More trees have been cut down. Lots of stumps left. Will try again when it's not so cold and wet!
Jdscout and I camped at Lake Heron. I have not been there before or Lake Clearwater. The road was quite rutted to Lake Clearwater so we decided not to go any further. We were both amazed with the amount of holiday homes in the area.
We walked along the lakeside to find this geocache. A nice big one.

Another nice cache with some awesome views. waited until the motorbikes and cyclists passed and then made the dive and grab. wasn't quite where the hint had said but location was still obvious. great to see a decent sized container. tftc found with chiko1
Hmm, the pine tree choppers are working so it might not last much longer. However, safe for the mean time. Cheers
Came here about a month ago. But never got around to logging. Beautiful day in my backyard

Then we went to Melbourne where we visited the city and the surrounding area . then we went to closing in the north of Australia . During this time we visited several geocaches and were brought to very nice places through this partially . We also had the opportunity to visit some very old caches , which extremely pleased us . We wish to thank Owner for nurture and cherish the caches .

After a bit of to-ing and fro-ing while the GPS accuracy settled, the cache was easily in hand. Shame I didn't have bigger goodies to add - it's nice to find a decent size container. Beautiful spot. Saw a surreal thing when we got back to the road after finding the cache - a musterer with multiple working dogs came through with a large herd of sheep kicking up a huge dust-cloud. Something you don't see too often.
Nice quick find on our day trip to Clearwater, stopped here for a coffee and a cache. TFTC!
An awesome morning dawned. We waited for the sun to rise a bit & the frost/ice to start melting before heading out on a family adventure to the Ashburton Lakes district. A great day.
A great day was had at the (frozen) lakes & climbing Mt Sunday. Heading back out late in the day but a smidgen of time to make a quick find and sign of this one. Trees a bit damaged due to snow but cache all good. Getting on a bit...last cache of the day. Time to head to Methven for some tea then onwards to home. Cheers.

We are staying at Methven for the weekend. Heading up towards Mt Sunday today. Very strong winds here today but found it quite sheltered near this cache for our picnic lunch. TFTC!
very nice place with view of mountains for Hugh the Hampster we left here. good difficulty level. Very windy on a cold day, neat to see the langmuir currents in the lake. TFTC
Had a wee look, ran out of time had to head on back to Christchurch, I'll try again in the summer.
A day out with Mrs Nofs. A couple of nice walks, a coffee or two and a few caches - something for everyone. Thanks.
The last of the Clearwater finds for this trip, easily found in the dark after a fishing trip.
Tonight it was the "screaming pines", the wind was quite impressive.
Cheers and thanks for all the caches you placed here.
