Had an appointment at the hospital parked nearby and arrived early so decided to go for a quick find tftc
TFTC Found with andyfreya while out walking, waiting on a car service. Picked up a trackable, will move it on.

This puzzle cache is close to our hotel so Crow set to solving in last night. Quickly decoded and quickly located today. TFTC
In the Hagley Park South area today and grabbed a few caches as we wandered round.Solved the puzzle before we left as the code was one known to us and so quickly solved. At GZ we weren't sure we were in the right place but checked where the GPSr took us and quickly spotted the cache. Finally able to drop off a TB TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Tftc took a bit to find this one the coordinates are a little out. Widened the search area and soon had it in hand.
This felt like a really long hunt, but that's only because I couldn't see the tree from the wood.Cache in hand now and it's a lovely day to be out caching
I searched for this one sometime ago (looks like I forgot to log my DNF, oops) but couldn't find anything among the leaves. When I saw this had been replaced recently was really keen to come and find it, figuring it can't be too far buried if it's only been there a week or so! Sure enough, very easy find today. Thanks!!!!!!
At last, I can call this one found! It is quite close to my house so I always opened my app to a frowny face.
Got off work at 7am and was feeling a bit cachey. Pedaled over and had the area to myself. Coords are bang on and I found it in no time. A crisp new log and sturdy container - satisfying!
I’ll keep one of the trackables moving. This is the first coin I’ve found.
Thanks for replacing! Two more and I’ll have the entire central city in the Found column.

A brand new container and log book in place. Two TBs and a geocoin in there to be moved along. Room for small swag, though I had none to get it started.
An easy explanation for the DNFs - the tree is gone! New container and new spot on the way.
Not so poplar when all the leaves are on the ground. Even with my banging stick I found no plastic
Mrs Bb decided to head back to the hotel to relax while I went off in search of a few more caches on a fine and sunny afternoon
No problem solving this simple puzzle in advance of our trip to New Zealand, but the cache remained elusive despite a thorough search.
Sadly, this is the only DNF of our trip so far, and as we live in the U.K. we are not likely to return to try again.
Thanks anyway for the puzzle.

I solved this puzzle a while ago but had held off on searching until I saw the recent find.
Ironic story:
I came here a couple of weeks ago after a busy work day.
I had pulled into the carpark and realized that there were too many muggles around to facilitate a search as there was an event happening nearby.
As I started to back out, I noticed my partners father was monitoring the carpark for the event. He spied me at the same time and came over.....
I tried to do some fast talking about finding a less busy place to go for my "after work walk" but he insisted on giving me one of the reserved parks.
It really was impossible to search for this cache at this particular time.....
I should have just explained Geocaching, but I was trying to be polite so took the "special" carpark and then had to go on a massive walk, completing a nearby Adlab so I could get the bonus cache as I had nothing else easily available to find in the vicinity.
Anyway, this was a quick find as the coords were good and I managed to awkwardly approach from the right angle.

Solved this puzzle whilst working through the list of easies instead of studying. Finally found the time to find it. Tftc
We solved this back in 2016 and finally got to GZ to have a look for the cache today. Unfortunately there were a few muggles in the area and it would have been difficult to search without being noticed. We hope to return some other time.
Solved the puzzle and spent a long while poking around the site, but no luck! There is a lot of leaf cover so perhaps it just very well buried at the moment. A shame after such a good puzzle.
Solved the puzzle but unable to locate the cache. In the area for a few more days so may try again.
I solved the puzzle quite a long time ago so it was great to come to find the cache today. When we got to ground zero we searched for quite a while here and there but I kept coming back to the spot that I thought would make a great place to hide a geocache. M finally found it there. Quite well hidden as it hadn't been found for four months. Nice to get another puzzle signed off.
Wow. Didn’t think we’d find this as we searched for ages. Still, you see it when you see it!
We went out for a walk and decided to get this one on our way. Thankfull to be hidden and not seen getting to GZ. Solved this some time ago but saved it for a blank dot day. Now home to pack the 4x4 for a weekend up the Harper and Avoca rivers. Thanks for this puzzle and the cache Rincewind3. A fav from us thanks.
This cache was on the list for Friday but as I got close I could see that was going to be impossible and I also discounted Saturday as a possibility. So I thought early on a wet Sunday morning might be a good idea. Had a poke around where my GPS lead me and I couldn't see anywhere to find a cache but just a bit further along there was a place that was very damaged with half of it lying on the ground. I negotiated my way there and found the cache tucked away. Whew! It might need a check sometime soon though. TFTC # 17,452
Was nearby for work. Quick find. Cache was out in the open so was pleased it wasn’t under 30 centimetres of leaves! Regis and headed off in the beautiful afternoon sunshine.
Was nearby so thought I'd take advantage of the sunny day and come back here for a walk and grab a few caches.
I had solved this before my last visit to the park, however never got the find, so it was nice to knock it off today. Thanks for putting this one together!
TFTC Rincewind3, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 6 today, making this find #2658

This was a fun pzzle to solve, and even more fun to find this cache. It's in a great spot!
Did a quick solve of this while in the area. The access to gz was fenced off so had to climb accross but after a quick search could not locate
Solved the puzzle a long time ago so it was good to pick it up today. No problems with accessibility today. Thanks
**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
We started the day at Sawyers Arms and then spent most of the day caching around the south west of Christchurch. Came in to South Hagley park this afternoon and made our way to GZ. Got carefully into postion and made the find. Thanks.

After visiting the Webcam Cache I took a walk to the botanical garden.
I searched for this can, found it and registered myself in the LB.
Thanks for this cache says Pöni.

The puzzle was straightforward, but the cache was quite inaccessible today, as we were faced with either scaling a two metre fence, or crossing a terrain 5 ditch, neither of which were within our capabilities. Clearly we need to choose a time when there isn't an event on at the oval.
Having picked up all the local geotour caches we still had the afternoon to have a wander around the area.
Love the topic of this puzzle cache. It didn't take to long to suss out the solution.
No one around GZ today so the container was soon located.
Thanks for setting this up Rincewind3

TFTC - quick decipher with a bit of a trickier hunt, nice quiet day in the park made for an easier search
Nice ‘n sunny so headed over to look for caches and at gardens It will take me a couple of hours to meander around

A great day to be out in the sunshine today. I had solved this one a while ago and cache was quickly found today. Like others before me my hands also changed colour. Tftc!
Solved this some weeks ago, on a rainy day. Today weather is perfect, no wind, sun shining, so we go for a bike and caches in Hagley park. Nice hide, both container and logbook in good conditions. As Hinemoana my hand changed color... It was fun. Thanks for taking here, we didn't know about the place. There was nobody this morning, but it could be busy during sports events.
Taking the long way to the hospital on a reasonably pleasant afternoon to search for a few caches. Had no luck last time here, but today I went straight up to it! I am sure I searched there before! And back then my hands were definitely not THAT colour... Glad to have it sorted TFTC!!
A few days in the Christchurch area catching up with family in the Easter/ANZAC break and doing a bit of impromptu caching. Today’s main targets were on the northern entrance and out by New Brighton.
Thanks to all COs
One that has been on my radar for a while.
Last time I was here there was a cricket test on, and I wrongly assumed I could get close enough.
That was a fail, there was security everywhere, but I was passing by today and it looked quiet.
It took me a while to work out which one was the correct one from those around, but I found it eventually. It seems this cache is developing it’s own camo as it goes!
A good cache as it fills a hole for a challenge cache based on the name of puzzle cache hiders. A tad ironically, ‘R’ has been a bit of a problem for me. So thanks Rincewind, I now qualify for this, and the puzzle itself on this cache was straightforward as well.

In Christchurch with abcdf4 for zephyr club convention and tagged along to pick up a few caches. A lot of quick easy finds and tons of parks and grabs. Thanks to the COs.
On Hoilday in CH/CH for a Zephyr Car Convention.
Weather was great.Up early to get a good day in caching.
Thanks to COs for your placements .Nice puzzle

27 November 2018 17:15 So, it's less than a month to Christmas, it's been raining constantly since you were made redundant, what do you do? Look at geocaches of course! Having found a challenge that you think you have met the criteria for, things get interesting. Gee of all the things to be missing a D1 puzzle. There were the D/T ones that you could do but they are a long drive... Then there is this one. On the 3rd try you solve it. Now almost rush hour but cabin fever has hit, both shift workers in the household are in bed due to night shifts and even the cat is snoozing, so a wet walk in the park sounds like just the thing! The usual 20 minute drive takes 45 minutes and the rain gets heavier. Take the wrong side of the stream and so walk a bit further than necessary but the roof on the cache makes it worth it and the cache has stayed really dry. TFTC Rincewind3
We parked nearby the final, retrieved it (rather overgrown around here, but the cache is ok) before walking to The Earthquake Memorial and the Armistice Day commemoration at the Bridge of Remembrance. The trees here at GZ also recall Flanders: rows and rows of these windbreaks surrounding the fields where the poppies grew. TFTC
We were in Christchurch for an event near here so wandered over afterwards to find this cache. It was the closest unfound and early active to where we were. No problems with the find and nice to have an extra momento of the occasion.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Coordinates are out. It took me to the middle of a cricket pitch. I am trying to suppress my inner Cartman after reading the comments saying to trust the GPS. Had a look in the trees but without the right location and knowing what I'm looking for it's a needle in a haystack.
Please ignore my prior log, I missed a number in the coordinates! Definitely a Cartman move
Started to doubt as I neared GZ, but trusted the GPS and geosense, there it was tucked up nicely. TFTH and the brisk walk.
In Christchurch for a conference this weekend. Enjoyed some spare time exploring Hayley park. Mrs Rubbishparty solved this one and left me to find it. Nice hiding place TFTC
Out & about early but still quite a challenge to find a park, especially on weekdays.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, Rincewind3. We are so lucky that our "forefathers" put aside this facility for us.

Solved the puzzle. Found the cache. Quiet busy the people on the fields. I think I will never understand their game.

I was heading to a workshop for the day rather than my usual work, meaning that I had to start later = extra caching time! I parked up at the venue and went for a walk. Hmmm.... spent a long time looking here, but I got nothing except a amazing amount of dirt on my hands and clothing... I was hoping the venue would be warm enough for me to keep my top layer of for the day...
We didn't have one like this before. What a funny idea! We loved the puzzle.
GZ was really busy today. But muggles stared in the other direction so we could easily locate and sign the logbook.
Thanks for showing! Tftc

A flash of inspiration and the puzzle was solved. Live it! Easy find at GZ! U-19 World Cup cricket on here now.
Been busy with house but as I have a visitor (aka Ruru_NZ), she took me out for a spot of caching to get this year on a roll. We worked this out after she looked at ones we hadn't found together and this was one of them. Nice and quiet when we went out after dinner when the temperature was a little cooler than it had been all day. Officious looking people in fluro jackets walking round looking as if they are security but we dodged the one in this area. After the gps settled it still seemed to show an area that I had looked in but couldn't see anything so looked somewhere close by and yes there it is safe and sound. However I still managed to 'blood myself'on the way out from the gz. Another signed off for the year Thanks for placing.
Out with KCN for some evening caching now that the temperature has dropped.
Solved this earlier today and headed here tonight. A bit hesitant as what looked like security people were leaving, the closest carpark area was reserved and we had to detour around the fencing.
Spent ages at the wrong place before KCN said the magic words.
I'd make this at least a 1.5 difficulty, probably 2 - it is a puzzle and a slightly obscure cipher.
Thanks for the smilie Rincewind3.

I had No idea at all what all that gibberish was but on a very rainy Friday I decided to google it and sometime later, after lots of frustration I had it solved. Loaded final coords into the GPS and off I went, in the rain in search of the prize. It turned out to be a surprisingly quick and very rewarding find. Tftc.
Found with NZDi. With the Christmas madness over and the extended family travelling near and far for their holidays NZDi and I found ourselves at a loose end. Not wanting to hang around home like Darby and Joan, we booked a couple of nights in a motel in Christchurch and headed off down the line... the newly opened State Highway One that is, which had been closed for one year, one month and one day due to the Kaikoura earthquake.
We were awestruck to see the power Mother Nature had wrought upon the landscape and were equally amazed at the engineering feats mankind had used to overcame Mother Nature's carnage. On our trip south we made a deliberate decision not to cache so that we could get a true indication of how long the trip now took. For us that was four hours and fifteen minutes including the three comfort/morning tea stops totalling around half and hour. A pretty good effort we thought and just over half the time it took us last time we went by the other route.
It is Day 2 of our visit to Christchurch and what better way to start the day than cache Hagley Park. I had even done some prep and solve a couple of the puzzle caches here that were within my capabilities. We had come dressed for summer and today didn't live up to that expectation. While all the locals were rugged up for temperatures in the low to mid teens, we were grinning and baring it (literally) and absolutely freezing. I think the temperature must have had an affect on our caching abilities as we DNF'd our first effort, and by the time we got here another couple of elusive caches had been added to the list of the unfound. I think we have been spoiled by a multitude of bumandworker caches further north that have watered down our ability to find decent hides. All was not lost because by the time we left Hagley Park the score was 13 to 3 in our favour.
This was one of those puzzles I mentioned above that I solved in preparation for my visit to Christchurch. It is the first time I have come across this cipher in a cache, but recognised it from a previous visit to a useful caching website that we have used in the past. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to get to the cache because the area was fenced off for the Boxing Day One Day Cricket match between the Black Caps and the West Indies, but fortunately as we got closer, it turned out the cache was on the right side of the fence for us to find.

I recognised the cipher straightaway upon looking at the cache description, so I decoded it between hunting for caches. I punched in the final coordinates and found that the final was sufficiently nearby to do a grab. Made my way to the cache, but had to make a slight detour due to some fencing being in place. Found the GZ, circled it and came up with the cache. TFT?
A quick find on a walk in South Hagley Park this afternoon. I had solved the puzzle some time ago without difficulty, there are several others like it around NZ. Signed log , TFTC!

I am down in the S. Island for a few days staying with a friend and and we went walk about or drive about each day to find a couple of caches each day These caches in the S Hagley park were our goal this day. Once i had a little nudge about how to solve this style cache it was plain sailing and it also meant i could solve a similar puzzle up in the North Island! I must say that i took quite a while at GZ as my GPS had me about 5 m. to the right but finally i had it in hand, signed and replaced without any muggles in sight at all. Thank you for this puzzle and cache, and another smiley face.
We found it! Solved after reading it aloud and thinking what does that have to do with [hint] w cab165
Found with odgersaj when he was doing 100 in a month! Signed the log back then but didn't do the online bit so logging now. Thank you!!
Thanks for this puzzle. Nice and easy to figure out. And a touch of humour too. Perfect. Today was a cool and windy day. Cricket was being played and a lot of players and other folks around. I was muggled by the grounds keeper. Had to take another approach, and increased my T value to reach the obvious GZ. All good fun. Cache is in good condition. All added up to a fun experience. FP for this one. Cheers. BJ25.
