Out caching around the western suburbs of Brisbane - not an area where I have many finds. We had a very productive day finding nearly all the caches we had set down on the list.
Quite a bit of ground cover at GZ kept the cache well hidden. No platypii spotted today!
Thanks kcsfinch.

Sad to report something has thought the lid of this container to be quite tasty. They've chewed enough that there's a hole in the lid now so the container probably needs replacing. Sorry we didn't have anything with us today that would have fixed the problem.
Out caching today with JooJoo57 and DiamonJs. We had a great day in the winter sunshine. After finding this cache and signing the log we all left with smiles on our faces and for the cache.
Cheers and happy caching!

Unknow to us we weere being watched and on our return back down the path we were asked if we had found what we were looking for. Nothing to do but explain about geocaching. They had thought that we had been looking for the platypus that is known to frequent the area. It is part of a rement group that are slowly dying out due to pollution. We also learnt that there is over 60 different types of fungi in the area and that there is fungi growing on the outside of the space station, so we guess, today we all learnt something. SL TFTC

Another perfect Autumn day for a trip with Felix11 and 46jim while at Rosewood for the week.
Lots more muggles around today and a few more good safe hides.
Thanks for the cache kcsfinch,

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Visiting the area while Mrs Felix is recovering from knee surgery. [xx(]

Out with Caro from Jess&Caro for a couple of hours this morning and we met up at Goodna as we both had a few to grab here.
Last one for the morning as I have to care for my grand-babies this afternoon It is a return visit for me to clear up a DNF of a cache that was missing, and after an early lunch we drove across, to discover we were on the wrong side of the creek However, we found a way around and over, then went in for the search. GPS had us in the middle of the path with so many possible hiding spots, but after a minute I made the find. TFTC, kcsfinch.

Heading down the hill to find some geocaches, so I organised to meet up with IolantheK to find a few together and do lunch. This was the last one on her list and time was running out so we headed quickly to it... oh, not so quickly, gotta go around! I started looking in the T1 places and soon IolantheK made the find in a non-T1 rated spot. No person in a wheelchair can reach that one... they'll need to bring a buddy. As a person who cares for a lady in a wheelchair, that is a T1.5 in my book.
Thanks for the cache, kcsfinch.

RoddyCs and Echocage1 in the area. Quick walkup the path. Cache has been squashed. Repaired as best we could. Log signed and replaced again. Found at 4 20PM on 7.10.2017. TFTC.
Out with the RoddyC's and visited this one. The cache may have been safe from flood but there has been some damage to its hide so it was found on the ground minus its lid which was found broken nearby. We put a new log in an eclipse tin and placed it in the cache container. C.O. may need to keep tabs on this one as Council may do some tidy up around G.Z. TFTC
I was walking with my Girl Guide leaders and we found it and placed it back in its spot

Easy enough to locate, and a nice little walking path the lid was rather interesting... Hope the next finder has less trouble getting it back on than we did. TFTC
Swapped Aussie flag for a coin ) an DNS an the cache container is gonna need a replacement its been crushed an missing a lid
The cache container is squashed, the lid is badly chewed & doesn't stay on & the log is quite wet.
This could do with some CO TLC.

A day of caching was planned, with Team Benders, to pick up caches that neither of us had found.
All caches found today by us were joint finds with Judy of Team Benders.
Our target for today was 30 caches but any number will do really.
(3 of 33 found for VC)
A quick find here.
Unfortunately the cache is a bit the worse for wear.

Made our marks & replaced as found.
Perhaps the CO should visit & make sure all is good.

Headed out with Vegan Cachers for a day of caching in nearby Ipswich and surrounds.
Arrived at GZ and located the cache.
I noticed a paperbark tree at a precarious angle and soon the cache was in hand.
It was a bit squashed and the lid was a bit chewed.
Signed the log and returned to where we found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Kcsfinch All good with this cache just needs some TLC

Found it, good spot, wouldn't have thought to look there but the lid caught my eye thanks
Had to poke around a bit in what felt like a snake-infested creek-side, but eventually put my hand on it! Tftc!
Last find for the morning with coco_24 and trin_007. It had been a lovely morning wandering along the walkway. On the way back we saw a large brown snake sunning itself on the rocks on a culvert right next to the path - glad we saw that at the end, or we might not have gone bush bashing so willingly! We later ran into some runaway dogs, and managed to reunite them with their owners. Oh the random adventures that occur while caching!
This one was a quick find. Container appears to have been squished (?) at bottom but seems to be ok inside. There was some swag in a plastic bag which was kind of shoved into the cache so took some getting out - Trin tried to put it back in better order.

Another success in the adventures of Dr Pepi & Coco24 today as foretold by Dr Pepi. What a morning! TFTC.
Couldn't find this one and me and about 4 others looked for about 20 minutes in every possible spot. Might be muggled??
I found myself on the wrong side of the creek too. TFTC!
Note: This was found by Neversaydi on the above date. NeverSayDi & E(: are combining accounts and are now TeamDIEL just consolidating. Thanks.

Coordinates are showing the wrong side of the creek. Taking the walking path side.
Didn't see the finches but must say it was a pleasant walk.
Cache in a logical spot given the clue.
Thanks for placing.

Well off course and opposite side but good hiding spot all the same. May need a new container or plastic bag to replace the old one, unfortunately didn't have any on us.
Keeping an eye on these for the CO while he is overseas. Replaced log with a dry one. Good to go.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:46pm. It took a long time to find and not where it should have been, I don't think as it would get very wet. We also found its lid separately and got it all back into shape and replaced it where we think it should have been, in a dry place. The log is also slightly damp. TFTC
Today we explored Ipswich and surrounds using geocaching as a guide.
Lid was broken, container/log is wet, but in a plastic bag.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found it after seeing a pen on the ground and a lid (which I assume was from the bottle but it was a bit damaged). Coordinates were a little off.
Visited on 25/2 but not logged until March, sorry. Pretty sure this had been muggled as my gps said I was .3m away and I searched for ages before finding an empty painted lidless container. I tore a strip of paper for a log, put it inside the container, put the container in a plastic snack bag, hid it under matted grassy patch and will message the co.
First timers excited to find. Love the connection with the local birds. TNLNSL. TFTC!
After hopping from cache to cache, with the first find over towards Logan Central, I finally found myself nearby to this cache. So I parked the car in a side street and set out to find this cache and follow the path.
As I wandered along the path I picked up the caches along the way, starting with Double Bar Finch, and finishing up at Can You?. All up it was a nice approx 2.6km round trip walk, making six finds in total.
---
This stop could have proven to have some problems, as even though I had the GPSr with me, I was navigating with the iPhone. I start to following the arrow, but happened to see a spot that would be perfect in the opposite direction, and sure enough there was the cache. My phone was indicating more then a few meters off the coords, but the phone is not always so accurate.
Got my name added to the log and replaced the cache where found.

After getting the geo kids out last week for my birthday and finding one, they were happy to leave their computers/consoles and get out in the fresh air. Was nice, quick and easy. My geoson (8yo) found a nice tree stump as a seat fit for a king close by. TFTC
