What a fun day, kicking back with some great people, doing some great caches, some of which were are great heights.

Special thanks to Parislaura for organizing the event. Sushilord for walking the hills with me and understanding the copious rest stops, Clojo1 for both the most excellent caches on the walk, and walking and chatting on the way back to the hotel, and Gral4 for the most welcome lift home. Thanks muchly to you all.

Gral4 and Ismartis, it is more I'm in an inconvenient location for pickups and drop offs then anything else. Smile

Thanks to everyone that turned up to my first event, I had a lot of fun and was even more glad that there was good food and even better company! I wanted to prove that it is not necessarily the badlands out this way but an area with great people and great caches - I think by todays turn out and awesome people that my point was proven!

Well done to Leighside Legends for winning the right to claim FTF!

Maybe sometime down the track ill do this again - thanks everyone!!!!!!

Good food, great company, met some new cachers and enjoyed many chats.
Wish I had felt ok to do the walk up the creek with the group, sounds like it was a blast.

Thanks for organsing the event Laura, it was a great afternoon of meeting people, enjoying the beautiful scenery & spring sunshine and discovering a few of the special local caches.

Will fondly remember the smell of crushed onion weed and wild fennel.

Have driven past this hotel many times over the years but its the first time I've actually visited. I never realised there was so much on offer here.

29-Sep-13
What a wonderful location! I rarely get out this far north, even to cache so there were plenty of unfounds nearby afterwards as well. Joined the throng of cachers who hiked eastbound afterwards as well to grab some of the awesome clojo1 caches. Thanks for organising a great event parislaura!

Hi everyone I have confirmed numbers for lunch for about 30 people at 1pm in the outdoor pines area, it is meant to be a sunny 27 degrees so should be a lovely day for it. If anyone has entertainment books or access to one there is a buy one get one free meal voucher in the book if that helps with lunch.

Also if you want to bring some trackables to move on, I am doing a swap in a few days with a cacher from QLD who is planning on taking a swag of trackables back home to the sunshine coast.

See you all on Sunday Smile
