Logs
Plan this morning was to climb the tower, but decided to try this cache first. Thanks to the good clue, I managed to spy the cache and make the grab without issue. Sat in the sun, signed the log and then replaced the log before taking the ride to the top.......and wow, what great views on a cloudless morning.
Thanks for the cache......
Thanks for the cache......
I spent lunch hour completing this cache. The bulk of it was spent out-waiting a pair of staff who were also spending their lunch hour on the nearby bench.
It was a relatively nice day and the nearby skydome was open. Then they started to close it so I thought maybe we were going to have rain, but didn't. Its neat to watch that thing in motion.
Meanwhile, I had spotted the familiar container when I got there but wasn't going to make the retrieval until it was safe.
Once the coast was clear, I retrieved and signed the log.
Thanks!

So here's the story:
We spent the day in Brantford, and made our way home in the late afternoon. Around 5:15ish we made a momentous split-second decision. Because it is the last holiday Monday of the summer, we decided to take our chances with the QEW-Gardiner-DVP home rather than turn up the 403 in Oakville and risk holiday traffic mayhem across the top of Toronto on the dreaded 401.
We were making *excellent* time, a very good decision. We were near the Humber River at 5:37pm when this cache was published. By the time we reached Spadina Ave, Susan had added fresh batteries and plugged the coordinates into the Oregon. She hopped out of the van on Bremner Blvd, and while Paul drove around the block a few times, she managed to fight off the massive signal bounce and the muggles to locate the cache at 5:58, 21 minutes after we received the notification.
This was really a right-place-right-time find for us. Nicely hidden cache, we drove off quite pumped. And as an added bonus, the DVP was also a breeze and we were home earlier than we planned despite stopping at Tourist Central! Many thanks for the cache, we took the Geocoin but Paul has lost it already, no wait, there it is!
