Searched for over an hour, taking breaks when the muggle population got too high, but unfortunately found nothing. We were a bit concerned that perhaps it has been moved or tampered with since it hasn't been found in over 6 months and the last three searchers reported DNF as well. Might be worth a maintenance check. Was otherwise a nice spot and a very nice park. Hopefully we will have better luck next time
Another cache that evaded me today... that's two in a row, fingers crossed I find the next one..
No luck for me today. Had some precious finders helping and couldn't come up with the goods. Bummer.
Yes, very clever hide.
Log a little damp, but still able to sign it.

Last cache of the day for us as it’s approaching 40 degrees. What a nice way to commemorate Pope JPII’s visit here. Very clever hide. Now off to cool off at the movies and see Peter Rabbit. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
TFTH worked with sweetaussie who actually found it! This was her first geocache
Another great Cache by dkmacca.
On my way to work and thought this would be a nice little cache to find before hand. It stumped me for a while on where it is and for a while i was barking at the wrong tree so to speak because my GpS was out. But after it settled down i knew i was near GZ.
Thinking like dkmacca i quickly spotted a possible location and before I knew it i had the CIH.
Heaps of people around witch made it a bit harder. Expecially in a Big old Blue checkered work uniform. The log is safe and dry and returned to where I found it.

P.s i have a broken wrist and cant write small so sorry i used so many lines.

Find 3292 on April 23, 2017 09:24, with many thanks to dkmacca for deploying and maintaining Pope's Garden. With love from Brüttisellen, Switzerland.

Cycled over to this one just before a rain storm. Only a few minutes to be rocked. Good bit of construction for this cache. Many thanks to **dkmacca** for establishing this special place geo cache and maintaining it.
This cache was found quickly and easily before it start to rain. The log was signed and the cache was replaced as found. Thank you dkmacca for placing this cache.
Dkmacca I love your style. Met the Showgrounds caretaker who offered us a hint.. tftc
Stopped for lunch in the showground and had to find this one while I was here. Not hard to find, but I like the camo.
I found where the cache was meant to be but it's been taken out and there was no sign of the container or log anywhere nearby.
I had around 40 mins mealbreak today before I had to be back at Blacktown station. Desperate for a cache today to get my Halloween souvenir and this was the one I put my money on. Thank goodness the map makes things look further away than they really are. Back in time for some lunch as well as the cache Loved the camo too, so all of that earns a fave point from me-thanks!
* Damn! A day late for the souvenir, forgot about the time difference-doh!!

Found with Minyakano while out catching Pokemon in the showground. Thanks for the cache
I like what they've done with this park. Nice quiet spot for a little search and find. TFTC.
We were in the park today for a Christmas in July lunch so I took the opportunity to go and have a look for this one.
I nice straightforward find in the obvious location.
Thanks dkmacca for the cache.

Well I thought to myself I need a break from everything. So I packed my bags and headed out the door and headed for nsw/Canberra. And the goal was to find some caches along the way so here we are. Thanks for taking me to this location. TFTC.
Clever hide. Found it with geo-son & geo-nephew on a beautiful Sunday. Forgot a pen so we took a pic. TFTC.
A quick and easy find whilst visiting the water playground with the grand kids. Cache and log in good shape and still well hidden.

I, like others, searched the wrong structure but the signal brought me back to the correct one and the hide revealed itself.

I had one of those caching moments where the cords were so spot on that I walk right up to GZ and looked down to the obvious object...perfect for when I'm on the way to work and in need of a "quickie." If ya know what I mean?
Found this one with my family how long ago was that I remember being in the Show Ground when he landed
This one wasn't really a DNF, as we realised we couldn't get in at 9pm. We shall have to return another day when the park is open. Should have read the cache notes first
Found it easy find

11/09/15. 8:51 AM. Cache #2978. Streak day #446.
2nd of 6 today.
Came here after a find of "Train Spotter - Roma" nearby. Having not read the description to this one, I made an assumption that Pope was referring to a popular brand of sprinkler, which led me to a false assumption on the type of container. Then when I got to GZ and saw that the actual Pope had been here I realised that this meant the type of cache could have been anything. Luckily, it was in the first place I looked, anyway! Off to another Train Spotter next, this time the one at London Street. TFTC.

Found with Coybear2000. We arrived at the showground and my GPS would not settle on GZ. Looked at one structure initially, before deciding from the name that another structure would be more likely. Soon had CIH. TFTC
Found with Jase90 during a day out in Western Sydney in an effort to help me get closer to reaching my milestone goal of 2,000 finds at the last ever Geocaching Block Party in Seattle this August. We started over at Prospect with Madness Gateway and Sydney's Newest- Relocated. Then onto Pemulwuy for William Lawson and Veteran Hall, and then across to Blacktown for Pope's Garden, Train Spotter - Roma and URBAN SV (where we had a long chat with the Cache Owner, nice to meet you!). Back in Prospect we then found Quick park & Grab, for the streakers., For Marissa & Mel's streak, Home Sweet Home, Time to Commuicate. (is it meant to be Communicate?) and Prospect Park First Cache. Heading over to Seven Hills, Jase90 and I continued on to tackle Nice little park & grab and Snowy Reserve Cache. In Girraween we found the Former Railway Corridor Toongabbie, then in Pendle Hill we grabbed Knox's Box and our final stop out west was in Old Toongabbie where we picked up Spot the Geoduck.
On the way back home, we decided we could fit in a few more and we stopped by North Rocks and found 4,3,2,1 and Measure Up. We then finished off the day in Ryde and Eastwood with Up The Garden Path and Beanstalk respectively.
All in all, a fun day out with Jase90 and we picked up some beauties along the way. For all of the caches, I Signed Log and Took Nothing Left Nothing. A successful day out in terms of find rate! Thanks For The Caches to all of the respective Cache Owners.

Found at 9:35am with JordsAU.
JordsAU and myself were out on a day of caching trying to boost our numbers in the area's of Prospect, Blacktown and a couple of other surrounding suburbs. We started as early as possible this morning so we could obtain a decent amount of smileys. We were also heading to the footy in Moore Park later on in the afternoon which meant that we needed to be finished and to head back by 1:30pm.
I have not done any caches out this way in my 3-year Geocaching career but JordsAU had acquired a small handful over the years which meant that we needed to stick to caches unfound to the both of us. It didn't seem to prove too difficult as there were plenty around.
The weather today was stunning, barely cold in the early morning and it even became quite hot in the late morning.
'Pope's Garden' was the 4th of 19 caches we ticked off today. We had done a couple of caches on the other side of the motorway around Prospect but we came to grab a morning coffee at 7/11 and begin our cache hunting over this side. We took the long way around to find this cache not knowing that there was a more direct path. We got there eventually and searched for a couple of minutes before JordsAU made the find.
A well camo'd cache and suitable for its surroundings. Took us a while to get the log back in as it was a tight fit but in the end it was all smiles.
Signed log, Thanks for the cache dkmacca

Great hide plus looks like the log has been replaced Found with the beautiful ShirleenE.
A reason to visit Blacktown was Featherdale wildlife park. As the weather was bad, I have found here only one cache. Thanks!
GPS couldn't really decide where GZ should be, however the hint guided me to the correct general area and it wasn't long before I spotted another classic dkmacca hide. SL and replaced, I had not been to this park before, it looks like Blacktown Council had made substantial investment in the area, making it a great place to bring the family, which I now plan to do. TFTC dkmacca and thanks for bringing me to this new place!
found it easy enough however it might need a little tlc from the owner as when i was unscrewing the cap the whole tube came out of the hide.
#149 walked around the area first thing I found was the log which covered from 26/1/15 to 21/2/15 which was damp, tried to dry it out as best I could with my shirt so I could sign the log. Hunted around some more and located the cache. There was the older one inside, put the 2 logs back together and rehid. Thanks for the cache
Finish work and was on my way home so stopped in to found this cache. Found and signed log
