as we were walking, and there was a cache 20M away. So wandered across the road and made a quick find. Signed the log and then replaced it all as found.

This weekend, jesswrigley and I headed to Melrose for mountain biking the trails with a few non-geocaching friends. We ended up hiking up to Mount Remarkable on Sunday, and on Monday, we returned to home via Booleroo Centre, Jamestown, and Clare. The weekend had some rain drizzle and crisp mornings, but otherwise good weather for fitness.
Today, we had a morning Melrose mountain biking session, before starting to drive back to Adelaide. We had some time to fill, so ended up taking the long route via Booleroo Centre, Hornsdale, and Jamestown, to then arrive at Clare for an afternoon tea/coffee event. It was then an expedited drive via Gawler.
We admired Leasingham's history before finding this cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks S and A for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
