Crossed back and forth multiple times between traffic and checked all hiding places thoroughly. Dosnt seem to be here, unless the hider has found an ingenious place for a mint tin!
**21,968**It may have been because traffic was reasonably light but we didnt see any cars run a red light whilst we were finding, retrieving and replacing this cache. They were all very well behaved. Maybe, it was just a chill time of night. TFTC
Found the cache! Log book in alright condition, but cache is missing lid. Watch out for spiders and cobwebs had a huge one (by nz standards) just jump out of the cache! Cool spot and lots of traffic. TFTC! No pen today so I added a photo.
We parked nearby and wandered across to search for this cache. Thankfully it did not take too long to find as the intersection was still busy after 5 on a Saturday. As the previous finder mentioned, the lid is missing but the log is still in good condition. (Sorry we did not have a replacement on us).
Each time I go past I 'casually' inspect one place on this intersection. After a view visits today was my lucky day - found!Cache is missing it's lid, otherwise fine.TFTC
#695Took advantage of a gap in the rain to nab this cache. I had a pretty good idea of what the cache would be; however, a quick find it was not! I was fooled by the GPS but success came when I expanded the search area. Thanks for the hide!
I went on a small walk with my mum to get it, she was freezing in the cold :sob: it wasnt hard to find but i was skeptical of the cache as it was wrapped in black tape and looked somewhat like hidden drugs.
Nice quick find all though trying during rush hour wasn't the best idea got a few weird looks
I wanted to try GSAK and really give it a good go. With the recent caching day with Team SEAC, I found logging on the spot was hindering my "performance". After much research and C:GEO being my main squeeze, GSAK was the way to go.
I used to go to the near by gym so I knew this intersection well. Busy busy busy! Everyone had their blinkers on and weren't too concern with what this fella was doing. Having said that, I was as careful as I could have been. TFTC and thanks for my one a day

Watched a bunch of traffic as I was at the GZ, eventually I spotted it and timed my moment with the lights.
Signed and put back easily.
Thanks for the cache!

Cache is missing the and log is full, we grabbed a piece of paper and tucked inside for the next person, TFTC
Great quick easy find . Have always wanted to take the kids to tick this one off however traffic is always terrible. So thank you Corona!
Not going to get many quieter traffic days than this, being day 3 of lockdown. Log VERY full but squeezed PBB on. Glad to turn this into a smiley. SL TFTC
We've crossed here before and tried to look, but not found it. This morning, however, we were in luck. We grabbed the cache just as we crossed to check for hand sanitiser at the chemist (they're sold out like everywhere else!) & I managed to use a pen at the Dr's reception to sign the log with noone noticing.
Replaced the cache on our return crossing...
TFTC!
The log sheet is very full.

Great spot but didn’t hang around for long as very wary of people watching. Will be back
#847. It was 12:30 in the morning so not at all difficult to find this cache, sign it and return it. So thanks for the cache, 84 days of caching in a row now!
Log is full and has been since 2017.

Arrangement made to travel to Auckland again. So by the time we all met up and vehicle loaded with cachers from Huntly, Rotorua and me from Papamoa plus 2 bikes we headed north. First back to Highbrook to collect balance of caches that we had missed previously. Once this was done we widened search patterns including new caches at Panmure Basin. Weather today not the best so we cut the day short and headed for home. Caches signed as Team HRP.
Thanks to all cache owners for placements. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... It’s been a few months since we all ventured out together. We enjoyed catching up, swapping stories, and the usual banter. Time seemed to pass quickly, as it does when you have good company...
Since the weather wasn’t looking too hot, we decided we needed to stay close enough to our vehicle. When our caching options were tabled, beginning in Highbrook seemed to be favoured...
Timing and speed are essential here. We crossed over and went straight for the cache. Meanwhile, motorists seemed far too close for comfort. We waited for a light change to return to the mainland to sign off, and another change to return the cache. TFTC.

Up in Auck for the day with Abcdf4, Fap & Gap,and Squiral Nutcase,
to tidy up a few loose ends, nice easy find.

Agreed, timing is critical here, but if you wait for a change in phase, its another bunch of muggles who still have no idea, TFTC
Hi-vis jacket in my case and little inspection here and there and cache in hand. Loogbook is full. TFTC
I have been meaning to get this so annoying cache for such an annoying amount of time! Finally, very late at night, even though there were several cars... me and FMZ made a lucky break to get this one without anyone spotting us!
I'm back in Auckland for the weekend, and the weather looks far too dodgy for me to try to go too far from where I am staying in Pakuranga, so thought I would have another go at some of the local ones that I had failed to find on previous visits.
This happens to be the second cache I ever tried (and failed) to find in Auckland. I hadn't had another go at this one until today simply due to the awkward nature of trying to surreptitiously search for a cache in the middle of tons of traffic!
As others have reported, the tin has lost its lid, but otherwise all is fine.
It's always great to knock off a cache that I'd failed with before, and to turn that blue frown into another yellow smiley.
Thanks for the placement.

Great weather for a little Geocaching Tour! I could spot a couple of Caches in the area around Burswood.
Last one for today at a very busy place.
Thanks for hiding!

Log is FULL and lid of container is gone.
TRAFFIC wasn't bad but still hard not to be noticed I'd think. Hopefully sneaky enough between traffic.

A fantastic day out cacher hunting with the family, cache and log in good condition, thank you for placing the cache
Didn't see the previous DNF until we were reading the logs between lights. We were wondering if this was still there, but we had found quite a few caches after a DNF log, so we decided to have another look. There aren't many places to hide a cache on these things, just tricky looking with muggles and traffic from all directions (we even had cops at the next intersection over)! Log is pretty tattered and full, but otherwise all good. Tftc
Even in the evening this one took a bit of time and effort. We crossed the intersection a few times before we found it. Hidden very well for a cache that size. We signed the log in the car and I made the trip to put it back. Thanks!
After a tough week had been needing to get the hell out of Hamilton for a bit and grab a few numbers. So leaving home at 5am with HKCB we had a route all planned and goals in mind we headed for a few caches in south Auckland along with working our way up towards Botany.
When we left home it was dark, when we arrived home it was dark, so all in all not a bad days caching with 52 caches found along the way. There were lots of laughs and solving of the worlds problems along the way, but the one thing neither of us could grasp was how can people bear to live in such a rabbit warren? still that remains a question for the universe.
Thanks to all the cache owners for putting them out and continuing with the maintenance

I was invited to head out with C&D on another caching trip, this time to Auckland to focus on the hides in the Dannemora and Flast Bush areas, plus a couple of other cache clusters a bit further South. An early start meant we got the most out of the day with over 50 finds, on a wide range of caches, which varied the day nicely. I myself had no specific plan for the day, bar there were a couple of puzzle caches in the area which I had solved and was hoping to finally claim the smilie for.
All in all another great day out caching, with the weather gods on our side (bar being very wet underfoot in a few parks), some great hides and as usual great company. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.
Just acted like we knew what we were doing and got the hide without issue.

Being a public holiday the traffic was a lot quieter than it would normally be but I'm sure Mrs Jag50, Aiden29 and myself provided plenty of entertainment to anyone watching as we tried to look innocent as we surreptitiously searched for the cache.
Joined up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 on a quiet public holiday so had the place to ourselves. As we approached GZ we had previously noticed the flashing lights of a police car but by the time we got here it was gone. Only after we had found and signed the log, did we realise that the police car was across the road.
Made plans with Jag50 and merlot58 to find all the caches in Highbrook. This was very hard even on a public holiday. The three of us tried to find the cache in between the traffic while trying to look very unsuspicious but probably ended up looking very suspicious to those waiting at the traffic lights.
Another quick find again looking as though I was a worker who was supposed to be there...cheers V.
Tftc. While this cache isn't recommended for children they make a good diversion. My grandson. did a great Impersonation of some one with prickle in the shoe so we had to stop on the traffic island to remove it.
Decided to quickly get this one while others were at the shops. I had a fair idea where this one would be hidden and it was in the first place where I looked. The hardest part was the stealth! Luckily I had a jacket with me which helped shield muggles' gazes and made sure that I only replaced the cache when the traffic was moving. TFTC
Stroll, stroll, stroll, grab, stroll, stroll, sign stroll, replace, stroll, stroll, stroll. YAY! TFTC
Came back for another search and this time my gps led me straight to it. Strange but always a good feeling to find the cache after a dnf. Signed and returned. TFTC
Had a thorough night search and could find it. Looked in all the likely place but but came up wth nothing. Will have to come back at a busier hour to look again.
Quite easy to find, signed and returned but had to walk a small distance away to avoid the watchful gaze of muggles
I was in the area and needed a cache for the day and had put this one off many times as it's so busy. But I guess today was the day to pluck up the courage to attempt this one. I think my stealth tactics of pretending to search through my handbag next to where the cache was worked as I didn't seem to get any dodgy looks or glances so the cache was quickly found, signed and returned TFTC!
Had the cloaks of invisibility from an earlier find so donned them again and went in for the find. Barely needed them as there was so little traffic out today
Like the penguins of Madagascar while stranded on an island... just smile and wave boys... smile and wave...
This one was a lot of fun. Tried to be as stealthy as possible but probably raised a lot of suspicion
#14 of 50 day streak. No muggles no red light runners easy park and grab this morning. Tftc
Finally got this one with Ric today after driving past it several times last year!
Thanks UncleSam NZ

Thought there would not be much traffic on a Sunday, WRONG. Still managed to do the job OK and head on our way. Tftc.
Do NOT try this at 3pm when the roads are packed, when people keep looking at you, and when you only have a few minutes before an appointment!!! Those lights change too quickly too lol, no time to look! This one is still in my hit list... I will return!!!
So it turns out that even at 11pm at night there was still a bit of traffic traffic traffic!!! Felt very conspicuous as I was still in my uniform for the evening, which, in my case, makes me look a bit strange hunting for a cache on the side (in the middle?) of the road! I think I'm supposed to appear non-dodgy. Failed there!!!
Not ashamed to admit I had a bit of a male look at first, trying to look normal whenever the lights changed and traffic pulled up. The road may have been crossed once or twice in my efforts to appear normal.... or three times....
Finally decided to have a real good look in the place where I had originally thought it would be. Turns out, you should trust your geo-instincts, and just look harder. Well, what do you know, a cache! But I'm glad to have finally got this one.... it had been bugging me, as I drive past it reasonably often!!!
TFTC.... now I'd better get out of here before someone alerts the cops..... lol!

There was still Traffic Traffic Traffic at the intersection late this evening, but at least there were big enough gaps to easily retieve and return the cache. We still did as suggested and walked on before signing. Thanks.
Mr F stayed in the car and had a good spot to watch me try out my stealth skills. The light shower probably helped as people need to concentrate more on driving and less on pedestrians. Did this in a few stages. Saw it from where I was standing, waited for the lights to change and cars to drive off beside me, grabbed it, crossed and went back to the car/shelter to sign the log, and went back and did the reverse.
Felt very conspicuous on my own, so came back with a friend so we could pretend to be engrossed in conversation while waiting for the lights to change.
Stealth is definitely required for this one. The easy way i found was to pretend to tie my shoe and grab it then. Tftc
