We had been wondering about this cache for a long time & always wanted to make the effort to go see what it was all about... Never quite made it before the cache got archived, but happy to say that we finally made it here! We enjoyed the walk particularly through the she oaks & also the "strange place" before we descended to GZ
On approach we could see the cache, but clearly there would be a problem with retrieving it With a bit of problem solving we were able to devise a plan & SOME time later we were adding our names to this lonely log book [^]
Cache remains in good condition despite the tangle in the tree... We noted the last logger was Team Buss who had actually logged the cache back in 2015 & was the last person to officially log this one, we that was until we added our names
TFTC Selover Clan Now, how do we get out of here..........

No response from the cache owner.
No cache to find or log to sign.
It has been more than 28 days since the last owner note.
As a result I am archiving this cache to keep from continually showing up in search lists and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.
Should you like to resurrect the cache please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache
The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.
If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.
I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.
Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require.
For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.

I've had this cache on my to do list for almost 4 years! Glad to finally get up into the hills on a cool winters morn to find it.
Alas its no longer reachable as it's all tangled up in the tree.
Don't think its legitimately been logged for the past 3 years. After a couple of needs maintenance logs and no action its probably time to go

I have visited this cache before and have always forgotten to log on-line. This time was disappointed to lay eyes on the cache however was not able to get to it. Its tangled.
Definitely need climbing skills to retrieve (or chainsaw! ) great spot - definitely needs some TLC
Not sure how to get to it without climbing haha... Think it might need some maintenance
A great idea but unfortunately out of order.
We enjoyed the hike up to the cache and it was definitely worth it to get off the beaten tracks.
Our guide dog was of not much help as there were way too many interesting sport around to sniff at.
Thanks for the cache and I look forward to give it another visit once it's been restored.

Found it! Great trek to GZ with some lovely views along the way. Lid was very tight, but managed to get it open, with the help of my caching toolkit! Hopefully it will be easier to open now! Great cache!
This one was an easy enough find, however opening the container was mission impossible. It appears to be stuck? Couldn't get it open for the life of us!
Yay FTF@11:00 Saw this one published but no chance of visiting till after the weekend. Still no activity on Monday morning so slammed the mountain bike in the back of the car and headed out to Darlo. The bike soon became a hindrance on the steep part of the climb from Oakleigh road...was great fun coming back down though! Visited poke-a-hole then kept heading upwards and seemingly away from Vertigo...realised in the end I needed to bush bash. Got the bike to within 100m of GZ before abandoning it and crashing down the slope. At GZ, well...so close and yet so far. Did what I had to do to get at the contents of the cache and put it back to its starting position. Took the mega TB for moving on to somewhere with more cache visits! Hope the weather is kind to this cache. Thanks for the adventure, never tracked through this part of bush before.
Had a 2TF here at 11:37 today after trying to access GZ from the pipeline access road near the Helena Pipehead dam. No luck from this point as the bush was impenetrable so I had to turn back and come in from the Darlington end. That cost me valuable time, I saw that I'd been beaten to a FTF by "olthomas" by 37 minutes. Damn!
Well done "olthomas"

I hadn't done Selover Clans 'Poke-a-hole', so I did this cache on the way out and collected this TB to put in this new cache for the FTF.
