HS and I had a lovely day out in the countryside. Prior to our trip South to attend the mega, HS had said to me that I must get the cache at Seaview as it was very old. Young Sis needed to go on a long run in preparation for the Queenstown half, so I put our two ideas together. Young Sis had her run, and HS and I found our caches. Thank you Heafudd.
A day out of the city and to visit Seacliff Virtual cache. we had lunch at the Blue skin cafe and visited other caches on our way I came down to dunedin for the mega and i was lucky enough to have a fellow geocacher who had a sister in Dunedin which meant we had a place to stay which was marvellous and over the 6-7 days i visited so many caches that some have become a blur while others i remember well . We were lucky we had only a handful of DNF although i had not taken in to account the terrain of Dunedin and its many hills , gullies , streams and walk ways around these so that meant many of the caches i had planned to visit were not visited while others were. Unfortunately not all the albatross series - although solved - were some of the unvisited caches so they are there for another visit . when ever that maybe ! It was certainly helpful to have a local in our vehicle who knew where to go ! Thank you for this cache .
Hmm, well, not where it should be. Required quite a stretch to pull it up from ground level and get it signed, hopefully it stays up in the hole and dosen't drop down again. Cheers
Bit damp but able to sign ok. In Dunedin for Mega. Out with gdkja for an earlystart to the weekend. TFTC
Day nine of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.A traveling day today from Oamaru to Dunedin (with a few caches on the side!)Took a while to locate the hint, but got there in the end. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 9 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We spent the night in Oamaru so we can visit Steampunk HQ today. After we left Oamaru we headed to Dunedin and collected a couple of caches along the way. Thanks for contributing to the fun Heafudd
Found it, defo doesn't fit the description of location, have to think outside the box for this one! Read through the comments for help if needed!
Great story about William Apes! An easy find once you found the right gate. We spent a little while at the wrong one but the coordinates were spot on. We should have trusted them.

Took a while to track down but got there in the end, as per the title, we shall not speak no evil about this cache...

Quickly grabbed this cache as it was in walking distance from a property we had a Trademe pick up from (all the way from Chch)
Others on this road were harder to get as stopping with a large 4wd and loaded trailer was a bit dicey.
Hope to come back through this way to get the rest of the series that I missed.

All good and this is placed with permission from owner so no need to shy away if you see them
Nice old iron gate. Thanks for showing it to us. Watch out for the electric fence when you reach through for the cache. Nice use of an old slide container. TFTC.
After a couple of very wet days in Dunedin, StreetWalkerNZ and I woke to a glimpse of blue sky and sun but with more rain predicted, we started early to make the most of the good weather on our drive north to Moeraki. Slowly making our way towards Moeraki, but via the scenic route.
Not a quick find as the co-ords seemed a bit out and we had trouble finding the hint object. Being behind an electric fence didn't help, as we didn't know if it was live or not. Good to make the find as it was starting to drizzle. TFTC.

#19178. Took us a while to spot the hint object; found soon after we located the hint object. TFTC.
Third in the series for me. Lovely to see the remains of the old farmhouse - would have completely missed it if it wasn't for geocaching. Quite special how these old remnants can be highlighted. TFTC
We are heading home from Palmerston early but time for this series. Speaking No Evil here today. This one is now snagged and tagged. Cheers
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today with a walk up Puketau in the mix.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Taking the back roads back to Dunedin after a day in Palmerston...
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

Husband was in charge of GPS yeah right! We got there in the end. Met the first car on the road here. Cool place for cache. TFTC
Straight to it. Easy find, lovely wee adventure off the main drag. Enjoying this a lot. Thank you!
Taking Mrs D Senior for a drive on a sunny afternoon - which is an excellent excuse to get the remaining monkeys on Apes Road off my back. Very interesting to see the remains of the old way into the farmhouse still here - there must have been gossiping over the garden gate in past years?
I found the hint item but couldn't find the cache anywhere. I was starting to feel a bit stupid (but I honestly didn't speak any evil) when I discovered there was a second hint item. A nice quick find after that. TFTC # 12,441
The only speaking done here was... "there's the old gate..." and "found it..." . Thanks for another smiley towards my planetary pursuit to Pluto.
Back on track with a quick find here. I thought the livestock would have taken more interest in what I was up to but it seems they have seen it all before.
Woke up in my stone cottage Airbnb in Ocean Grove to find that it had yet again rained overnight. But the dawn was crisp and clear so another day to look forward to with dry shoes and socks. If it carries on like this, I would have packed extra shoes and my wet weather gear for nothing. But I’m not complaining, I’m utterly sick of all the rain we have had over winter in the Manawatu.
Heading from Dunedin through the Pig Root to Alexandra for the day. Very excited, I did spend a lot of time driving this route when I lived in Oamaru and it is one of my favourite parts of the country.
Another quick find here. I’m making good progress this morning. TFTC

I drove up from Dunedin to to Oamaru today on my way to attend the weekend's Geofest Event. I ventured off the main highway a number of times to explore the country byways. There was of course the odd cache to find along the way as well. All in all a very pleasant trip with some interesting places and great views along the way. Cheers and TFTC

A quick find today while travelling around the area picking up a few. TFTC [^]
I like where you hid this one! even if I did spend time looking in the wrong place!
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim!

After a museum visit in the morning and lunch, it was time for a drive. It was raining on and off at our campsite but dry on this scenic country drive. Thanks for placing your geocaches in such a nice spot.
We have a goal of finding 500 caches by the end of the year and we are close but we still have a ways to go so we decided we better get out and get a few today! Luckily the weather stayed fine while we collected up a few more smilies.
Took a while to find this one but once I stopped trying to find it with the GPS and just think about it- there is was!

Great spot and a great day for some caching up the coast. It nice to get out in the sun today for a change and hoping it stays this nice for the day. TFTC
having spent a couple of days down in dunnas visiting my Prodigy KJR , it was time to head home to Geraldine so I decided to take a short detour.

Is there any better way to spend a balmy Easter Monday than tackling a few caches on Otagos coast?? T4TC!
Hevic and I spent the day exploring the northern part of Otago. Cache #13 of 23 was nearly overshot, but Hevic had the good sense to slow down well before my slow GPSr updated. We ended up almost on top of it, and managed to use the car as a muggle shield (not that we needed it at that point). Cheers!
Getting out of the car I found that I was right beside the hint object and I quickly located the cache. I was a little worried about the wire attached to the fence with insulators but i didn't receive any shock when I brushed against it on retrieving the cache. I took a little more care when replacing the cache.
Today, I was heading down towards Dunedin and - like on the previous days - wanted to find some caches along the way.
The virtual at Seacliff hospital sounded interesting and thus I did the 'Ape series' along the way. Having found the last remaining APE-cache in Brazil two years ago I thought this little trail sounded suitable.
I found all caches, twice I had to search for the a little bit longer.
TFTC!
