At the beach for a stroll with some family! Took a while to orient myself with the trees as my GPS wasn't able to decide where I was. Was about to leave when I noticed something out of place!Dipped some Trackables in here.Logbook signed 11:18 Saturday, 2nd November. Cache number 271, TFTC!
Out on a mission with GeoHubby (GNARwhal) and Miss 11 (UnicornLex), finding some caches in the North Canterbury region. Took a few minutes of searching as the GPS bounced around a bit. Miss 11 found some good trees to climb, then down to the beach for a wander and some cartwheels. Thanks for the cache.
Out on a Various Task Mission (especially my favorite, collecting pine cones!!) With That Darn Bear and UnicornLex
Decided to take the direction route from the last cache we found which turned out to be a big mistake. Thats one huge sand dune to climb.
We wanted some time on the beach today. There are a few caches about, so we did this one first. Then went for a swim in the sea! TFTC
Nice easy find. Making our way home after a tiring bike ride. Collecting a few HPF caches to get our tally up for this months challenge.
Nice to see the beach. Even some folks swimming - very brave!

Found with kozjah. Hint is really helpful. I love these kinds of hides. Cache is in great shape.
After a short walk to check out the beach, and to dip toes in the water, made a short detour to find the cache
In the first place I looked, so thankful as there could have been many more options.
A fun find, thanks Wombles B.J&T for the hide

Easy find as we make our way to CHCH for a family celebration. We wandered down to the beach for a look. Lots of driftwood and doggie bags. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
Started looking in the wrong location but then saw a pile of many more than just 3 hint items! TFTC
Remembered hint which was helpful as GPS wasn't playing ball this morning. Rainy day walk with dogs

God I hate spiderwebs that are pretty much invisible haha gps couldn’t decide what tree we should be at but found easily
Log wet & sitting water, container no longer waterproof. We tryed to dry it out in the sun as much as possible, while we enjoyed afternoon tea
This was a cool wee cache & had my boys looking for awhile. I collected some very old beer bottles from the area & spotted it but didn't let on. It took them both afew more minutes to find & then we enjoyed a quiet spot in the forest with some afternoon tea. TFTC
Found after returning from a lap of the area and a quick paddle in the ocean; TFTC
9 January 2022 12:33. Last time I was here was for the Cito at the MEGA. Spotted the decoy, then the real thing soon afterwards. All good, TFTC.
In the area for orienteering & took a walk from the event centre to make the find. TFTC
The coordinates took us to a specimen which we felt didn't really live up to the cache name, but they were of course correct and the cache was a quick easy find. TFTC
Nice day to go to beach and fill in a dot day..of course gps would behave. So pick a tree and search. Log a bit damp.
Lovely day for a short walk and a few geocaches. Waited for a school group to pass before getting this one. tftc
The GPS was flakey under the trees and the phone even more so. As others have said, persistence paid off with a find for us. We had come to the area hoping to find the 6 caches here and so far we had 2 from 2.
Thanks.
Thanks.
On a drive to Christchurch today. I stopped for a few caches along the way. Another good one. GPS was bouncing around a bit under the trees but I did eventually make the find. TFTC, Biggles.
Thanks for this cache, Wombles B. J &T.
I wandered over here with a couple of other cachers after the nearby CITO - on an unbelievably warm winter/spring day! Lots of people coming & going to/from the nearby beach.

TFTC. I had a lovely time pulling weeds at the neared CITO. Then a wander through the forest to sign the log.
Found on way home from a month long trip around the South island. Enjoying the caches
StreetWalkerNZ and I needed a few finds today to bring our finds total for 24th Nov to a nice darkish green 26. We decided to take part in the CITO at Woodend Beach this afternoon, so decided to find a few caches in the area as we drove our way north.
Despite attending many CITOs very close to this cache, we had never got round to looking for this cache. A short walk, but like our previous find "Giant", we left the path too early so ended up bush bashing and more up and down hills than was necessary. Again, SW was first to GZ and made the find. I was too slow today.
Made it back with plenty of time to attend the CITO. Thanks Wombles BJ&T.

#17472. The shortest walk of the day meant we were soon at GZ (just as well the walk wasn't longer; the day had got hot all of a sudden). Left the track but then soon decided I was on the wrong side of sandy gully. Headed back to the track and was soon at GZ. TFTC.
Beautiful day. It took longer for the muggles to disappear than to find the cache.

Found with one of my Guiding friends who has her own id now and one of her Guides. Great to catch up with you again Knotobsessed. Great to knock this one off as I haven't been out for a while due to illness. Overdid it a bit at the CITO down the road and the gentle walk to this one helped clear the head a little. Thanks for placing - cache was a little damp but still in good condition otherwise.
Once I started looking for this, I realised I had actually looked for it once when you first started caching and had a terrible phone that was put by 25-20 metres! Much easier today. Found after my first ever CITO Tftc
A walk and playground visit with granddaughter! Container nicely hidden, we enjoyed going around the trees looking for it. TFTC!!
This one took ages to find as GPS bouncing all over the place but perseverance paid off!

After some gardening at the Canterbury Geocaching Biota node we came by for a cache. Surprised no one else had found this recently or today. But I guess it's been here long enough and there have been plenty of CITO's and opportunities to find it before.
And we also scored some boletus mushrooms next to the cache - yum!

#495. Explored Woodend Beach after finding this cache neatly concealed, at 12.30. My second Wombles cache today. Tftc.
New Year’s Day and I went for a ride of the tracks near the beach in the Pegasus region, hoping to pick up a few caches along the way. Ended up with 11. Once I’d determined the correct direction to head for this one, it didn’t take long to locate. #1578. TFTC.
We had the great chance to travel around New Zealand during six weeks and were able to see wonderful cities, landscapes and meet nice Kiwis. While staying in NZ many cache owners gave us the opportunity to search for very well hidden treasures and we thank them very much for preparing and maintaining them.

Staying with the in-laws in the caravan park, and decided to take the kids for a quick cache mission. Sad to report it needs to be replaced. Very very damp log. Hasn’t been found since August and I guess there has been a lot of water recently! I think it was probably put back upside down previously.
Cache is very wet and log is mush. Still readable and managed to scrawl a signature on it, just.
See previous log for TheBuddyolpals. We just realised we have 2similar accounts so are merging them.
