All good here. Thanks for the cache, Toy Hunters! * * * * *I had a lovely day walking this trail near Googong Dam and completing the Queen series. It was a lovely four-hour walk gathering these and all of the others in the area. I only had one DNF for the day; all other geocaches in the series were in good condition. Then I headed back towards Jerrabomberra to finished off a multi cache that I ran out of time to collect yesterday. I headed home as the sun set, by the light of the waxing gibbous moon.
What a wonderful way to spend a day! Great weather, good friends, a beautiful trail, excellent caches and a delightful Queen soundtrack care of the trail CO! Thanks for the Geocaching Queens - Toyhunters, Barb2e, Joolay, Seach4, GLISS, Contesta and aykayem for all the fun. Signed as GQ16.

Hey ToyHunters, found this one now. It’s a nice sunny day today, after starting out a bit cold.
Out with a walk to this area on a sunny day.
Decided to get some caches on the way.
Decided to get some caches on the way.
Today Turtle284 and I came out to find some caches at Googong.
Had a great time locating all the caches, and enjoying the sights as we went.
Thankfully, we are able to say that all the caches we found were in good condition, and we experienced zero DNF's. Thanks for a great walk!

#2379 On tour with injuryman picking up caches around Googong. Logged as Beta Squad. TFTC.
Got very lucky here as we took the animal track through the bushes that placed us right next to GZ.

A wander around this Anzac Day with Stylish Parasite saw us completing 24 caches! Was pretty impressed as generally when I have put together a plan of caches we always end up with some DNF's. Anyway Queen is my absolutely favourite band, ever since I was 7 years old and got Crazy Little Thing Called Love on single. I'm turning 50 this year, so it's been a while.
We did the whole Queen Collection and picked up the few extras along the way. Took us four hours on the dot, I am a bit slow, and we did stop for a wine and cheese stop at about half way.
A lovely way to finally click over 200 finds on my weekend of getting back into caching!
Thanks for the journey.

Found on my first walk around googong dam tftc. I like the little structure here
I’ve lost Garf13ld13! I guess the dam is presently over 100% full, and I love all the lapping sounds at the water’s edge. It is so quiet here otherwise.
TFTC and series.

An afternoon adventure close to home. We decided to pack some cheese and biccies to enjoy afternoon munchies along our walk around the dam.
Enjoying the journey on a lovely sunny afternoon although we probably should have plastered on the sunscreen.

Another good hide in a nice spot out of the way. Left another little token TFTC
I know I was only in Canberra earlier in the week for caching but this time is for another reason… a geo-event! (GA19402 & GC8T8JZ) This means that for a couple of us, it turned into two events as I hosted a GCA event about lunch time. My event was nice and small with only a few attendees but still great. Afterwards, I went with some others to find some other nearby caches. Next, it was time to check into my motel and have a rest. I then heard that there was a group of Cachers heading out to find a new WIG cache in Woden before the next event starts. A great walk around the parks and a unique hide. I am now sworn to secrecy…! Then it was time for the second event of the day. It was great fun catching up with many people and talking all things Geo! After a great sleep, I decided that before I headed home, I would attempt the ‘Queen’s greatest hits’ cache trail. It was a nice drive to Googong Dam but before I parked I found a solved puzzle cache. After finding a parking spot, I went for the 2-2.5 hour walk find the Queen caches and a few other ones along the way. It was a great walk with many great views of the lake and Googong. Then it was time to head home but I decided on taking a detour via Young to find the new cache there. A FTF on this one. A great couple days away and I hope to get to a couple of the events in ACT during December. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I have found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyments. TFTE’s & TFTC’s
A mild morning made the perfect opportunity to walk this power trail. The western foreshores walk is a bit boring for mine, with glimpses of Googong township mixed with low hills. The return track along the dam is much prettier, although quite overgrown in parts after the recent rain. This was a very well curated and maintained sequence of caches to find - all in very good condition with tailored logs for each cache. Thanks, Toy Hunters!
This cache was a straightforward find at GZ.

I had to dig into my bumbag for Monty again for this cache as Sam couldn't settle on the GZ for me. A pity that both weren't fully charged in the beginning. TFTC TNLN SL
I went wrong way round the shrubs and Silvereyes found the cache on the other side. Winters day getting warm. Time to take jackets off. TFTC
What a glorious day for a winter stroll around Googong Dam with the oldest two geokids (5 and 7) while the wife and youngest have coffee back in town. It may have only been 11 degrees but we still got a sweat up at times and the youngest was looking for a ‘bus’ to come pick her up by the end
No DNFs the whole way was great - thanks for great coords and recent maintenance on a few. Sorry for a somewhat generic log on these.
This was another quick find. We looked under and around a few likely spots first though before we got it. TNLN TFTC

Doing the lovely Queen Trail on a bright Winter's day. Beautiful spots, great walking.
Found during my adventures at the Clear Waters mega. Thank you for all the caches!
Me coming to Queanbyan had one prerequisite: doing the Queen trail. We started with ziggiau and me in the morning, Milo-Mike and NoTomorrow joined us and we picked up Bulldozer and Kaos at the track. Talk about music bringing people together!

Arrived for the Clear Waters Mega Event and decided to conquer the Queen power trail. TFTC!
So very much enjoyed this tour and very glad that Jo from chooknchunk talked me into it! Did the tour with her and TG4theWin (as well as many others!) Toyhunters did an amazing job of leading us through the tour - his love of Queen made the walk! TFTC!
I am really enjoying reading the paragraph of the history of each song on this Queen Tour. Thanks for taking the time to write individually about each song and adding it to the story of Queen.
Out enjoying a most wonderful autumn day and taking the walk with the CO of these Queen caches - toy hunters, and our great little group tour. Caches were found with no problem while we enjoyed listening to the various Queen songs on our way to each geocache. Many thanks toy hunters for taking the time out of your own geocaching time while we are all here for the big MEGA event. We had a wonderful time and appreciate your efforts in placing and maintaining these geocaches.
Cheers and happy caching!

*Somebody to Love* is one of my favourite Queen songs and I think it also has a bit of Opera-feel to it like *Bohemian Rhapsody*.
After finding the cache we took a short break to drink, rest, and posing for another group photo. By now we wanted to lighten up the group photos by posing while making bunny ears (after all, it was Easter!) or walking like an Egyptian. My Monkey Girl did a balancing act with a 1.5 liter bottle of water on her head.

Day 2 of our Clear Waters event and Queanbeyan/ACT adventures started off with a delightfully sunny and fresh morning which allowed us to find plenty of well placed caches. We spent the morning in Googong before heading back into Queanbeyan to explore the city centre.
The Queen PT had been one of our goals for this trip and we were rewarded with a most pleasant walk beside the dam. Team MavEtJu and I were joined by a lovely group of cachers who ended up signing as MEEL KB. Hope the date stamp helped all that followed that day. I’ve sung this song many times (actually as an arrangement by a Canberra based barbershop arranger) but as an ensemble singer, it sounded pretty rubbish when I tried to belt it out on my own. I’m no Freddie!
Thanks toy hunters for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found as part of the Queens power trail take 2. Walking with the kids today had me somebody to love as we continued our journey, TFTC!
Out and about grabbing some of the many great caches in the area. This was the next in the series and another smiley added to the map. TFTC
Found today with my Dad, Mum and my brother, awesome little trail to get some caches. TNLN

This morning I was fortunate to be invited along on a caching quest by the Ziggsta and Mavman. I wasn't the only stray they picked up with ozmilo joining too. Haha. Deciding to use real first names instead of geocaching ones, we came up with the team name of MEEL. We also met up with others on the Queen trail and logged the caches as MEELBK.
I had a great time walking around a number of traditional, multi and mystery caches in the dam area and getting to know our new friend MiloMike. Having sent a little lonely (definitely not alone though) the last 5 days, it was great to hang out with old friends and let my hair down a bit, singing along to Queen songs and chatting up a storm with the Ziggsta. Haha
Perfect weather. Best company. Beautiful location. Great caches.

Visiting Canberra for the Mega Event and having a wonderful time touring the city with my host and sister Tealby, finding many caches in the process.
This Queen series was done in the company of a group other caches as one of the tours provided by the Mega, and very kindly led by the cache's CO, playing Queen music as we walked along.
Many thanks for a great day out, the guidance and all the caches, toy hunters.

Headed down to Googong Dam to do the Queen trail and surrounding caches with some new caching friends Ziggiau, NoTomorrow and Mavetju. As we started the trail, we joined forces with Bulldozer72 and Kaos. To save room in the logbooks, we logged as MEEL KB.
The vast majority of caches were found quickly - one or two needed a bit more time. Thoroughly enjoyed caches and the beautiful scenery.
Thanks for the cache.

Finalf29 and I spent the day in the Googong and what an enjoyable day it was. We paddled, walked (with a bit of huffing and puffing), met a lovely geocaching family Team737 and cached most of the Queen series with them... by the end of the day we were knackered, but still had a brilliant time doing it. Thanks to all the cache owners and thanks to Finalf29 and Team737 for wonderful company.

When planning a family activity for a day at the mega, I noted this little trail, and being a big Queen fan for many years, coincidentally starting when I lived in Canberra for two years in the early 90's, this was a great choice. So the four of us watered and booted up for the 6km hike and hit the (well worn!) trail. With our 6 year old we managed to complete the circuit in under 3 hours, with no DNFs. We met HappyUke and Finalf29 along the way and walked together for most of the trek - a great afternoon - thanks!
