A quick find, pity the road is closed off. Will have a bushwalk instead. TFTC
Drive no further is exactly what I did in the new geomobile. Way too washed out for Suzi so walked it we did! Tftc
Heading the advice the car was parked and then it was on to the shanks pony, well after grabbing this one of course. Next person may like to bring a spare container as it seems someone liked what was here before - at least they left the log book!
Parked almost on top of this one and couldn't ignore it as we were so close. Made my way to a good size log and found nothing. Widened the search area and found a smaller log with the zip lock bag and log inside but no ammo tin. With the log signed and no replacement container on us, log was placed further cover. The log was in good condition. Thanks YOF et all for a stoppage point on this drive.
The road is really no good for cars. We made the mistake of heading on the road on the right at first. We soon rectified that error and had the cache in hand. TFTC
Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC youngoldfella

It’s been another good day of caching with Patrol14 and we’re close to starting the two and a half hour drive home…
We’ve come out here chasing Campfire attributes for a crazy QOGM Challenge Cache from Cunnamulla… The road signs here indicate that we can’t go any further… With time getting away from us, we may have to start here next time rather than finish…
A nice quick find to round off my day… tftc…
I didn’t know, but all my Christmas wishes were about to come true on the way home… and I didn’t have to remove any clothing…

While out on one of our geocaching days with Peppa, we discussed how many oldies we have found and mentioned "Noises of Tarong". So a day trip to the area was planned and today we finally found it.
Stopping to grab a few caches on Peppa's list, we came to this cache and noticed the sign. Being in a sedan we decided not to venture further down this track, so we were content with finding this cache. SL then returned as found.
A nearby sign had triggered a memory of a trip our 4WD club took many years ago taken from the Dirty Weekends book (not that type of weekend) that started near Moore and continued up the old backroad to Nanango via 7 Mile Diggings. Was a great trip and the highlight was just as we started along the road towards Taromeo we came across this huge carpet snake lying on the road. Head one side, tail the other... Hubby tried to coax it off the road with a stick. I am taking photos of this snake and out of my peripheral vision I see movement and a stick lands right beside the snake. It rears up and then I also see 3 people running backwards behind me.... (some child from our party thought it would help). Hubby managed to coax it off the track so we could continue... What excitement!! No snakes were seen today.
TFTC youngoldfella - a fav point for the memory.

We had just finished a long walk but stopped at this cache.
Some 4wds came up from the track past here just as we stopped.
NF located the cache very quickly and signed the logbook.

I was planning a group bike ride circuit to ride through Old Coach Road and on checking out geocaches along the way I could not help but notice a few newer listings from Albyalbatross&Nicole . I could not resist by to do an advance ride into the area just to get the geocaches, especially given this cache is bit off the loop ride trail we have planned.
After the mandatory pre ride coffee and cake at Blackbutt Bakery 2 of us set off to ride through to Seven Mile Diggings picking up caches along the way and then head for this location.
Now given we had come from the reverse directions we can report a similar sign exists at the opposite end of this road. We can also report that it appears that some vehicles still seem to be able to get through. However i suspect you need a good high clearance vehicle and no respect for your car to use this track.
Dual suspension mountain bikes have no such trouble. We rode the tracks with gingerly but with ease and legally to boot.
Looks like signage does put off a few geocachers seems there a more logs here than any of the others in a bit further. Looks like people have forgotten how to walk.

Came out to see if we could find this unloved cache today and after I looked in two wrong places it was found quickly by geohubby holding the gps. I’d exited the car with a location in mind and of course I should have looked where the co- ords wanted to send me. The cache is in great condition and we gladly signed the log. Many thanks for placing it YoungOldFella - it was a nice drive.
Cheers and happy caching!

Aah gotta love rest days but sitting still is not that easy Surprised when the road ran out down in these parts and took off on foot. Looks like hillbilly country with all those hub cabs stuck on poles... Yeehaw! But as it IS a slow-mo day I only collected this cache and left.

Heading up to Kilkivan to attend the annual event, which we've become quite find of over the last few years.
Instead of taking the boring highway route, we're heading out through Nanango and stopping here and there to make some finds along the way of ones we've missed previously or that have been published since our last visit.
---
Log for Drive no further signed at 08:33 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **youngoldfella**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

OK !!
I will drive no further
And for the final four caches out here I shall stroll
The first stroll was rather short,
as I had parked the geomobile next to the cache
A quick find as a local who I had disturbed,
took off in a cloud of dust with his chainsaw in tow
Bl@@dy timber stealers
No respect for our forests,
or wildlife [:o]

#7765 Cache Found
After being idle and tied up with household chores over the last few weeks, It didn't take to much prodding to decide a mini road trip was in order.
After consulting the trusty map decided that a little adventure North through Yarraman, Narango and Kingaroy. And because youngoldfella places his caches along some great country roads the marjority of attempts would be on his caches, With a few others thrown in for good measure Maybe the road has detoriated because of funding for repairs??? Nice cache thanks for bringing me here and for the adventure.
Thanks for the great cache and adventure youngoldfella

1980, AC/DC scored their first UK No.1 album with Back In Black. It was the first AC/DC album recorded without former lead singer Bon Scott (who died on 19 February 1980 at the age of 33), and was dedicated to him. The album has sold an estimated 49 million copies worldwide to date, making it the second highest selling album of all time, and the best selling hard rock or heavy metal album, as well as the best selling album ever released by a band.

We did this some late in the day and so enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the countryside. Great cache. Thanks to youngoldfella for its placement and adding to our enjoyment of this location.
Out gathering a few more smilies that we have missed on previous occasions. Thanks youngoldfella.
Captain Terror and I were in Nanango for the weekend. We came for the event and we stayed for the wonderful caches and delicious breakfasts at the bakery. This was the 23rd and last cache for the day. We drove over to this one and obeyed the 'drive no further' in the cache name. We headed over to GZ and made the quick find. Once our names were in the logbook we replaced the cache as found and headed back to the car and off towards dinner with a few caching friends. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella.
This afternoon Net88 and I were on the brink of retiring to the tent for the evening, but a last drive and bit of exploring was chosen instead. The same road the campsite was on lead to McCauley Weir, and despite me wanting to see it, the council does not want me to see it. Thankfully, there are geocaches nearby. We'd just found another in the area and this was our last find for a hectic day that started early morning and included lots of geocache finds, a massive event and a bush bash near Tarong.
I was glad the description for this one made more sense than the signs and we parked not too far away from the geocache. A brief consultation with the GPSr lead us right to the obvious spot and another, typical, suitable youngoldfella container. The logbook was signed, then everything replaced. While bummed about the gates across the road and no visit to the weir, I liked the Seven Mile Diggings area and wouldn't mind doing the walk one day. Oh, and on the drive out we saw where we'd go to look at Christmas lights tomorrow night. An excellent ending to our day on the South Burnett. Thanks for this geocache, youngoldfella

TFTC youngoldfella out and about with Purple_Ninja_00 his new GPS is working well
I am conducting an experiment and the only way I can do this with my own caches is this way. There are not the number of other hiders caches within 200kml radius of my home. The experiment will run from 24/12 till after Easter 2014 and it will involve in part having to find some of my own caches as I do not want to drive over 300klms every week to get the result I am looking for. I am also using a different GPSr to that used to set up these hides. Now using my brand new Magellan 710. Experiment not going as well as I was expecting. I do realise that it is frowned upon to find your own caches but sometimes one just has to let any comments come and go.
