A long country drive to arrive at this location, and I didn't realise that there was still an active quarry in this area. There was a couple of cars with quarry workers at the nearby intersection, so I drove past and parked, and then I ventured up through the scrub, and continued along the boundary. I felt like I would look quite suspicious and get the eyes of the workers, but they didn't seem too concerned my with my unusual visit, and this allowed me to grab the cache without issue; The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Slow Puncture (LJCC)](https://coord.info/PR7770T) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. ---------- Today, my general plan was a northern expedition towards Dayboro, noting that I still had several clusters of ex-Dayboro Mega caches yet to be found. Along the way, I stopped at Cedar Creek Falls and hiked towards Love Creek Falls, and then continued to Dayboro for a bakery lunch. I then continued to head north-east towards Burpengary, and stopped at Caboolture Region Environmental Education Centre (CREEC) to complete the [Burpengary C.R.E.E.C.](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/238e69db-725c-4a77-b5c4-42b7bb4a245b) Adventure Lab.

We are staying in the area finding some of the great caches placed around and this is one we found today. We parked close by and followed the hint to where the little cache was spotted. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Slow Puncture for this cache.
Eskies5, kestal and I were off on another adventure in the area and this was one of the caches found today. Nice to be in Slow Puncture territory. Thanks for the cache, SP!
Eskies5, Caro and myself were on our way home now, we took the long way via a few caches including some that had been sitting on the solved pile for quiet some time. This traditional was on the way so we stopped to make the find. If the log was small we signed our named as ECK. TFTC Slow Punture
Off on an overnight geocaching adventure with Caro and Kestal to pick up a few of the many caches still unfound by us around Dayboro. TFTC Slow Puncture.
TFTC. We had spent a lot of time in the previous period of time solving puzzles in preparation for out time at the Dayboro Mega. We spent the day with good friends muff1 collecting solved puzzles and other caches as we passed by. A great day doing some free fishing and cache finding. 46 in total for the day. I think we managed to finalise the Geosaurus series in the process
We made the decision to spend another week at the Dayboro showgrounds to give ourselves the opportunity to find more of the many caches that have been placed in the area. Finally the rain has nearly become non existent and bar for one short heavy burst it has been a rain free day. The area is still showing signs of all the rain we have had recently with the creek flowing fast and in places the roads are covered. We found all of the caches that we attempted today but one. SL TFTC
Out with TMZ59 attacking the Geosaurus series on a wet day.

24,235. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes, Smittengranny and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 5. An early and still wet start today with an aim of caching our way through finishing some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way. This was the next stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks CacheQLD and all the other Cache owners !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
After a slow start due to the rain, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS!, Albida33 and Smittengranny (signing logs as MiNiFiGAS!) to tackle the balance of We <3 Geo and Geosaurus, as well as Agatha Christie and part of the Coat of Arms Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a great catch-up at the Tropi-Cal Party.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Fun fact: Apparently it helps if you listen to your navigator…
Signed today as MINIFIGAS! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965, Albida33 and Smittengranny to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. It was another very wet day making some of the driving a little tricky, but we still managed some awesome caching. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. We had a truly awesome day!
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

Dayboro trip. Day 10. Day two of the Mega weekend. I again joined Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss for a full day of caching after a bit of time spent at mega HQ for catch up and learning. It was another wet day, but not as bad as it could have been. We mostly visited solved puzzles in the nearby Geo-art, but also did the other caches that we passed along the way. The day ended up in another remote part of the area, that meant a difficult wet drive home along narrow maintainous roads. All in all another fun day with great company.

Mega Day! It is wet with constant passing showers, so wet feet is the order of the afternoon.
We (hatzofff, Grannysmith1947 and myself) commenced our geocaching adventures after lunch at the Lions Park Multi, completing it at 1.30pm, and finished some 28 caches later at #1 A Country Drive by 6.31pm, in time to get back to Mega for the Trivia night.
Most of our target caches were to complete Orange Crew's Geosaurus series, giving me the satisfaction of now completing all the geoart in the Dayboro region of the Morton Bay LGA.
The second target was the Tree Fishing caches.
Overall the roads were sealed, but one was a bit unsealed road was a bit messy on the uphill section.
Fortunately, most of the time we managed to avoid the heavy showers.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 28, 2021. TFTC, Slow Puncture (LJCC).

Today we were out and about around the Dayboro on a pre mega caching run with Gunnie69 and NurseyJulie, who were both getting some numbers for some milestone achievement at the mega. The forecast was for some rain, but in the most part it kept away. The plan was to hunt down some Geosauruses, maybe the odd pacman running loose, or even a horse or two galloping around the countryside. And of course find the odd bit of geo love along those quaint country roads.
Thanks Slow Puncture (LJCC) for the cache, the hunt and the smiley today! [D]

Missed the best approach to this one, so had to backtrack and take the less elevated first step toward GZ. Guided in by the GPS, Ghostgums, NurseyJulie and I surveyed the area and the container was quickly revealed. You're right, you can't miss it...
Logging admin taken care off, cache replaced as found, This was the second last cache in this series that we retrieved today.

The rain had caused us to consider calling it a day but we decided to at least have a bit of a country drive even if it didn’t involve any caching. As luck would have it, the rain eased just as we reached this cache, leaving us to deal only with a wet environment. A nice quick find in this quiet part of the world once we had wandered over to GZ. TFTC Slow Puncture (LJCC)
The rain chased us all the way out here, but paused just long enough for us to saunter through the soaking wet foliage towards GZ. It’s nice when a geocache is hidden in the obvious geocaching hiding spot – and I quite liked the simplicity of this little hide. A lovely country drive it was indeed.

WOW! What an Epic day.
Several months ago (around March), I discussed with geonayfee how great it would be to complete the unique difficulty terrain challenge and also complete a personal challenge for ourselves of 100 local caches in a day, our previous best was 50 plus.
So with a lot of planning and weeks of solving puzzles we had an area in mind (Dayboro) and a plan was coming together. Oh this is not going to work unless we get some extra help, so I asked Willis007 and Team Tyrrell if they would be interested in our plan and would they like to be part of it. They both agreed and all was looking good until Team Tyrrell got called away for work. A discussion was had and we decided to still go ahead with the day, it just means a little extra work and an earlier start.
The plan was to complete, it was the three Geoart series and a few trads along the way as we passed them. We meet on the roadside outside Dayboro and proceeded to start with a few of the pacman series before heading west to complete the newly placed paddle caches (thank you), from there it was basically complete a section and get whatever, making sure we did not have to back track too much. There was a lot of driving and running to caches, the only thing that slowed us down was the time spent looking for ambiguous caches and hints that didn’t match the cache placement, but with multiple eyes looking it did help in finding the caches.
All in all it was a fantastic day, great team work and a lot of checking maps with some fun and laughs along the way. A big thank you to all the CO’s of the caches we visited, most of the caches were in good order, while I don’t remember all the caches, some did stand out, of those I have added a footnote below of the notes I took on the day, again thank you.

A great day all round - beautiful weather, co-operative caches and good company. My tally today is 90 finds, amongst this is my 2000th cache.
Apologies for the generic logs. I do sincerely appreciate the work involved with placing and maintaining caches.

While Fangsoki kept watch in the car, therefore allowing the aircon to stay running, I headed up and across to make a quick find.

After setting up camp at the Dayboro showgrounds for a few days we are having a wonderful time meandering around this beautiful area. A wonderful variety of hides and we love the creative ones. Thankyou Slow Puncture (LJCC) for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Found as we walked along the fence line. There was an eery feel emanating from the property beyond - not sure what it was but we hot footed it out of there.
Having a few days around Dayboro collecting the geoart, other puzzles and some traditional caches as well. Seeing lots of wonderful countryside and meeting some locals as we venture around the rural roads. In between dinosaur hunting, we came across some other caches with names befitting our country drive touring today. It does feel like we are way out in the country, but actually only a small drive from the suburbs...
We wandered up and down the boundary a few times before sticking a hand in where we might not usually want to and retrieving the cache. In doing so we disturbed an ant's nest with lots of eggs, so there might be some angry insects awaiting the next finder.
