My idea was to drop off Young Sis at the top of Coast Road, and while the ran. HS and I would cache. Needless to say, Young Sis finished well before us, so we rendezvoused at a cafe for lunch. I had solved some of the puzzles so I was anxious to come back and search along this road. Thank you, Heafudd for this series.
Found I liked the matagouri tree NOT . we do not get these much in the North island but i do know all about them ! It was useful as it quickly identified the place where we were supposed to search and it was quickly located , signed and returned to it's hidey hole .WE went up to the Coast road to take sister up to the top of the road for her to run back down tto Blue skin garden centre and cafe where we were to meet up for lunch which was all very nice . it is just so lovely seeing - JUst nature at its best ! all the rhodo and azaleas out in bloom in so many shades and colours !
Day nine of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.A traveling day today from Oamaru to Dunedin (with a few caches on the side!)Had no idea what the hint meant, but we suspected that spiky bastard of a bush!So it proved. Thanks, Robmc.
Day 9 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc. We spent the night in Oamaru so we can visit Steampunk HQ today. After we left Oamaru we headed to Dunedin and collected a couple of caches along the way. Thanks for contributing to the fun Heafudd
We got poked and prodded by plenty of Matagouri, but the cache wouldn't reveal itself!
Ambling around the area for a short spell this afternoon; I decided to return via this dirt road to collect a cache or 2.
Thanks for this cache, Heafudd.

Nice and quick park and grab find. Good use of an old Kodak slide container! TFTC.
After a couple of very wet days in Dunedin, StreetWalkerNZ and I woke to a glimpse of blue sky and sun but with more rain predicted, we started early to make the most of the good weather on our drive north to Moeraki.
Slowly making our way towards Moeraki, but via the scenic route. This was the first Apes cache find. TFTC.

First in the series for me. Quick find, once I caught on that what appeared to be the obvious landmark was, in fact, not! TFTC
We are heading home from Palmerston early but time for the Evil series. Stopped off here for a quick snag and tag. Cheers
Its Anzac Day 25 April and we have an event at Palmerston. So its a day in Palmerston today with a walk up Puketau in the mix.
Its another awesome geoventure to Dunedin, with The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby, Jack, Jill and William all along for the trip. Had a wonderful 10 days exploring Dunedin. It was great catching up with local cachers at several events we attended. Lots of walking and driving, with the odd cycle and wave ride to jazz things up. Thanks to all the COs that made this trip a wonderful success. Even managed to bag some lab caches along with wherigos, earth caches and events, with the usual mix taking us to some amazing places..

Trip and spike hazards galore.
Taybeedragon and I have an eleven day Easter weekend in Dunedin. Although, let's face it, given that we are from Blenheim and Picton that means two of those days was spent in travelling. In that time we grabbed a smidge over three hundred caches. Not bad, considering the amount of time spent way out on the back roads, on bicycles or canoeing on the water. A few virtuals, larges, letterboxes, earths, wherigos, and even ten lab caches in the haul. An awesome weekend!

Ah don’t you just love these plants. Not. Thank goodness was an easy find. TFTC
Slightly tricky to get to but looking forward to finding all GC in this series. One down!
Taking Mrs D Senior for a drive on a sunny afternoon - which is an excellent excuse to get the remaining monkeys on Apes Road off my back. Admit to searching the other hint tree as well - which has a mistletoe growing in it- before returning to the GZ.
No better way to get back to the highway than a road with lots of caches on it!!! Started at this end, reasonably quick find!
I did a bit of a side step to pick up the ape at the other end of the road three years ago so I could end that day with a nice round number. The rest of these monkeys have been teasing me ever since everytime I have been past but never had the time to stop so today I decided to come and pick them up. This one took me way longer than it should have with the specific hint and spot on coordinates. TFTC # 12,438
When i heard the clue, i cringed. Cache was quickly found though, and find number 900 was signed. A great day with a great view. Thanks for bringing me here.
I was more than a little concerned when I saw the hint, "Really!?", I thought. However, it turned out the hint was helpful and the cache was sensible placed. I don't think I had seen a container like this before but it seems to be fit for purpose. It was pleasing to make a quick find to start this series.
Third time lucky. I'm the only person who has logged a DNF for this one so it was great to earn the yellow smile. Not sure why I missed it on my previous visits as I had no trouble with all the others in this series.
Nice quick park and grab, great view of cruise ship going north. thnx for the cache
Woke up in my stone cottage Airbnb in Ocean Grove to find that it had yet again rained overnight. But the dawn was crisp and clear so another day to look forward to with dry shoes and socks. If it carries on like this, I would have packed extra shoes and my wet weather gear for nothing. But I’m not complaining, I’m utterly sick of all the rain we have had over winter in the Manawatu.
Heading from Dunedin through the Pig Root to Alexandra for the day. Very excited, I did spend a lot of time driving this route when I lived in Oamaru and it is one of my favourite parts of the country.
A quick find here this morning and I can continue on my way. TFTC

I drove up from Dunedin to to Oamaru today on my way to attend the weekend's Geofest Event. I ventured off the main highway a number of times to explore the country byways. There was of course the odd cache to find along the way as well. All in all a very pleasant trip with some interesting places and great views along the way. Cheers and TFTC

Came down from Te Puke to visit the whanau and decided to do a bit of caching with 7 kids. TFTC. What a cooool series of caches. Perfect for the kids. Nice and quite rd.
A quick find today while travelling around the area picking up a few. TFTC [^]
This one proved soooo tricky for me! I clambered all over the bank trying tofind it. Finally stopped, thought about it loginacally and basically walked to the spot.
I'm on a 5 day caching trip in the south island. Have a few aims - right now its to up a few specific caches that I need to complete my grid for a challenge - and find some interesting caches on the way 1800km later I can say I've accomplished my aim! Brain fried at this point...

We have a goal of finding 500 caches by the end of the year and we are close but we still have a ways to go so we decided we better get out and get a few today! Luckily the weather stayed fine while we collected up a few more smilies.

Found with MrandMrsChosen1978. A great day to complete the series on our way home down the coast. TFTC
Have looked at this series for awhile. Have never been down this road and probably won't be again but a lovely area.
Found it but a muggle came along and we had to hide it in my sisters pocket till they left, felt a bit silly standing awkwardly up on a bank but nicely hidden
Great spot and a great day for some caching up the coast. It nice to get out in the sun today for a change and hoping it stays this nice for the day. TFTC
having spent a couple of days down in dunnas visiting my Prodigy KJR , it was time to head home to Geraldine so I decided to take a short detour.
time to head back to the main drag but better grab a few more first quick find tftc

Nice little p&g, starting to rain and definitely getting dark!! Still found 'em. Tftc
After attending dawn service decided as it was looking to be a good day to go for a short caching park and grab loop.
Cache and log in good condition

Is there any better way to spend a balmy Easter Monday than tackling a few caches on Otagos coast?? T4TC!
Found with CJ-Curry, I was hoping for a train, no luck today! Took some great photos of the sea and the train line
Hevic and I spent the day exploring the northern part of Otago. Cache #16 of 23 was an adventure in itself as Hevic, lover of trains that she is, explored the area around the tracks while I fished out the cache. Thanks for bringing us here - Hevic scored some great snaps. Cheers!
Many smiley faces for the earlier logs and I'm the only one with a DNF. I found all the others. It isn't too much of a detour off the Coast Rd so I'll pop back another time i'm up this way and have another crack at it.
Today, I was heading down towards Dunedin and - like on the previous days - wanted to find some caches along the way.
The virtual at Seacliff hospital sounded interesting and thus I did the 'Ape series' along the way. Having found the last remaining APE-cache in Brazil two years ago I thought this little trail sounded suitable.
I found all caches, twice I had to search for the a little bit longer.
TFTC!
