Logs
So small but not too hard to spot, when we were signing the cache, i accidentally dropped the lid, which spent us a little over 30 minutes to locate as the camouflage was a little too good! otherwise cache is returned as found TFTC
Tiny tim. Cycling along the quiet Manawatu River Pathway collecting the thirteen cache, bliss.
Tried for a second time, with more human reinforcements...but sadly no...cant turn this into a smiley
Revisiting the 4 Ashhurst-side caches me and the kiddos found as new geocachers on New Years Day 2015We had met Etherlord and the Seagnoid that day who were on a maintenance mission. At the time this one wasnt found but we were granted an honourable find on the day (according to my 2015 log) Today almost 10 yrs later and I couldnt find it despite clues, previous logs and pics.
Having been up in Wanganui for the weekend (as I often am) I had to head (back) over to Ashhurst on Sunday morning for some work related maintenance. After that was done, as I had had a nice early start to my day, I decided to do some of the caches in the area and this was one of them.
I didn't make it all the way down the pathway today as I had set myself a timelimit for the area. But I did get the first half done, and as half of the CO's had done maintenance here recently it was nice to know that I was likely to find them all. And I did.
---
Thanks to Etherlord and the Seagnoid for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

SkyCraneKid and EtherLord are out on an afternoon bike ride doing some long overdue maintenance along this cycleway.
All good here
All good here
This cache took us a very long time to find without getting an electric shock overall this was an amazing cache.
Originally found last year on the account JoeyGE0 and signed as JoeyGE0. But now have made my own account.
Thanks Etherlord Clan for the Traditional cache! I replaced the cache back to its original spot.
81th find.
Thank you for spending your time to put this cache out and to make geocaching more fun.

Stopped the night at Ashhurst domain while doing the north island geo tours. I hopped on my bike and came down here to grab some more caches. Thanks for placing Etherlord and Seagnoid. I wouldn't have come along here otherwise and it was lovely.

Mrs Geckoh was in luck with this find, that could have gone either way!
Unfortunately the log was too wet, we do have a photo if proof of find is required.

Even though I don't particularly like caches of this size, it was an easy find
Found it!
Off for a run with the geohound in the sun as an activity away from our local zoom spots
Took me a few minutes to locate, not sure how I managed to miss seeing this one on the map last time I was here
The log was wet and when I tried to remove it it disintegrated slightly so left it as is & didn’t attempt signing
Thanks

Going for a walk with the daughters youngest found this one log book a little water damaged tftc
On my first geocaching trip to NZ I learnt the title word as I found many Skindo caches. I liked this variation on the hide! TFTC.
This is our 4th cache to find. Definitely took a bit more searching. We love the size of the cache!!
I'll dig out one of my spares and replace it asap.
Thanks for letting me know

Nice new log im # 5. Then it turned to custard & I realized an item i could do with in my caching bag right about now which would be a nig as magnet.
Yep nice micro case & i don't know how i managed to drop the bottom half as i screw them together while writing the log. Massive search & a fair bit of tome hunting, but ni luck lucky can return log i top half & messaged the owner that i owe them a micro cache. Jave 1 at home somewhere.
As with trying to find the half today, theicro part makes it fun finding the 1 i have.
Great hide

Great little cache. On a beautiful sunny day this was a great find. Wonderful way to end our searching. Thanks
They DID have a strained relationship, but luckily we were able to sort it out to everyone's satisfaction. Cache is all good. TFTC
I have challenged myself to walk 2000km this year so this trail seemed like a good way to add some mileage while heading to Palmy for tonights stock car meeting. This is my 1st cache for today under a fairly harsh sun, but lovely breeze. TFTC
Really clever hide! Haven't sen one like this before. Just got me to the peak of mount Denali. Heading back now, it's way too hot to attempt more today unfortunately. Tftc and happy new year!
Cheeky hide. Last cache to find to complete finding all the caches on thiswalkway. Awesome caches.
The Manawatu region is now in Alert Level 2, which means we can now go geocaching again. Yippee!

This series has been long overdue maintenance visit.
Thanks for everyone's patience.
Cache is in good order and in the correct location.
Log was full, so I replaced it with a fresh roll.
This is easily my favourite cache of the series [^]

with being a long weekend we decided on another trip to the Manawatu.
we based ourselves in Ashurst. with lots of caches around the general area.
main idea was to complete the 20/20 series which we had all the solves for now, plus anything else.
we checked ourselves into local pub, arriving just with enough time to have a couple of beers.
plan today head up thr valley one side back down the other.
caches all in fairly good order.
thanks to the owners for the placements.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Roaming around the wide open spaces of the Manawatu this weekend. We’ve had the caching brakes on for far too long, and it’s a weekend to cut loose.
It’s a new day and a chance to knock off some hides we’ve had our sights on… This riverside trail was an easy stroll for the most part. Each of the caches we found offered something novel and different. You can always tell when a trail is popular by the well worn geotrails through the grass. Thanks Etherlord and the Seagnoid and TFTC.

A nice hide. Found it hard to get a tiny spot in the very full log to sign! Thanks for placing the cache
Back with pliers to deal with it. Log is not only wet but full. Found a gap but needs a new one.
Found this one on return along track. Nifty hide. Lid jammed on so left my log at the bottom of the cache hidey hole. Tftc
I had a job to do in Palmy and knowing some of team bop (McJandals) were down here decided we needed to team up and do a few caches before heading home. Tftc
I was in the Manawatu and got the call from part of the team (Team BoP) who were on a quick day trip, a spur of the moment trip as one of our members had a job to do in Palmy so in the van we went trying to clear some of our previous un-found caches and some others as well.
Nicely hidden. Log surprisingly damp.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Continuing my short walk along the cycle trail, because I'm carrying a heavy cold this was the second of the three this visit. This one was excellent - worth another FP.
It has lost its o-ring so the log is a little damp, but otherwise all good. TFTC

I'm on my way down to Palmerston North for a few days of caching. I was going to camp at Ashhurst, but it was still closed. I just had time to grab this cache and set off to find a campsite for the night. TFTC.
Spent the night in Woodville on my way to Whanganui. Had the day to collect some local caches on route. Didn’t have to strain too much to find the good hide. Thanks
Had a group ebike day from Linton to Ashhurst return 60ks - lucky to grab a few caches on the way. Beautiful spot. Tftc
After the traditional nature of the first cache this was a bit of a curveball. Indeed I gave up on the outbound leg and hoped that future caches would give me some idea of what I should be looking for on the return. However approaching this cache from the other direction I read a few logs and one word told me all I needed to know: "clever". And with that I searched with a different mindset and found it within a minute of my second visit. I sat down in the shade on the other side of the path to sign and I so nearly lost the lid by not paying attention to where I put it. Thankfully I found it and put everything back as found. An unexpectedly tricky find. TFTC!
I was convinced there was nowhere else to hide a cache. Guilty of assuming the CO was playing within certain limits which is silly as I had already found so many different hides on this trail.
A few people enjoying being in the water near the start on this lovely evening. Enjoyed the hint on this one. TFTC # 14,902
This one was very cleverly hidden and took us a few minutes to spot but we got there in the end. Great hide, TFTC.
I enjoyed my walk along here this morning. I had to endure the odd shower of rain along the way, but that didn't worry me too much. Lots of interesting hides kept the interest up. Cheers and TFTC
The kids and husband came with me on this cache hunt. The husband is new to caching but with me pointing him in the right direction we soon had this little beauty found, log extracted, signed and rewound into its hides hole.
Completing the series today for numbers and also 175° Coordinates. This series gives another one we need.
This style of cache was tricky for the first time I saw it. Not this time. tftc

Out on a cycle ride with the Seagnoid and the EtherSprogs.
This one is in good condition and still gives me a smile. It's my favourite in the series

Thanks for the series. A favourite for this tricky little hide to honour all the caches.
Having traveled up to Palmy after work on Friday to spend some time with friends, I had a completely free day to myself. What to do with it? Well I can think of a lot worse things to do than take a casual stroll along a riverbank in good company, grabbing caches along the way.
This whole walk was virgin territory for me, having never been here before either as a cacher or otherwise, so I was hoping for a good result with these caches. There's no doubt I was greatly aided by having one of the Cache owners alongside me for the walk. It made for a speedier find on several of the caches simply by telling me if I was heading off in the wrong direction around GZ.
I liked this one. The cache itself was inventively hidden, so I am giving a FP for the efforts gone to to create this one.
Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches.

Was up in Palmy this weekend and had the bikes, so we went for a ride along the river trail with allepousse. The weather just held off and it was a very pleasant ride.
Nice easy find.

One of 10 caches we located today along this part of the river trail. Cycled the 3kms or so to the (current) end, with the intention of finding as many of the caches as possible on the way back. Didn’t find this one straightaway, but spotted it soon after that. Nifty hide! #1738. TFTC.
long overdue maintenance visit.
This is my favourite cache in the series and I'm pleased to see it's still in good condition.
logbook is filling up so I replaced it
