This one hasn’t had a genuine find since 2019. I checked on the way past today and it wasn’t where I found it.
Time for something new.
Thanks Corika.
Time for something new.
Thanks Corika.
I searched for quite some time and found some nice hiding spots, but no luck. The images of previous finds were no help. Give that it hasn’t been found by multiple cachers since late last year, I am assuming that it was muggled, since it is a nice resting place not only for cachers
I found the perfect place for a large cache, near the PZ, but it was empty. I'm afraid this one is gone...
Love it has an apocalyptic vibe! And is there a trackable geocache hiding in there ️

Tuesday. It was a beaut walk to this cache. Steps nearly all the way! This cache was quickly spotted and log signed. Good sized container for this spot. There are few spots to look here for a container, and my compass wasn’t happy with the amount of rocks around, so decided to go round and round. Left 4 TBs for future finders along this way . Take your pick or take all. They would love to be moved on to another location.
This was the 12th of 15 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***corikra***, for showing us this place.

Awesome views from here. Slow puncture and I were not lazy today and Went up steps to get to this cache. Loved the workout . We have decided to keep going up. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
While staying in Townsville and needing some exercise we decided to hike the Dianella Track on Castle Hill.
The cache name is very appropriate
We grabbed the trackable and will move it along on our travels.
Many thanks for the hide and the enjoyable hike corikra....a favourite point on it’s way

Took the lazy option apparently - waiting for the muggles to clear at the lookout I ducked down the hill to this cache safe and sound, then gasped back up to the lookout around midday.
Cache is in good nick, thanks corikra

Legs definitely needed a break at this cache. Lovely views and a well deserved rest here with TheSills. Thanks for the effort with this series and for giving us more motivation to try this track SL TNLN TFTC
Geokid needed a break by the time we got to this one. But the hike was worth it. Left a coin and rewarded the Geokid with a Tamagotchi.
When we arrived at GZ it looked like there was some heavy work around the lath done. We weren't sure if the cache survived, but it actually was still nice and tidy in it's hiding spot. TFTC!
Cardiac cache is aptly named!! Enjoying some shade and views post cache find. Corikra, thank you for this thoughtful series of caches.
Went for a walk to it (down, cause we were laaazy ). And found that there were some track upgrades happening so we couldn't get closer. Should be finished in another month or so.
Picked up the trackable while walking the hill with BlackPearl.
Cache is in good condition.
Thanks Corikra.

A quick dash on a warm day (with lots of water) was rewarded by this find !
Dropped a TB as well.
Thanks for the cache, corika !

Easy stroll from here to the top. A few of these types of caches around TVL! Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC
I arrived at the top of the hill at 7am on Sunday, expecting to see no-one at that hour. I am not from Townsville and was very surprised to see lot's of people walking up and down the hill. People of all ages. It was great to see. I tackled this cache from the top. You don't realise how unfit you are till you throw in a hill. TFTC
Out for a quick walk up the mountain before a day of workshops. thanks for the hides A reward for the hike. great views from this one by this time I was joined by many other hikers who wondered why I was off trail.
Came uphill from 'the big picture' cache, can't think of a more hotter humid afternoon in years, was absolutely knackered by the time I reached this one, my boys picked a good time to stay home in the air con!

On a hill caching mission with frullet Jr. Last one for today, it was bit warm and frullet Jr was starting to complain about the heat and the terrain but he did well. Found quickly and in excellent condition. Thanks for the hide:-)
Heute diesen Cache durch jung-Sheilinkateam besucht und im Auftrag von Sheilinkateam den TB "Sheilinka's Australien Reise" abgelegt. Ein großes MERCI an Nick&Nathi
2nd find. Loving geocache. Awesome view. Had nothing to swap so left items alone.
Walked around for a while look under stuff and found it nicely nestled Left a Trackable!
Walking up with *Filip* and his mum this cool Friday arvo.
The walk up was the best so far, mostly thanks to the cool weather but maybe I have improved a little bit with the earlier walks up the hill.
Always good to find a larger container like this one, Thanks!

On Castle Hill looking for another cache and decided to finish off the Dianella Track series. I found the first two when they were published back in August 2013. After a brief search at the GZ, a nice sized cache container was soon located.
Took and left nothing. Log signed. The cache container and contents were found to be in excellent condition. Finding this cache has now given me a total find count of 1261.
Thanks for the Cache hide corikra

Nana could find this one.
But lazy.
No way.
The bananas were walking back to the Airport and this was on the way.
Don't expect many people walk to and from the airport and double up with some treasure hunting.
But B1found this after walking down from the top of the hill.
It is just a different way to tackle it.
Love this game.

Staying at a caravan park in Townsvillle, on our 3rd trip around Australia.
Today, we decided to tackle a few caches on Castle Hill.
Geo-wife tackled this walk, as geo-hubby planned to walk another trail.
She took the lazy approach, and the walk was broken up by finding a cache or 3.
Cache was located after a short search, T: coin, L; horse.
Many thanks for placing this cache, corikra, to give us a little exercise.

Found it, woot! Enclosed footwear recommended. But there are bandaids in the cache if you happen to graze yourself.
Our cache today was our last to get on the Dianella Track. Before we headed off from the cemetery we smothered ourselves in RID as we knew what was waiting for us a little further up the track. We heard them buzzing around us but this time none of them landed to take a blood sample.
The diversion off the track was a welcome break for us and geoP had soon spotted the prize. The replacement was timed in between passing muggles. We were soon back on our way up the tack and onto the top of the hill.
A nice view from GZ today.

Since we had just done the other three caches we just had to get this one.
The name is very apt.
One at the GZ Cat made the find nice and quick.
Now to get back to the car......

Climbing the hill with GeoWife on a track we haven't travel before. Loved grabbing the caches as we went.
This one was our last on the trail and the end of the trail for us. It was all down hill from here.
A nice easy find.

I came from the other side of the hill . U can see it if you are looking from the right direction . Of course u had to walk around in circles till I spotted it. No mugglers today so lovely spot to sit & admire the view cause it's an overcast morning & quite pleasant wandering around. TFTC no pen so BYO. Cheers
Nice detour off the track to any nice viewing point. TFTC .... Heart rate up at this point haha
Last cache for 2013. And what a beauty! I just love a wee hill climb. Although, I was feeling a little worse for wear after my climb up here in the mid afternoon sun.
There was no shade at GZ, so I was keen to make a quick find and then take a break in the shade. There was no way I was continuing higher today either!
Signed the log, admired the view and headed off to the pool for a swim.
Thanks for the cache, Corikra. Happy New Year!

Well i didn't think I would get here but slow and steady i made it. Took iso drink left pen. I would go to the top now but it puts me further from the car. TFTC awesome view from here.
You are right - a cardiac workout and I needed it. Great view, lovely breeze so I sat and SL. Left some OZ cent coins TFTC
So having decided to push on to the top I wasn't regretting anything as more and more steps appeared in front of me! I walked on up and up but wasn't watching the pointer so found myself some 40m past GZ when I turned back. I must have been enjoying myself too much. Climbed the small peak and spotted the classic container. Signed the log and replaced with the camo. I should have dropped the TBs into this one actually. There are two names in the online log that don't appear in the logbook too just like the last one.
I decided I was feeling so energetic that I climbed the rest of the way up to the road just so I could say I'd done it. It was quite the walk back down again though. I've walked up and down Mt Sinai so nothing is quite as bad as that but memories came flooding back.
Thanks!

Made it! Great to find a cache with such cool swag. Made some swaps and was glad I didn't need to swap for any of that first aid gear. TFTC

It really was a pleasant walk to the top and this cache was a quick find. T: GC LN Thanks corikra for another series of quality caches in Townsville.
We were just finishing up breakfast when Pagan saw the notification. Hmm.. 20 minutes ago, do we have a chance? Decided to get the exercise anyway since we needed a cache for the day and we set off. Loki mistakenly thought it was at the bottom of the hill and so we had no water, no sunscreen. [:o] Should have read that description better. We lugged ourselves up to the cache and happily were *ftf* [^]. Then back down and home for a drink. Not long after arriving home, Pagan checked his phone again and realised there were not 1 but 4 new caches on the hill!!! @*^!&@^$&!^#$&(*!^$#$@*!&@*$&@!*&$(*@!&$*(&!@)^$!@^$ Arrghgh! Well nothing like sharing around the ftf's I guess and we have some more caches in walking distance for the next few days and a good excuse to get some exercise. There's always a silver lining right?? . We're not going to live this one down for a while I think... . Thanks for the fun corikra
